Carsden has never been your average town. To Fletcher, it always seemed like there was something happening, some new event, some kind of drama unfolding. He was used to keeping up with the usual going's on, but then things started to change. Something new appeared, something malicious and hidden from plain sight. Something that hung like a black fog over the town, waiting in the shadows for the right time to strike. It was only when young Maggie Rose disappeared that the pieces began to fall together, and the true danger within Carsden came to light.

This was a fun cover to make. The original idea was pretty hard to execute, to be honest, so I decided to change it up a bit. Instead of having a swirl of leaves in the centre with mysterious eyes poking through, I decided to create a border of brown leaves which served to frame the model in the center. The aim was to create a focal point in the graphic design; an eye-catching aspect that stands out, drawing the viewer into design. That was namely her unique features; her eyes and freckles. I applied your suggested colour scheme of oranges, yellows reds and browns which I think do well to demonstrate the autumn vibe, the time the story is set in. I also played a lot with the shadows and highlights to further enhance the different elements in the design.
