"Daniel is inviting everyone to his party. Will you go too? " Sally suddenly asked.

She was lying on my bed,  reading a Romance novel. My parents weren't home so I called her over since her house was just next door.

I stop doing my homework and shrug. "Maybe,  if I'm free. "

She sits up. "I'm going anyway. Just wanted to ask you. Actually I don't have a car. So you'll drive us. And that reminds me,  I need to get a driving license too. "

"Your problem. " she flung the book at me playfully and I catch it,  studying it and reading out the name. "The Forbidden Ferrara... "

I roll my eyes. "Typical romance novel duh. "

"I think you need to learn that this novel is nothing typical. Well,  how would you know? You don't act a girl. It's like teaching maths to a dog"

I nod my head few times. "Tell me about the novel then. Maybe I'll fit in to be a girl if I relate to it. "

I noticed her cheerful smile as she took a resitting and started narrating the story to me.

"So she bore a child for him already. That's nothing girlish. Why would she give in to a night of pleasure under such circumstances? It's stupid. "

"Love,  my dear. Love. " Sally demonstrated by shaping her fingers into the love sign and holding it to her heart.

"Well,  I don't believe in love. " I roll my eyes.

Later that day, we got dressed for the party.

"You have such boring clothes. "

"Enlighten me. " I tie my shoe lace and watch her do her makeup.

"I look sexy enough to convince a guy. "

"Oh. You mean Daniel? " I rose a perfect brow in suspicion. From the mirror,  I could see her cheek go crimson. "Um,  you like him? "

She turned quickly. "No! I... I just,  well we're getting late? " she grabbed her purse from the vanity mirror and dashed for the door.

"Good evening, aunt " I hear her and I knew it was mom.

I turn immediately and waved. "Hey mom. You're back? "

Mom smiled and held out a new set of clothes she bought me. I roll my eyes.

"You know I don't need them. "

"You do." mom sternly replied,  stepping into my room.

I stood up from the floor. "I thought you went to office. "

"And I decided to shop some good girl clothes for my baby. "

I glare at the clothes as she dropped them on the bed. "And I overheard you two. You are going to a party? "

"Ah,  ye—"

"No,  just hanging out. " I interrupt Sally. "Bye mom. "

Mom sighed knowing I was lying. "Okay. Bye. "

I waved at her and we jogged towards the door. When we got in my car,  I noticed Sally's stare.

"What?" I ask without eye contact.

"Why did you lie to your mom? "

"Nothing. Just didn't wanna wear those prisoner clothes. "

"Proper girls'clothes!"

I laugh seeing Sally annoyed. "Why? You felt bad? Imagine how I feel when you tell me I don't dress like a girl. Must I seriously? I don't care what people think Sally. There's nothing wrong with my getup. That is just me. "

Sally huffed and refused to talk to me.

"Stop sulking. You won't look good to Daniel that way. "

Sally's jaw dropped as she glared at me.

"Uh-huh, you're so cute when you blush. "

Sally started to hit me and that gave me more opportunity to tease her.

"Aw! So much energy. Save some for the late night kisses. " I winked at her.

She grew all red and after hitting me a few times,  she got tired.

"You're annoying. I hate you. "

"But you love me though. "

The party had already started when we got there. I said hi to a few people I recognised and we got inside.

"How do I look? "

"Like a girl. " I said whilst sidehugging Alex, one of my guy friends.

Sally suddenly hit me at my hip and I grunted.

"Awesome. "

Her eyes widened in expectation. "Really? "

"Daniel would fall on his knees. "

She grinned. "Well,  if you say so. Or I'll kill you if that is wrong. "

We stayed at a corner in the hall watching the party go on. Sally was against getting an alcoholic drink because of insecurity we might end up in an accident on our way home. I could've object but I didn't want to upset her mood.

I was getting bored. "Would you mind to dance,  Sally. "

"Nope. I'm bored. "

I laughed. "Same here. "

We both rushed to the centre of the room and started to dance to the music.

"You know,  people would think we're dating. "

"I don't care. You worry too much. "

Sally hit my shoulder playfully again. I might get a broken arm with Sally's typical playful hits but it's okay,  I'm used to it.

"My legs hurt. " She complained,  shifting her weight on both legs.

"It's bound to be when you wear such high heels. Being a girl has a lot of troubles. " I gave a sardonic smile.

"Hey, Sally. " someone said from behind me. From her nervous grip on my hand,  I knew it was someone she never expected.

I turned and it's Daniel. I turned back at Sally and gave her a reassuring smile.

"Hey, Daniel. "

"Thanks for coming guys. "

"Sure. "

He was not even paying attention to me but the girl hiding behind me. I smirked.

"Actually Sally wanted to dance with you—" she jabbed me in the waist. "Enjoy yourselves. "

I wink at Sally and wave a bye. She must be cussing at me now, I thought as I walked to the loveliest place in the world. The Kitchen.

I rushed over to the fridge to get some snacks and luckily, there were lots. I grabbed the chips, meat pies, doughs pancakes and some fritters.

That's not too much right?

"Courtney is with Tyler. " a familiar voice stormed the kitchen.

I paused and listened carefully. The person was silent then spoke again.

"Alright. I'll come with Noah. "

I turned immediately. That voice. I searched around the kitchen with my eyes.

And it fell on Mr. Simply Aaron
