I tried to smile at him but it just didn't seem right. Sally has been in a worst situation because of me. I shouldn't have left her alone and what was I doing the whole time? Having snacks in the balcony and enjoying the taste of pies made by the bastard of course. In the loveliest place in the world.

I swear if she hadn't called, I wouldn't get to know. I'd still be there.

My blood boiled with anger just thinking of what I'm going to do to Daniel. I'll get him expelled for assaulting a girl after making her drunk.

I glanced at Sally who was sleeping peacefully on the grass floor with her body supported by my car. I found no better place to put her.

"You can come in my car. " Aaron suggested. He's being extremely nice and I get affected by nice people.

"I don't need your help. I'll just take a cab. Besides you have to cater for. . ." I paused looking at the similarity in the guy he was holding and himself.

"My twin brother. ", he answered my thought. How come he knew I'd ask that. Did I say it loud?

"Okay, bye. "

I pick Sally up and started to walk to the sidewalk. I'll come to pick my car up tomorrow and make the person who did this to my friend pay for it.

"I insist you come with me. Sally is more safe with us. I know you might not like the idea if coming with me but for her sake. . ."

I stopped in my tracks and turned at him in a glance. Then, I look back at Sally and a wave of guilt washed over me.

Reluctantly, I walk back to Aaron. That makes the two of us carrying drunk friends.

I placed Sally at the back seat and was going to sit with her.

"Let Noah also stay at the backseat. That makes two unconscious people together. " he laughs. But I didn't because I was responsible for Sally's state. I shouldn't have given Daniel a go ahead. He's a bloody loser.

"Are you okay? " Aaron asked, pulling me out of my trance. I look at him in the eye.

"What? "

"You look pale. Are you still thinking about what Daniel did? I promise he'll pay for this. "

I clench my jaws. "I'll surely make him pay for it. I feel really guilty. I shouldn't have left them together. I was stupidly eating forgetting Sally isn't that bold around boys. I thought. . . Fuck! " I cussed as I got in the front seat and slammed the door behind me.

Aaron also got in and started to drive. I was looking out the window all through the drive. Suddenly I could feel eyes boring into mine. I turn my head sharply at Aaron.

"What? "

His eyes widened. "I was thinking you were someone I know. But I don't know. . . If I should ask you that. "

"Then don't. " I snap and look away.

"Well, where will I drop you?"

I told him my address since Sally's parents weren't aware she was going to a party.

He pulled up in front of my house and then chuckled.

"Are you kidding me? "

I glance at him. "What? "

"We're neighbors! "

My hooded eyes widened. No way. We aren't. If we were, I would see him around.

"You're making it up. How are we that? "

"But, Mrs Jones had a girl child. "

Holy Shit. He knows mom.

"What? When did you move here? "

He removed the car key from the ignition. "We were always here, H. Our house is separated from yours by that pole. Over there. " he pointed out at the street light pole behind my house.

I traced his finger until it landed on the pitch colored house I never really paid attention to. Its windows were closed and directly to my room's. Was it not of those strange neighbours we had some time ago?

Mom said they moved so I'm not sure it's them. We always heard some noises in there occasionally but I was too busy with my life to care about what the hell might be happening.

And then I turned my head around to look at him. I wanted to ask,  but—"No way I'm neighbours with you now. " I groan.

He chuckles. "Well, now that we are. Friends? "

"I'm not yet friends with you. " I frown and unclasped the seatbelt off me and went to pick Sally.

He was awkwardly silent. Was I too harsh? Aish, that's me. And I don't have an idea what to say to undo that.

I wanted to stop going and turn around and then say thank you but I didn't do any of those. I just continued to pull Sally into the house without a second glance.
