CHAPTER-1
" T is for trauma! "
As sober as I was, the hypnotizing purple and blue laser lights making a surprise appearance every now and then in this crowd filled hall was enough to make my headache. I am most girls. I do go party and drink occasionally but the taste of something burning in my throat isn't really pleasing. I impatiently wait for the fruit punch I was promised as I look around at these unfamiliar faces.
"What part of we are not dating do you not get G" I hear a manly voice yell at a petite looking girl in front of me.
"Stay low-key please, don't get into trouble especially not with Jacob. He's dangerous" these words ring through my ears as I watch a Greek god yell at the blonde.
"Does everything mean nothing to you?" she asks timidly, I felt awfully bad for her. She was beautiful, she had long golden curls dripping down her shoulder, her dress perfectly hugging her at the right places and her eyes, oh they had a sparkle in them as she spoke to the boy in front of her.
"I warned you" he growls looking around, hoping no one heard her " I made it clear to you that I'm here only for the sex and there's nothing more that can happen " he hisses, his eyes scan the room once again, he starts from the left of his shoulder and his daggered gaze lands straight into my eyes.
We were making direct eye contact, he didn't seem a bit impressed with my presence. His eyes were honey brown, they looked so dark as he continued to eye me from top to the bottom, I was wearing nothing fancy, just a leopard print top with some black shorts and a black leather jacket.
His eyes still hooked to mine, he struts forward ignoring whatever G had to tell him, he was radiating heat. I could feel the anger which filled in him when he looked at me. G grasps his arms and prevents him from moving further.
"Give me a minute G" he tells her not breaking eye contact with me.
My first instinct was to stand up and walk away as fast as I could, so decided I'd quickly make an escape before I was burned alive in the hell fire that was about go down.
"Where do you think you're going" Jacobs voice rings in my ear, I turn around and the distance between our bodies was very brief, he was way taller than me I had to hurt my neck to look up at him staring down at me infuriated.
"Just a nice walk, a beautiful place you own who could miss a little house tour" I give him a fake smile managing to introduce a small awkward laugh as I wave around my hand. His gaze intensifies, unimpressed he continues to gawk at me.
"Aren't you the top student from Vincent High?" his lips tug into a small smirk as he crosses his hefty arms.
The rivalry between Vincent High and Xaviers was an ongoing tension which probably had lasted more than ten years now, the best part is Vincents remained unbeaten, the top school in the city I lived and then came Xaviers at the second place. It was quite obvious Xaviers disliked the Vincents.
I had worked my butt off to get into Vincents, it wasn't as easy as they made it sound. The undying competition around the world to get into one of the schools my city offered was humongous .I had spent countless hours, day and night studying to pass their entrance examination and when the result came in not only did I pass I had topped it. I was not really a book worm, but whenever I felt like quitting it just occurred to me that I had a lot of idiots from high school to prove wrong.
"Are you going to reply to me or are you going to continue to examine my face while giving me time to execute your murder" Jacob asks sternly, his hefty arms still crossed across his chest.
"Yes of course, I am" I reply "We love the Xaviers" I smile at him, while hoping he buys the awful lie my mouth had just told him.
"Right, that's it I've had enough" he pauses "who are you here with?" he asks raising his left eyebrow.
"She's with me" Arthur replies, wonder what took him so long to bring a simple fruit punch. Nevertheless I was grateful he was here at the right time. I have been friends with Arthur for quite a while now, simply because he's dating my best friend. After my bestfriend moved across the state he had become extremely lonely so we'd been talking more often than before.
"Guess its your lucky day Morgan" he says as he steps back not breaking eye contact with Arthur. I remain perplexed at the fact that he recognized my last name. Arthur and Jacob were both alumini of Xaviers, upon Arthur's insistence and a lot of backing off I had finally agreed to come along with him to their party.
"Thank you" I sigh as I take the fruit drink from Arthur.
"No really, thank god" he shakes his head in disbelief. "Thank god, I came on time, you know he would have slayed you alive Aaliyah" he lets out a big hefty sigh of satisfaction.
"right" I say looking at G who was now looking out of the window alone, I had missed the rest of their conversation while I was engaged with Arthur. She seemed like a really nice girl who definitely deserved better than to be ill-treated. She shakes her head and makes her way to the top floor.
"Maybe I could cheer her up?" I ask myself. As much as they hated me they would probably appreciate me being concerned with their petty problems.
"I'll just be back, mother nature is calling" I tell Arthur and he nods.
I climb the royal stairway leading to the first floor of the large building, I gape at its marble flooring and detailing on every stair. it was beautiful, although we weren't allowed to stay with our parents once college began, we were allowed to pool in money and stay together with other batchmates at apartments or for instance huge mansions like these.
I chose to stay at the dorms my college had to offer, they weren't the best but they were pretty spacious. I remember spending days and nights planning out what it'd look like, a pure bohemian theme for a plant mom like me.
I finally reach to the top of the flight of stairs and gawk in awe. There were five rooms, which one did G go to? I decide to check out every single room on the floor. Despite the fact that they were so many people at the party tonight, I didn't spot a single soul on this floor. They were filled in the lower floor and the front lawn.
I decide to step into the first room in sight.
"Here goes nothing" I whisper to myself as I step into the room.
