☆~~~Akashi's P.O.V~~~★

She's...OBLIVIOUS. Up until now those who dared to defy me received a painful reminder. She does not seem to know who she is defying. The consequences of oblivion are not to be taken lightly. I shall, however, wait until the day she--who dared to defy me--understands the consequences of her actions, and when that day arrives, I shall no longer stand on ceremony to show her where she stands.

If I could alter her to suit me, then she would be perfect--perfection is but an illusion humans create in order to avoid the imperfections of things. Nevertheless, winners are perfect beings, victors are given all there is to enjoy in life, the defeated are denied all.

I felt my mouth quirk into a smirk, the thought of winning the bet--which is a given--and claiming the reward that comes with it leaves me as excited as a beast.

Cho, did you know? You have been my pet since the moment we made that bet...

☆~~~Cho's P.O.V~~~★

I've been getting this feeling that I've fallen prey to Akashi's schemes, but I won't let it happen no matter what! I'm not perfect, no one is--He IS NOT perfect for sure. But I get this feeling that I'm about to be proven wrong...? I never gave myself the chance to understand him, maybe I should, but he's not worth it...

"Cho! Go get dressed; guests are visiting in a couple of minutes!" I hear my mother yell--Sheesh, just when I thought I'd have some time to myself on a weekend after the horrible events that occurred in school.

A kimono was neatly laid out on the futon as I entered my washitsu(A/N: Traditional Japanese room) Japanese traditions were quite plain compared to modern--western ones, but I still love Kimonos, though I wish they replaced futons with western styled beds, my back could use that leisure.

"Be sure to pour tea for the guest." My mother instructed as soon as she saw I had gotten dressed. It was weird, just how important was this so called 'guest'? Usually she'd just order a maid to pour tea and hide me  out of existence, but today she didn't...Does she have a fever? Well, whatever. The sooner this is over, the faster I'll get to relax.

"It's good to see you again!" I hear Mother greet the guest brightly through the genkan(A/N: Entrance) as I prepared the tea.

"Cho!" She calls and I quickly arrange the needed utensils on the tray neatly.

I sit on my knees, place the tea tray next to me and slowly slide the fusuma(A/N: Sliding door) "Excuse my intrusion." I say while looking up to inspect the guest; he is a man with dark brown hair that could pass for red. Probably a few years older than my mother from the looks of it. Somehow he reminds me of someone, the aura he gives off... Whatever, it doesn't matter right now.

"Cho, this is..." She introduced but I was too engrossed in my thoughts to catch his name.  From her reaction though, he's probably an old family friend, maybe that's why he seems so familiar...? Or at least that's what I thought until he said:

"Excuse my son's rudeness. He was supposedly coming with me but, due to previous engagements, he could not."

As I poured the tea...Did he just say SON?! You've gotta be kidding me...! But it's not like Akashi is the only freaking guy on earth! I need to start thinking logically and not in a narrow minded way for once!

"Cho, we're about to discuss business, you may leave now." Mother dismissed and I followed. 'Business'? Are you gonna get married or something? Oh, whatever! I guess I can go sleep now even though its afternoon...Guess a little nap won't hurt...?

***

My so called 'nap' turned into a long slumber instead...Mother was furious, apparently the weird guest that came yesterday had wanted to speak with me, but of course since I was sleeping, he could not. He obviously must've found that extremely rude since he and my mother are of the same species apparently.

Morning assemblies are such a pain but I have to go through them anyway. I had thought my curiosity about the man subdued but boy was I wrong! My curiosity got the better of me and I decided to ask one of the 'Akashi worshippers' I knew...

"Hey, Reika..." I called out as I snuck up behind her, she must know something...

"Woah! Cho! You scared me!" She panicked jokingly as she turned around, the height difference between us left me quite annoyed. "What's the matter...?"

"Um, I wanted to ask you about Akashi's father...Since, y'know...You seem to know everything about Akashi. What does he look like?"

Reika was quiet for a bit, I could swear her face glowered for a split second before she answered. "Why do you want to know?"

"I'm the one asking questions here, aren't I?"

"Guess you've got a point," She sighed. "Well, unfortunately for you; I have never seen Akashi's father. Have you?"

"I don't think so...Anyway, I was just curious cause some person who looked like Akashi visited our house yesterday, must've been my imagination."

"I see, so that's it!" She smiles as if relieved. I don't understand why she needs to be so relieved or why she needed to be so mad before in the first place, but it's got nothing to do with me. If she doesn't know then no one knows--except the person in question of course...

For now I should just get through the assembly and morning classes before worrying about his father. Even if it really were his father, what am I going to do with that information...?

***

"Oi, Akashi!" I called out as I entered the student council room rudely. Curiosity got the better of me and I couldn't help but want to ask him. "What does your father look like?"

Akashi twitched in annoyance, his face glowering. What the hell? Why does everyone's face glower at the mention of his father? Is it some kind of switch...?

"What business do you have with my father?"

I'm the one asking questions here--I doubt I'd get away with it if I said that to him, but seriously, people aren't as straightforward as they used to be, answering questions immediately... "Nothing. Just some person visited our house yesterday and he sort of looked like you."

"Then I see no reason to answer."

Why is he so angry suddenly? I'm just asking about a freaking family member, no need to get so uptight about it...Maybe I can just ask my mother--but then again she'd probably grow suspicious. I don't think she forgave me for yesterday's rudeness and by the time she does, I would've most probably lost interest in finding out.

I don't know what type of face I was making while thinking that but, apparently it was amusing enough for Akashi to mockingly laugh at.

"Keep digging and you might actually reach an answer," He mocks while resting his cheek on his left hand. "After all, that is the only thing you are good at."

What the--first it's 'groveling' and now it's 'digging'?! Does he think I'm some freaking dog or what?! I knew it! I will never get along with this person! I just want to--I just want to..."I just want to know more about you!" I gasped as I understood the words that just escaped my mouth...Egh, I didn't truly mean that--was what I would've liked to say, but Akashi's mocking smirk or maybe smirk of amusement? Had already faded by the time my words reached him.

Akashi got up and headed towards me before stopping once there was a couple of centimeters distance between us. "Do not forget where you stand, CHO."

I shivered as I felt those foreign heterochromatic eyes pierce through me, I never really cared before at whether or not he glared at me or threatened me, but today was different for some unknown reason which I would really love to know.

However, I was taken aback by both his response and how he called my name for the first time... On another note, was I just...REJECTED...? Not literally but in a way I was.

"I shall take my leave now," He declared as he headed for the door. "You are the student council vice president now and I expect you to start acting like it."

"You shouldn't have chosen me if you're going to make such remarks."

"My judgment is precise, I know whether or not you are befitting for a job."

Was that supposed to be a compliment? I doubt it, it's more like 'I know you better than you ever will' which is not true! But if it's Akashi then maybe it's possible...

I was too engrossed in my thoughts to even notice Akashi had left the room without warning. I guess I should do whatever student council tasks that were assigned for me and prove him wrong--which is impossible because he probably provoked me on purpose to make sure I do them. Urgh, is there anyway to avoid his trap? More like a spiderweb that I've fallen prey to...

My phone started to vibrate as soon as I sat down on one of the free desk's and began looking through the documents...I took out my phone and looked at the notification; apparently, I'd received a text from my mother saying: "Be sure to keep yourself free tomorrow!"

Could she be anymore informal...? More importantly, why didn't she just call or wait until I was home to tell me? Guess she's still mad... I wonder what's happening tomorrow...?
