This is a short one, but I like it. I hc Cass to get at least a bit jealous when she finds out abt Hugo and Varian.

Cassandra was just beside the bridge, ready to come back home. She had been away from home for so long she had almost forgotten how beautiful it was. 5 long years, she had been away. But she was coming back today. She walked through the streets, and arrived at the castle. She walked in and found Rapunzel on the throne with Eugene in a Captains uniform next to her. He was clearly flirting. She giggled a bit, and Rapunzel looked up. Her face brightened when she saw Cass.

"CASSANDRA!!!" She called, and waved her friend over.

"So! You're the queen now, huh?"

"Yup! What are you doing here?" Rapunzel smiled.

"I thought I would come back home for a bit. I missed you guys," Cass answered, "even you, Eugene."

He smiled. "Even CassAndra can't resist me!" She laughed.

"Hey, where's Varian?" She asked. She didn't want to admit it, but she might've had a small crush on the kid. (I'm a Cassarian shipper, ok?)

"Oh! He's still working. Eugene, could you bring him please?"

"Of course, sunshine," he said, and left to find Varian. The two friends chatted for a bit a caught up, laughing from time to time. Suddenly Eugene burst in screaming, being chased by Varian and... some blonde boy. With a ponytail. And glasses. Who was that?

Suddenly Varian stopped, and so did the blondie with him. Varian gasped. "CASSIE!!! YOU'RE BACK!!!" He yelled, and dove at her. The blondie looked surprised.

"Goggles... this is her?" He asked. Varian looked up, and confirmed it. Cass had no idea what was going on. "Not much compared to me! I mean, who would you prefer, her or me?"

Varian got up and walked over to the boy. "Always you, darling." He kissed the boy and the cheek and the guy turned into a tomato. "Right... guys, we're gonna need water, I broke Hugo again." Hugo. So that was the guy's name. What had just happened? Why did Varian kiss him? Why did she feel... jealous?
