Nerdy but egoistic

I hadn't known the guy from Adam but I disliked when anyone spoke rudely to me especially when I'm minding my own business so I reacted that way.

Besides his cute face really deceived me into thinking I could make friends with him despite being from different schools. Who could guess he could be so arrogant? Or else why would anyone hate a person they just met who in fact helped them?

Traipsing the side of the field, I can't help but smile though. The guy is really weird.

Noah waved at me in his short knickers, shirtless on the field and my eyebrows pull up at him.

He laughs and shrugs. I walk up to him and frown disapprovingly. He's my twin brother anyway but we don't look alike quite well except for the same eye colors we have. Turquoise blue and the charismatic attitude I think we got from our dad.

"How was it? " I ask. He shrugs again, hanging his arms on my shoulder.

"Awesome beating the other team. And I still think you should join the team"

"Nah. I'm sorry, " I shrug his arm off my shoulder abruptly. "I don't think it's for me. "

"Common why not! What a body you hide in this get-up mate. "

"I have my reasons. " I say into the space before Noah playfully nudged me at the side.

"Okay, since I'll never know. Let's get something to eat before the coach starts to yell again. " I laugh and let myself get pulled along with him towards the diner around the stadium.

It was buzzing and filled with people who might be as hungry as we were. Not that I'm so hungry but yeah, a bit.

Noah went to get the food while I wait by my table. I got tired of waiting. Probably he's flirting with a girl yet again. I sigh and start to read the book I was holding 'The Great Gatsby', letting the book cover my face from the sun rays.

Midway reading, I notice a shadow upon the table and I frown.

Noah.

I look up, ready to snap at him but I paused immediately I saw the face. Not Noah.

"To hell with being a girl. " he mutters and I just continue to stare at him. I can't help but notice how cute he looked whilst he raked his fingers through his hair.

It's him from earlier. And what is he doing at our table? There are a lot here for both schools.

And just then, he seemed to acknowledge the person sitting across him. Immediately he saw my face, his jaw dropped.

"You?" we both chorused.

"Ugh. " he growls and stares at me for a moment.

"Why must it be you of all people? " he snorts, and then walks away before I got a chance to talk or maybe make friends.

Okay. Weird.

I watch him sit at another table where his girlfriend later joined him.

They both seemed to be talking about me though majorly it's his girlfriend who was doing the talking. She was glancing at me occasionally then meeting my eyes, she looked away as if she was not just caught.

A! N: I'm so sorry I couldn't update last week so to make up for it, I'm doing a double update next time. This chapter is super short I know but longer ones as story progresses.
