there was now a mixture of surprise and confusion on her face. he had been with rin for three years and he was just breaking up with her now. rin was his type, chaewon wasn't. it was the very reason why he rejected her before.

as much as she wanted to jump into his arms and love him the way she had yearned for years, she had her principles. she didn't want to be that girl.

the one who took her sister's boyfriend from her.

"namjoon, you dated my sister." chaewon pointed out. "as horrible as she is to me now, she once loved me very much. i can't do that to her."

even if rin had backstabbed her, dating namjoon when she knew chaewon's feelings for him. chaewon didn't want to do the same. at least until she could have her sister's blessing or approval.
