Rose's pov
Ross and I arrived at the castle and were led to the dungeon. It was like below 0 in there. We walked to varian's cell, as the two of us got closer we heard vomiting, Ross and I ran towards it. We saw varian was sickly pale, thin and doubling over into a bucket. Ross and I both looked at each other before knowing what we needed to do. I would talk to the king about letting us take varian back to our villiage. While Ross tended to Varian. I left the dungeon and went to the throne room. For about 2 hours I argued with the king but my words were falling on deaf ears. I went back to the dungeon " so how did it go " Ross asked me as he put a cold cloth on varian's forehead. " The king said that Varian needs to stay locked up " I say clenching my fists " We need to get him out of here , he may not last the week here " I adds. Ross nodded and packed up our things . I grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around Varian, I picked him up and he was very light for his age. When did he last eat ?

4:30pm

Ross and I returned to our village , Varian snuggled close to me as we rode towards my home. Poor thing has been through so much . I knew that I'd be there for him when others had left him and turned thier backs on him. I placed him on the couch as Ross lit a fire. He whimpered as my hand left his shoulder , I kneeled near his head and placed my hand back on his shoulder , my other hand petting his hair. I began to sing a small tune

I went into the kitchen to make Varian something to eat , rose and I didn't have much food so I made a bowl of soup and got some medicine
