Chapter 7: Family Home

A/N: The lion is going to make sense later in the story I hope y'all love it. It is also a long chapter as well. without further ado enjoy and let me know what u guys think, please.

Mystery p.o.v:

I was sitting on my living room couch with my long-term lover as we watched Dynamite. I am somewhat of a wrestling fan, but I mostly watch it for someone specific.

Anyway, as I was watching, I grew incredibly displeased and enraged to see Racheal make her debut, nearly throwing my drink at the TV. If I wasn't sitting next to my man at the time, I likely would have too.

The reason why? Because I know what this means now that she's here, now that she's back with him....

Racheal's p.o.v:

Once we arrived home, we pulled up to the front gate and I saw Chris take in the beautiful sight of our parent's home.

Ben then pulled out the button to the gate and the garage, opening both simultaneously. We then pull in and park our bikes in the garage. I reluctantly separated myself from Chris as I got off, immediately missing the feeling of being against him.

"I've missed these rides with you," he confessed to me.

I grew thankful for the fact I still had the helmet on so he couldn't see me blush.

"Me too," I smiled.

He started taking off his helmet. I stopped him.

"Let me help take it off," I suggested. "I can make sure nothing got stuck and fix your hair."

"I think I can take it off by myself; but if you want, you can help me fix my hair afterward" he replied.

His eyes seemed to shine. He takes off the helmet carefully, making sure nothing gets caught. His hair was a little messed up from it though.

I giggled at the sight.

"Oh, you think this is funny?" He raised an eyebrow raised.

"Well, it is pretty adorable, and a rather fitting look for you actually," I grinned.

"Ok now, let's see if you look any better," he retorted playfully.

"Mmm," I cutely replied with a shrug before removing my own helmet, carefully ensuring nothing got caught as well.

Chris laughed once he saw the shape of my hair, which the shower I had not long ago did not help with now that it's been in a helmet.

"You're a real mop-head yourself," he joked, earning a stink eye and tongue sticking out from me.

He laughs as I quickly fix my hair a bit before fixing his. I hear Bubba snicker while removing his helmet.

"Shut up!" I irritably retorted.

He jokingly makes the high school bitch face at me before entering the house, leaving me with Chris.

"You do look cute," he said unexpectedly.

I just blushed, not expecting him to say that. It left me speechless. He giggled as he saw my reaction. He walked closer to me and then gently placed his hand on my cheek. He gently rubbed his thumb across my cheek.

"God, I've missed you so much," he stated as he looked into my eyes, a sudden urge to grab him and kiss him hard suddenly overcoming me.

Thankfully, the sound of an approaching truck interrupted the moment before I became too weak to resist. Chris removed his hand before a pair of headlights illuminated the garage. The warmth of Chris' hand was now replaced by a dreaded breeze brushing against it. I took a deep breath and let it out, relieving myself of the sudden urges before waving with a smile. Mum and Da pulled into the garage before exiting the truck with Gus and Brutus.

"Some day, I will beat you two here, bikes or no bikes," Da jokingly stated.

I laughed while petting the furry babies. We grabbed the luggage from the truck and entered the house before setting our helmets down and removing our jackets.

"I was wondering if you two were coming in or not," teased Bubba before greeting the others with hugs or head pats.

I just shook my head.

"Anybody feeling hungry?" Mum asked.

"A little bit," I nodded.

"Yeah, I could eat," added Bubba.

"Chris, can we get you anything?" She then offered.

"Got anything to drink?" He asked and Da laughed.

"Oh, brother, you know I always got something to drink."

Chris laughed before we all headed for the kitchen and dining area. He glances around to admire our parents' home here as we make our way there.

"I can show you around the rest of the house tomorrow since it's late," I told him with a smile.

He nods with a smile.

'God, why does he have to be so handsome?' I thought, 'Everything about him I just find handsome or adorable and he doesn't need to try.'

"Where is he going to sleep?" Asked Bubba

"With me," I said with no hesitation.

Ben snaps a weirded-out look at me while stopping dead in his tracks.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"Don't look at me like that," I rolled my eyes at him. "You know we've shared rooms before and it's been a long time."

"Well at least choose your words more carefully, ya weirdo" he mentioned with that same look displayed.

I gave him one of my own with my tongue out.

"Like your one to talk."

"Alright, you two," Chris laughed. "Is everyone okay with that?"

"Yeah, we trust you," Da nodded. "Ain't nothin' we haven't done before."

"So, this means I get to stay in my own bed again?" Bubba smirked and I narrowed my eyes at him. "Hey, I'm just making sure."

"I can't help that I love to cuddle," I stated, "and besides, his cuddles are better than yours."

He dramatically gasped as if I had offended him. Mum and Da laughed while Chris grew smug.

"Excuse me! Since when do you complain about my cuddles?!"

"I'm not complaining, his are just better," I shrugged.

"Oh, and what makes him better?" He questioned with his hands on his hips.

"Well, I'd rather cuddle with someone built like an Airfryer than a twig."

He drops his hands, along with his jaw, as Chris and our parents just laugh.

"Oh, dude!" Da laughed. "She went way below the belt on that one."

"You know what, I'm gonna tell Lexi you said that and she's gonna have something to say about it," promised Bubba.

"Ooooo, I am so scared," I said dramatically.

"You should be," he stated.

"I would but I have a certain Australian badass," I smirked as I put my hands in my pocket. "On my side, no one dares to mess with me."

"Uh, you seem to forget she rolled with a certain Fiend. It takes much more than just some badass with her."

"She runs with the Judgment Day," I stated with a chuckle. "I think they outnumber them and you know what they say about the numbers game."

"So?! This is Wyatt and Bliss we're talking about. You really numbers have any effect-"

"Alright, you two!" Da cut off to end our squabble.

He then goes to fix our drinks while muttering something to Mum.

"Fully grown, professional athletes, one of 'em is married, and they still act like small children around each other."

Our Mum laughed.

It was then that Da got to make some drinks for us. He fixed a glass of vodka and water on rocks for Chris, which we both remember as the only alcoholic beverage he'll drink, a Coke and rum for me and Mum, and two separate bottles from the fridge; which were a Miller Light for himself and a watermelon flavored Jack Daniel's for Bubba. Ben doesn't normally drink, hardly ever at that, but that is one of the few beverages he enjoys when he does. He also always has it with a separate glass or bottle of water to prevent any possible hangover.

Once we all had our drinks, we gathered around in a small circle as Da prepared a toast.

"So, boys and girls, I know this year has been a not-so-thrilling rollercoaster ride for us; but as they say, when one door closes, another opens. We took a big risk, it was scary at first, but it's already paying off for us all. So, here's to new beginnings, to reuniting with old friends, meeting new ones, and bringing this family back where it belongs: on top of the world of wrestling."

"Amen!" Bubba cheered.

"I'll drink to that!" Chris followed. "Even though I'm not actually a part of the family."

We laughed before simultaneously taking a swig of our beverages.

"Well, you helped get us here, so we can definitely credit you in," I told with a smile, which he reflected.

We all felt proud to be here and ready to see what was next, especially after all the trials we faced together.

"This is going to be great, I know it," Bubba stated and we agreed. "Well now, if y'all will excuse me, I have an overdue video chat with the wife before getting some time to myself and hitting the sack." He grabs both of his drinks along with his bag. "So, goodnight everyone!"

He hugs Mum first.

"Goodnight, honey. Great work today."

He thanked her before hugging Da.

"Awesome job, son. Tell Miss Bliss we said hey."

He giggles before assuring him he would before we embrace ourselves.

"Also, do tell her Mami and I will be waiting for her," I smirked and he giggled.

"Yeah right. Goodnight, sis, I'm proud of you," he says while rubbing my back before pulling away.

"I'm proud of you too, Bubba," I blushed.

"And Chris, great to be working with you again, brotha."

They embrace as well.

"Likewise, kid."

"Goodnight, kiddos." He loves both of the babies before heading off to his room. "Love y'all!"

"Love ya too, Bubba," I said.

For the next short while, the four of us drank our beverages while enjoying a lovely conversation. It was great to catch up and see Chris and Da interact again. I just sat back and watched them talk while I finished my drink. I was mainly staring at Chris most of the time, still can't believe that we are working in a storyline together like we always dreamed of. I also caught my mom watching me for some reason, but she had such a wondrous look in her eyes. Of course, she could've caught me staring at Chris, and the thought alone had me growing a bit anxious.

When we were all finished, she got up to collect our cups and rinse them out in the sink. She then walks back over to me and speaks in my ear.

"How 'bout we let the boys have their talk and have some girl time?" She asked with a warm smile.

"Sure," I nodded.

We exit the small table we have been sitting at while Chris and Da continue their talk. We step into the other room before she speaks.

"You seem much happier now. I don't think I've seen you this happy in a long time."

I smiled with glee.

"I am happy."

"Yeah, and you looked better than ever out there tonight; you and your brother." I blushed again from her kind compliments. "Of course, I'm sure Chris has a lot to do with that."

"Ma, you know how much it means to him and me to be in a storyline with him," I said. "Especially after seeing him go against Da."

She smiled.

"That is one of your favorites isn't it?" Asked Mum.

"Yes, and when they teamed up, too."

I thought of the times they were 'forced' to team up. They made a great team but also a great rivalry as well. Now, I am in Da's place, and I wouldn't change it for the world.

"Your cheeks must hurt from all that smiling you've been doing," I heard Mum say while giggling.

I just giggled.

"I am just happy now that I am with my friends and mentors again;" I said, "and I ain't with Vince no more. So, I feel free now. I finally get to stretch and get my paws dirty again."

Mum just smiled.

"I know, my little hound," Mum replied. "I used to respect Vince until he started to do that to you. It took all your dad's strength and then some just to keep me from going after him myself. No one, and I do mean no one, messes with my babies."

"Thank you, Mum," I smiled. "You, Da, Bubba, and Tomo, I don't know what I do without you guys."

"I know, it's what we're here for," she smiled before engulfing me in a motherly hug. "And you know you can always come to me for things. I am not going to force you to tell me but know I am here."

"I do, Mum, I always have," I assured her with a peck on the cheek, which she returned.

"Even for guy troubles?" She then asked out of the blue, which I will admit took me by surprise.

However, I had a feeling about what she was referring to as I glanced down the hall in Chris' direction. I can't say I'm surprised she noticed, though. Her motherly instincts have always been top-notch.

"You don't mean just any guy, do you?" I nervously asked.

"Like I said, you always seem much happier around him or when talking about him; and I couldn't help but notice how you two seemed before we pulled in..."

I glanced down as my cheeks burned a bright red, which made her giggle, given she always found it adorable when this happened.

"Nothing happened, I promise, even though it felt like something would for a moment there," I sheepishly stated.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't meaning to make you feel uncomfortable," she quickly apologized. "I'll say it again, I won't force you to talk about it if you don't want to."

I managed to smile a little, actually feeling somewhat relieved.

"It's okay, I'm actually glad I get to talk with you about it now. I wanted to sooner, I just wasn't sure how you would feel about me... having the hots for someone closer to your age than mine."

Mum took in an uneasy breath from that notion.

"Yeah, I mean, it is a little weird; but Chris is like me; he doesn't really act his age at all." We both laughed at that. "Besides, age gap aside, I know Chris. He is a great man, and I love how happy he makes you."

"Yeah, he is a great guy," I said, "and a great father as well."

I smiled at the thought. How he is with his son making sure he is happy and taken care of. He loved his son a lot and it shows by the calls and gifts he gets I know Chris sees him when he is in town even, though I am not there since the other company kept me busy a lot of the time, which is why we haven't seen each other, Vince made sure I didn't see the others much if any at all.

"Does anyone else know about this?" I hear Mum ask.

"Only Demi and Buddy do."

"Why am I not surprised by that?" She giggles

I laughed.

"Well me and her are close," I said, "she even tells me to talk to him about it. She hates seeing me miserable and lonely."

"She right you should talk to him about how you feel," Mum says softly, "I hate seeing you lonely, your dad and I both hope you find that one guy that makes you feel special not knowing that it could be Chris."

"I would Mum," I said sadly, "but I don't want to ruin what we have already, I am scared to do that. What he and I have is great I never clicked with anyone like I do him for some reason."

"I understand, sweetie," Mum softly said, "but sometimes you gotta take that chance, especially with your happiness."

She looked down the hallway with a small smile before looking back at me and continued.

"I love your father a lot and if I didn't take the leap that I took I wouldn't have three wonderful, and talented kids."

I smiled and blushed before hugging her.

"I will think about it okay?" I asked still hugging her.

She nods before pulling away.

"Just don't wait too long about it then it could be too late," she says with tears in her eyes, "Sometimes I forget you're not a little girl anymore; you will always be mine and your father's baby girl, even though you're not so little anymore."

"I wouldn't be any other way, Mum," I said with tears in my eyes. "You two are the best parents I could ever ask for."

"So what are you two wonderful ladies talking about?" Asked Da as he and Chris walked over to us.

Da went to Mum and gave her a peck on her lips.

I turned away a bit, not wanting to look. Just like with Tay and Sammie kissing earlier, I couldn't look; I saw in the corner of my eye Chris doing the same thing too.

Luckily, they didn't kiss for too long.

"We were just having mom and daughter time," Mum answered with a smile. "While you were catching up with your friend."

"Wait, am I not your friend anymore?" Chris joked while Mum rolled her eyes.

"I don't know," Mum said teasingly. "I think you are more our daughter's friend than ours now."

We all busted out laughing.

"This is true," Da agrees, "especially with all the times she steals you away."

"It's not my fault we click," I scoffed, "Besides, I can't help that I am more fun than you are Da."

"What was that princess?" Da asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Maybe you need to work on your hearing, you old fart," I teased, "or else you would have heard me."

"You did not just call me old fart," he said in disbelief as everyone else giggled.

"Well, it's either that or you got hit in the head too much, like Rocky Balboa."

"Oooo," Chris laughed as he and Mum grew surprised by my clever remark, especially given what a big Rocky fan Da is.

"Oh, I'll show you some Rocky Balboa here," he said as he cradled my head and began mimicking punches, causing me to laugh.

"Alright, you two," Mum said, half laughing but having that stern mum voice. "Calm it down."

"Yes, dear. I'm sorry," Da surrendered, releasing my head, but that seemed too easy of him. "She clearly deserves more fitting with the crime."

He then starts tickling me, catching me by surprise before causing me to laugh and squeal while Chris and Mum continue to watch and die of laughter.

Da and I became so distracted with our play fighting that we didn't realize what would occur between Mum and Chris.

3rd Person:

"Can I steal you away for a moment?" Julie asks while leaning close to Chris.

He giggles under his breath before responding.

"Of course. After you."

Racheal and Carlton continue their adorable showdown while Jericho and Julie walk down the hall and into one of the living rooms with their drinks in hand.

"I swear, I can't with those two at times," Julie commented, earning a laugh from Chris.

"I have to say, I missed her witty banter and fun antics," Chris added, which made Julie laugh.

"True, you never know what to expect from her next." They both laugh. "Speaking of which, that's actually why I wanted to talk to you in private."

Chris looks at her curiously.

"Ok, what's up?"

"Just motherly instincts," she shrugs at first. "You ever have those moments with your kids, when you just know when something special is up?"

"Oh, yes, definitely been there," he nods, almost laughing.

"Like when they have a crush on someone?"

"Yep," Chris laughed.

"You can especially tell that when they're around the person they have a crush on...."

Now, Chris is starting to grow suspicious of her words, especially from the next statement she makes.

"And you can even tell how much they feel the same way from how they interact with them..." She had this knowing, revealing look as she spoke, a look that told Chris exactly where she was going with this.

He starts to become shocked and worried, but Julie remains calm and seemingly understanding.

"I've noticed for a while now, and I want you to know it's OK with me," she smiles a little, which is even more surprising for Chris.

"Wait, are you sure? I mean, I am practically your age and a lot older than Racheal; and most parents wouldn't let that fly."

"True, but I've known you for a long time, almost as long as I've known Carl; and I've seen how you make her feel too. That, and you always seem just a little different when you're around her as well."

Chris smirks with a small laugh under his breath. He rubs the back of his neck nervously before responding.

"Honestly, I am different when she's around. I feel more alive or even young again, like back when I first started in this business."

Julie smiles hearing how he sees her daughter and how much she means to him.

"Of course, I've tried not to feel this way with how much younger she is, not wanting to make her uncomfortable or anything; but she was there for everything; the divorce, for my son, and she's treated him so well, for when I started having problems with WWE, all of it. She is just so... genuine and thoughtful and giving like no one else. She's just... perfect..." He realizes he is openly admitting to things he doesn't normally discuss, especially to Racheal's mother.

Julie is just trying to keep herself from crying at how passionately he is speaking about her daughter. For so long, she has waited for someone to see her that way; not just as a wrestler, but as a person in general; and here he was all along without realizing it.

"Well, I'm so glad to hear this from you, but I want to make something clear real quick." Chris grew serious while giving her his full attention. "She's been through a lot this year, faced a lot of big changes, and is only now finally starting to turn things in her favor. So, all I ask is that you first give it some time before you decide to pursue her; but also, if you do choose to do so, I want you to know that you have my blessing."

Chris lights up with a breath of relief, lifting a rock off his shoulders for the time being while happy to hear her acceptance of his feelings for Racheal.

"Thank you, it means so much to hear you say that."

"Yeah," she smiled back. "Of course, you may also have to wrestle with at least three other men if it comes to that."

They both start laughing, although that statement does carry a bit of a serious point.

"Thank you, though. I just hope when the time does come, those other three, especially Carlton, can be as accepting as you are."

Julie lowers her gaze, feeling for him while wanting to hope for the best.

"We'll see when we get there. Until then, I'm really glad we had this talk," she admitted.

"Me too. We're all lucky to have you, especially Carl and Racheal."

They both smile before sharing a hug, tying a pretty ribbon on this wonderful moment.

"And I do find you two cute together anyways," she whispers in his ear before pulling away.

Chris blushed and chuckled.

"Really think so?"

She nods with a smile.

Just then Racheal comes running in with Carlton on her tail.

"Mum, help me please," she begs while laughing as she tries to put her in between them. "Da won't stop."

"Your punishment isn't over princess," Da evilly laughs as he tries to get to his daughter.

Then, Ben comes into the room laughing as he watches the shenanigans of his sister and dad.

"Bubba, why aren't you helping?" Asks the White Wolf.

"And stop this entertainment?" He asks while laughing. "I'd rather not."

"I don't like you right now Bubba," Racheal pouts. "We are supposed to be on the same team."

"We are," Ben giggles, "but not if it's against Dad."

"Why?" Racheal taunts. "Are you afraid, Benny boy?"

"Racheal, you really don't want me to come after you as well," Ben jokingly taunts back.

"Well, me and Mum could take you two on, right Mum?" Ask Racheal

"Woah, I am not a part of this," Mum steps back.

"Mum, why?" Racheal asks in shock. "I thought you would be on my side."

"Don't worry, Mini Lionne, I have your back," Chris steps up and puts his arm over her shoulders.

"Yes, finally," Racheal says excitedly. "My hero."

She wrapped her arms around his waist before turning to the boys and sticking out her tongue.

"I have the Ocho, the almighty lionheart on my side. So, ha-ha," taunts Racheal.

"Okay everyone enough. I don't want a fight in my living room," said Julie as she stepped in; "and it is late, we need our sleep. So, get something to munch on then head to bed."

Then all you can hear is groans before you hear them saying, 'Yes mum/mom', 'Yes honey', and a 'Yes, Julie'.

Racheal kept an arm around the Lionheart's waist before looking up at him and asking.

"Do want to grab something to snack on before we go to bed?"

"I think I am good," he says as he looks down at his Mini Lionne before asking. "Do you want to?"

"Yes, along with getting a drink after all that," she answers with a giggle.

The Lionheart couldn't help but chuckle along with her while having the biggest smile on his face, as he looked down at her. They both walked to the kitchen side by side, almost in pure bliss. Both are happy, especially after the talk they had with Julie.

Julie watches them leave with a smile on her face. She is happy that her daughter found someone who sees her for her. She is also happy that her dear friend's heart is healing.

Ben went back to his bedroom since he snacked while watching his dad and sister mess around, he said good night to everyone.

"You're happy, My Pretty Girl," Carlton noticed as he wrapped his arms around his wife and pulled her close to him.

"I am," she smiles as she lays her head on his chest. "Two of our kids are at a better workplace, still doing what they love, and I get to see you work again; all the while seeing our dear friends again."

"Me too," Carlton said as he kissed his wife's head. "We all missed our friends and I have missed working in the wrestling business. Besides, I know how much you love to see me work."

His wife giggles.

"Let's go to bed, sweetie. We had a busy day and will probably tomorrow."

She nods before pulling away from her husband, holding his hand. They walk towards the kitchen to say goodnight to Chris and their daughter. As they do, they see Racheal sitting on the counter with Chris between her legs, they are talking with smiles on their faces as they munch on some cookies that were made yesterday by Racheal herself.

"Sorry to interrupt," Julie says, getting the attention of the duo; "but we're off to bed and wanted to say good night."

"Good night," they both said simultaneously.

They looked at each other before giggling.

"Don't stay up too late, you two," Carlton says before letting go of his wife and heading toward them to give his daughter a kiss goodnight; his wife followed suit.

"We won't Da," Racheal says pecking her dad on the cheek before doing the same for her mom. "Love you guys."

"We love you too, my wolf princess," Carlton says.

They both walked out with Gus following them.

"You know, I'm probably one of the few people who can get away with being caught between your legs by your parents," Chris commented, causing them both to laugh.

"Yeah, well, you wouldn't be the first they caught between my legs," she added, which caused Chris to look at her funny before they both laughed again.

"So, any other plans for tomorrow?" Chris asked as he leaned by the counter next to her.

"Probably just training and discussing how Rampage is gonna go, which I honestly can't wait to see what happens" she replies in between bites of her cookie.

"Me neither, it'll be good for sure," he smirks before taking another bite. "Mmm, I really have missed your cookies, too."

Racheal giggles and blushes.

"I don't mind making them again for you."

"I would love that. I might get fat from it, though," He giggled.

Racheal joins in.

"Don't worry, you still look good nonetheless." She says.

"Aww, thank you, Mini Lionne. You're too kind" he says while blushing a little bit.

Racheal giggles with a mouthful of food. They both become silent for a moment while staring into one another's gaze. The tension between them starts rising as each remembers their talk with Julie earlier. It didn't help how close they were either. That familiar magnetic force they felt in the garage earlier suddenly returned. Chris felt so tempted to lean it and kiss her, but knew it was best to give it some time for now like Julie suggested. He ends up glancing down before losing all his strength before finishing his cookie and grabbing his drink.

"Well, we better head off to bed now. It is late, I am really tired after the show, and you don't wanna wear out your body too much before tomorrow."

"I know," Racheal nodded before sliding herself off the counter and grabbing her drink as well.

She leads the way as they head up to her room with Brutus close behind. When they enter her room, Racheal grabs a pair of pajama shorts from her drawer and heads to the bathroom to change. Chris sits on the edge of the bed before stripping down to his boxer shorts and getting under the covers. Racheal steps out with her shirt and pj shorts on, tossing her dirty clothes into her hamper before joining Chris in the bed, both smiling at each other. She then grabs one of her stuffed animals; a plush lion she calls Stud that Chris got her at the first carnival they went to together.

Why Stud you might ask? A combination of Stu and D, for Stu Hart's Dungeon, where Chris originally became the Lionheart.

That, and she does consider Chris a bonified stud.

"You still have that?" Chris asked out of shock.

"Of course," she grins. "I would never give this one up, he comes with me everywhere I go."

Chris smiles with flattery as she joins him under covers, cuddling into his side like she always used to. Chris revelled in the returning familiarity of Racheal snuggling into him. Brutus soon joins them at the foot of the bed, using the steps Racheal brings to help him climb up the queen-sized bed. With both of them comfy and Stud joining the cuddle, everything just felt perfect in this moment.

"I really have missed you," he mentioned, causing her to blush again while snuggling further into his side.

"I've missed you too," she smiled.

Chris plants a tender kiss on her temple before they slowly start drifting to sleep, bringing this amazing, eventful day to a perfect end.
