Chapter 5 (Part 2)
Previously
Akko's POV
I failed many times on that metamorphosis spell, even with me using Shiny Rod, I was still unable to cast it. I was able to use Shiny Rod back then, one from the orientation and the other from the Papilliodya, now I can't. I was about to give up but then this will undo everything I dreamed to be, this is not me at all. I came into this school to learn and become just like Shiny Chariot, and I will intend to become just like her no matter what. Trying to think of a way to help me improve my spell casting, a sudden thought came into my mind, I grabbed one of my cards and found the "Fountain of Polaris" card.
"The Fountain of Polaris. It gives magic of a great star to a witch with hidden potential." I red the description outloud.
I went for more info about the fountain in the variety of books in the shelf. I red a few lines until I found my answer, it so happens that this fountain is located here in the school, more specifically in the very edge of the north campus, just past the arc of the big dipper. Doing so with haste, I left the room with Shiny rod in my waist.
And here I am, sneaking away from my studies and wanting my hidden potential to be realized. I then hides behind on one of the pillars of door, after I saw someone heading towards my direction, I think I am perfectly hidden from the person, but I think I need to hide more of myself since these bunny ears my give away my position. After a few moments, I no longer hear the footstep, thinking that the person left, I left a sigh of relief. Wanting this investigation to be private as possible without anyone scolding me, mostly from Professor Finnelan or from Diana.
About to leave the area, I felt something just touch my bunny ears, still having my bunny attributes, the sensitive ears is one thing. I lightly screech, reeling forward until my knees and palms touch the ground, letting one of my hand scratch my touched bunny ear, trying to rid of the sensitive sensation.
"Hey, what did you that for?!" I asked the person who touched my bunny ears with an irritated voice, still scratching my bunny ears.
"My apologies lady." A calm, male voice rang into my ears. Wait. Male? I only know one male student, but Mahiko's voice was a little bit deeper than this person. The sensation on my bunny ears washed over my curiosity and turned into irritation.
"You should be sorry you little!----" I was about to shout towards this person's face, but when I fully took a look on his face, I saw a very handsome person. With green calculating eyes piercing to mine like trying to scan me. Feeling embarassed a bit for my actions, a small blush ran up to my cheeks as I try to say something towards them him. Then his eyes turned its attention to my bunny ears and did the same thing that irritated me.
"KYAAAAAAAAAA!!!" I screamed so loud that I could be heard throughout the campus.
------------------------------------------
Akko's POV
Why do these ears have to be this sensitive?! This guy truly doesn't know how to handle rabbits if this is the first thing he does when he sees one. Straight towards the ears without a care in the world. I hold both my head and rabbit ears out of pain as I try to relief these ears as much as possible. After I felt that the irritation is gone, I turned towards this guy who carelessly touch these rabbit ears.
"What was that for?!" I shouted at his face as I leaned in until we are a few inches away from each other's face.
"Huh? Oh, I'm so sorry." He apologizes while keeping a calm yet curious face. You should be sorry!!!
"Are those ears real?" He asks as he leans to look at the rabbit ears carefully. Is this guy never seen a real rabbit ears? Is this guy bonked in the head before to think that these ears are even real?
"Of course they are not real." I shouted which then I just sighed and groomed my left rabbit ear. "Though you could say that they are my ears."
"Which one is it?" I am slightly irritated by his question as I turn back to face him.
"They are my ears! I just made them kind of magic-like thanks with magic." I explained to him on why I have these sensitive ears in the first place. The guy just sighed and looked... dejected? I don't even know.
"Then, please allow me to excuse myself, Miss....." The guy has his left hand on his chest as he bent forward a little, like a bow. His sentence is cut-off after the "Miss" as he just stares at me. Eh? Why is he staring at me? Is there something on my face other than the rabbit nose and the rabbit ears? I just kept blinking and waiting for what he is going to do but he just kept staring at me for a few seconds. It then clicked to me that he is asking for my name.
"I'm Akko! It's Miss Akko! Kagari Atsuko. I mean, Atsuko Kagari? Hehehe. Please just call call me Akko. Hahahahaha." I awkwardly stated my name to this guy infront of me. Seeing as I am still confused on this whole "Miss/Mister" thing and just laughed my awkwardness away.
"Well, have a pleasant evening then, Miss Kagari." He gave a gentlemanly farewell to me, which made me stood uo straighter than before. I returned his farewell with another, though I still stutter on my first word.
"H-have a pleasant evening as well. Ummmm...." I am just standing there awkwardly, trying to remember if I know his name or not. After a few seconds of waiting, the guy just gave me a gentle smile before realizing that I am asking for his name.
"Andrew Hanbridge." Andrew, as he newly introduces himself, states his name to me. I just returned his smile and gave a curtly farewell.
"Have a good evening, Andrew...." I paused before I could state his full name. I thinked long and hard for where that name come from. The name that is already on the tip of my tongue but couldn't seem to get it. Until one memory flashed into my mind about Hannah and Barbara talking about some handsome dude that will be coming for the event tonight. That one name that clicked my mind made me looked at the pretty boy infront of me.
"Andrew? You're that handsome man, Andrew?!" I shouted my question while looking at the handsome man in front of me with an incredulous expression. I am really talking to THE Andrew Hanbridge, I quickly covered my mouth since I am talking to a high status person as I avert my eyes away from him out of embarassement.
"Are you student here?" Andrew asks me, only giving me a smile, ignoring my previous outburst about my disbelief of him. I quickly gave him an answer that I am a student of Luna Nova Academy.
"I've always considered witches to be strange, yet you are the most unique one I have ever met." He said while keeping his smile plastered on his face while talking. This got me excited that this handsome boy finds witches unique as I got close to him with happiness on my face.
"Really? Does that mean you like magic as well? Isn't that why you came to visit Luna Nova?" I asked him questions while he holds a confused look on his face. A brief silence fell between us as Andrew answered back with a smile on his while doing so.
"Oh please, I couldn't care less about magic. I am unable to fathom on why you insist on learning the antiquated and worthless use of magic. Besides, it'll be gone forever soon enough." He replied to me from having a small smile on his face until it became neutral. I couldn't believe what I hear coming from this guy's mouth. Magic? Disappearing forever? Unacceptable!
"It won't go away! Magic won't be away. We won't lose it either! Magic is neither antiquated nor it is worthless! Magic is a really, really wonderful thing!" I shouted back at the neutral looking guy while also releasing my anger towards him about his opinion on magic. Magic is not going away! I will swear my entire life on it! Andrew then looked at me with his eyes narrowed a little, as if trying to challenge me or something.
"Really? You say that magic still has some worth left?" He asks me with a smug look on his, which out of irritation, I answered back that magic still has some worth left. I want to swipe that smug look on his face after I showed him my magic.
"Mind giving me an demonstration of it?" He asks, testing if it does have some worth. I will show you that magic still worth it, though I am getting a little nervous, I have still yet to master some spells that I know, I might embarrass myself if I fail to show him an example. I looked around for something to work on until I saw a squirrel ranning past the grassy fields on my right.
"Metamorphie Faciesse!" I pull out my training wand from my waist and encanted my metamorphosis spell onto the squirrel. Though that was suppose to be my intention until the spell flew towards to Andrew's head and he is by the spell.
I screwed up! Big time! I slowly turn my head towards Andrew with a worried look while I still have my jaw dropped. I saw Andrew with an irritated look on his face as he looks at me.... with donkey ears replacing his real ears. I am so definitely screwed!
"And how does this exactly provide value about magic?" He asks with a calm voice though he looks at me with an annoyed looked.
"I-it was a little mistake! I'll you go back to normal again! Metamorphie Faciesse!" I shouted the spell yet again towards Andrew, hoping that the spell will return him back to normal. Lady Luck is not with me today, as I just made it worse by accidentally giving him a donkey's tail.
"Don't tell me that you have no idea how to fix this mess." He said while his right donkey twitches alongside his eyebrows. Obviously angry at me for turning some parts of him into donkey parts. I made a mistake! Please believe me!
"Andrew! Where are you?!" Another voice shouted from afar, maybe Andrew's friend. I quickly pulled Andrew with me and hid behind a pillar big enough for the both of us.
"Where did he go?"
"It would be troublesome if he were to wander about sround this school on his own."
We are still hiding behind the pillar until the voices fade away. I recognize Diana's voice but not the other one as the voice obviously came from a guy. We both panted as we released our breathe that we held from hiding.
"I'll really get another earful from the professors if someone finds me." I dejectedly said while looking down, already thinking of my punishment once I got caught not doing my assignment. My punishment will further worsen once they found out I accidentally messed with the son of an important figure that the professors are talking to right now.
"I don't want to be seen like this either as much as possible." Andrew said, though not as dejected as me but still he sound concerned about his looks and mines.
I really need to fix this mess quickly before I could get caught. With only one answer on my mind, I stood up and start walking with Andrew noticing me leaving as he followed me from behind.
"At this point, we have no other choice but to find the Fountain of Polaris. I'll have the Fountain of Polaris bestow the great magic power of the stars on me. Then the both of us should be able to go back to normal." I am determined to find this fountain, fix this mess that I accidentally made and prove to him that Magic is still valuable as it is back in the past.

Professor Ursula's POV
I am looking forward to Akko's progress on her metamorphosis magic. I am now in front of the Red Team's room as I gently knocked on the door three times, thinking that Akko may answer the door.
"Miss Kagari, are you holding yourself up fine from practicing the spell? I wouldn't mind helping you out on the spell?......" I opened the door to take a peak on the room, only to find that there is no one there. No Akko, only the practice mouse that is still inside its cage.
I entered inside the Red Team's room and walked straight towards the mouse, nothing changed from it as it seems that Akko either still hasn't mastered the spell or she has yet to perform the spell properly. I turned towards their desk and found a book opened on a page that tells about the Fountain of Polaris as well as a Shiny Chariot card that has the picture of the fountain on it.
"This is?" I looked at the card as I picked it up to my face. Dread starts to fall on me as my mind works simultaneously. I think I already know where Akko is, I just hope that the fountain doesn't show her anythinh bad. I placed the card down back at the book and went off to find where Akko is and hoping that the girl is OK.

Third Person POV
Back in the auditorium, everything is turning out smooth as possible. The professor and the Headmistress are still busy talking to Paul Hanbridge about the event. Meanwhile, back to Sucy, Lotte, Mahiko and Cater, the four of them can be seen at the far corner of the auditorium, away from the eyes of many as they don't want to be in trouble because of an uninvited guest has trespassed the school vicinity.
They are conversing amongst themselves with Cater, being the center of the conversation, tells Sucy and Lotte about his life on his school. Night Raven College or NRC for short is the school that he is attending. He talks about his school life, his dormitory and its weird rules as well as forming a club, a light music club that he co-founded with his other classmate named "Lilia Vanrouge". The girls are fascinated on the tales of Mahiko's cousin on his school life, as well as finding some facts about Mahiko that made the tall wizard blush out of embarrassement, which they found out that the tall wizard is an excellent singer and dancer.
"We didn't know that you could dance ans sing Mahiko-san." Lotte said to the tall wizard who is trying to cover his already covered face from embarrassement, a blush is evident on his face.
"Me neither. You just don't look like a guy that can dance. Or sing." Sucy added while having her plate and fork on her hand that is filled with marinated mushroom risotto as her dinner for tonight.
"I just don't want people to know such trivial information, that is all Lotte." Mahiko said while his cousin just giggles and pokes his cheek out of teasing him.
"I wish you could join us Hiko-chan~ I know that you will be a great singer or player when you join the club~" Cater said while poking his cousin's blushing cheeks, making Mahiko grumbled.
"I told you that I don't want to cousin. Can you imagine the amount of eyes staring at me for performing in a band? Just one mistake is enough to make their eyes stare directly at me. I couldn't deal with such." Mahiko explains his dislike on performing in front of crowds, making him shudder at the mere thought of it.
"Hehehe. No need to be embarassed Mahiko-san about your singing. We could keep it a secret from everyone else. Right Sucy?" Lotte asks the Mushroom-obsessed girl, which she just replies with a small nod and with a shrug as she is still eating her marinated mushroom dinner.
"Cater-san. I may wish to know more about your hometown if that is OK with you." Lotte asks Cater, which the diamond painted boy just gave Lotte a grin.
"Hai. Hai." Cater nods as he is about to tell his story about his hometown and what's it like until he notices his cousin staring at the window while the tall wizard is thinking deeply.
"Hiko-chan, is something bothering you?" He asks him, making the other two look at him.
"It's Akko, she is in trouble yet again." He ominously said, making Cater look at him with a raised eyebrow, however Lotte has a concerned look on her face. Sucy may look neutral but deep inside, she is just as concerned about Akko's well being as Lotte.
"How did you know Mahiko?" Sucy asks while still having her plate on her hands.
"Remember when I gave her a little badge the other day just for emergency? She pressed it and I felt her troubled energy." Mahiko replied, making the two of them even more worried, while Cater asks about the person that they are referring to.
"Who is this "Akko" person that you are talking about Hiko-chan?"
"Akko is a friend of ours Cater-san. She is a japanese brunette, just as tall as us with a very bubbly personality, though she can be impulsive, she is still a very good and fun person." Lotte describes Akko while being worried at the same time after hearing from Mahiko that she is in trouble.
"I'll go look for her, as for you cousin. I don't want the others to find out about you entering the school uninvited." Mahiko points his staff at Cater while the staff glows purple.
"Caecum Aliis" Mahiko mutters the spell to Cater. The crown of the staff shot the spell towards Cater in a beam-like manner until it stopped with the staff stopped glowing.
"This will make you invisble and mute towards others with only Sucy, Lotte and I being able to see and hear you. This is just a precautionary spell cousin, the spell will go away once I returned back to you." He said as with Cater nodding at his words and smiling at him. Mahiko was about to leave until Sucy tugs the sleeves of his white shirt.
"Do you want us to come along Mahiko? You might need some help." She asks while the tall wizard just shook his head to a no.
"No need Sucy. I got it under control, just stay with Lotte and my cousin in case that something may happen." He said as he gently places his hand on Sucy's as he slowly pushes it away from his sleeves.
"Just be careful Hiko-chan." Cater said while waving at him, with the others going along with him. Mahiko just nods and walks away, looking for Akko. The duo went back to Cater's place while still having a worried expression on their faces.
"Don't worry about Hiko-chan ladies. He is a very capable guy, he can handle it."
"How can you tell Cater-san?" Lotte asks while she plays with her thumbs, daunting about Akko's and Mahiko's well being. Sucy returns in eating her dinner while being worried as well, though not shown on her face.
"Because I have seen what he can do." He just said vaguely while the girls are still worried. To lighten up the mood, Cater continues to tell them about the things he has done, the things he can do and telling them about his hometown to distract them from worrying. Leaving out the fact the he is Mahiko's cousin, from another dimension.
--------------------------------------------------
Akko's POV
This is not what I expect from finding the fountain! Not what I expect at all! In case that some of you are confused, let's rewind for a bit a few minutes ago.
Wanting to find where the fountain is, both Andrew and I stumbled towards the nothern campus of the school, where the fountain is located thanks from the book. I lit my wand up to look around insides of the campus until I found a worn out wooden door that is nailed together by planks of wood. On the middle of the door, there is a plaque with a strange symbol that has a wolf or bear like creature on it, while the symbol is placed on top of written words. Was it French? Was it German? I have no idea since I can't read any of it. That didn't stop me of wanting to enter this room and finding the fountain to fix this mess. Walked away from the door, with a good distance between me and the door, I quickly ran towards it with intent to break in. I briefly heard from Andrew that the words are in Latin and it said something about not waking up someone called "Arcas" or something, I don't know. But the moment I heard "Polaris" and "Fountain" from Andrew's words, I knew I cam to the right place. I rammed myself onto the door until the entire door is broken.
I coughed for a bit as the dust covered the hall since this place hasn't been cleaned for maybe many years. After the dust settles, I heard heavy breathing and snarling from above me. I looked up and saw a big, VERY BIG bear, Big Polar Bear, looking at me with an angry face, along with big sharp rows of teeth gritting and baring towards me, like it wants to eat me because it thinks that I am food. I am still trying to process the information of this bear being in front of me, as a few seconds later the polar bear opened his mouth and roared at me, with drool coming out from its mouth. As disgusting as it is, before I could even do anything, Andrew pulled me from my left wrist as we start running away from the bear before it could probably eat us.
"I was not expecting that thing to be inside at all." I shouted.
"Honestly, you've got a fantastic school here!" Andrew replied sarcastically.
Now back to me, here we are running away from the polar bear as that bear alway manages to catch up to us. This chase continues upstair with the bear still following us, how fast is this damn bear?! Then suddenly clicked into my mind, I have the badge that Mahiko-san gave me as he said that he will come in case that I am in trouble. While we are running away from the bear, I looked through my pocket after oocket until I found the badge. I gripped it tight in my hands, calling his name while trying to put my magic into the badge while Andrew looks at me as if something will happen.
"Come on Mahiko-san. Please save us. Please." I shouted while calling his name, gripping the badge and trying to pour my magic onto the badge as I wait for something to happen while we are still running away from the catching up polar bear from behind us.
As we are running away from the bear, the weight of all of us running causes the floor to quickly break, we kept on running and running until the bridge can no longer support us as the crack catches up to us causing everything to crash. We are about to fall until I manage to grab onto something, I sighed out of relief that I haven't fallen yet. I looked up which causes me to sputter out of embarassement as I am holding onto the hem of Andrew Hanbridge's pants, who is holding the edge of the broken bridge with all of his strength. As my own weight starting to take effect, I am slowly being pulled down as doing so, I am also pulling down his pants to the point I am already seeing his printed underwear.
"This is not on purpose I swear! This is not on purpose!"
"I know"
"You are thinking that I am doing this on purpose! I am not!"
"I am not thinking about it."
"You liar, you definitely are thinking that I am doing this on purpose."
Before I could further protest, I saw the bear already on our side of the bridge, wanting to kill us. But when he did, his weight caused the entire ledge to break, making all of us fall down as we are about to hit the floor. Before we could even hit the floor, I was slowly losing my consciousness as I watch Shiny Rod falling out from my grasps with Andrew besides me and the angry bear chasing me down. Before I could even lose consciousness completely, I heard a spell.
"Paleis Capama!"
-----------------------------------------------
Third Person POV
"It is nice to see you again, Arcas."
Professor Ursula manages to save them on time with a floating bubble spell while she is riding her broom, the professor easily recognizes Arcas since her blue hair turned red for few moments and returned back to blue and greets her old time friend. The polar bear recognizes her as well as the bear stared at her with soft eyes rather than the hostile one from before. Back to the ground, Akko manages to regain her consciousness
"Wh-what happened?" Akko asked after she regained her consciousness and looks around. A sudden thought popped in her head as she remembered everything that happened tonight.
"Oh no, the Shiny Rod!" This got her to go into panic mode, grabbing both of her cheeks while still being frantic that she lost a very valuable and magical item that once belonged to Shiny Chariot.
"I sincerely apologize for interrupting your thoughts but could I ask you to move aside please? I'm finding it slightly difficult to breathe in this position." A strained voice got Akko's attention as she looks behind her and saw Andrew, his face planted on the grass with the girl sitting on his back, preventing him from standing up. Akko immediately stood up from sitting on top of Andrew as the boy stood up as well while lightly glaring at the girl.
They both turned their heads when they saw a glowing gate that has wood frames and has seven green glowing stars on the top that forms the Big Dipper Constellation. Both of walked until they are now standing infront of the Big Dipper Arch, with the stairs inside of the arch leading towards somewhere as the end is covered with blackness and stars blinking around, shining the way.
Akko entered the arch first with Andrew following her after his failed attempt in stopping her. They both walked towards the stairs up until at the end, they are able to see the fountain that Akko is looking for, The Fountain of Polaris. The excitement rushed onto Akko's face as she ran midway of the stairs with Andrew following her pursuit. Akko manages to stand in front of the fountain first which then Andrew followed her. Akko stares at the floating magical ball of water that is levitating above the bowl of the fountain, the water reflecting Akko's visage as the girl stares at the water in awe.
"The Fountain of Polaris........ I beg of you, bestow unto me the great magic power of the stars..... Please." Akko whispered, closes both of her eyes while putting both of her hands together, praying that the fountain will hear her words. After a few seconds of waiting, she opened her right eye to see if something happens until she opens both of them and looked at the fountain. What she found surprised her as she didn't her own reflection on the water, but someone else. This girl is just as young as her with short red hair and red eyes, wearing a Luna Nova uniform and also praying at the fountain. Akko recognizes the girl all too well, it was none other than a younger Shiny Chariot, who is still learning back at Luna Nova Magical Academy.
The fountain showed Akko about Shiny Chariot's past life as a student. Much like her, Shiny Chariot also once sought the power of the stars. The Fountain has yet to recognize Young Chariot as worthy as it disappeared before her eyes, frustrated at her shortcoming in magic and wanting to prove her worth towards the fountain, she didn't give up as she studied hard and seriously, doing everything she can to be proven worthy in the eyes of the fountain. The fountain showed Akko everything Young Chariot did to prove her worth, even showing her some of the girl's mistake during her school years like causing road rages because she helped an elderly woman pass on the other street, growing mushrooms out of the cauldron from Professor Lukić's class. As well as showing Young Chariot's achievements like winning the annual Broom Relay until the fountain showed Akko about Young Chariot creating fireworks with the Shiny Rod.
Akko then saw Young Chariot back to the fountain with Shiny Rod in her hands, with a determined looked at the young girl's face, Young Chariot lifts the rod up above her head and the seven gems of the rod starts shining brightly. The stars responds to the rod as magic flows towards the gem, magic coats around Young Chariot until forming into a pure white robe around her body with emerald green wings appeared behind her. Akko stared at awe of what she is seeing, the things that Young Chariot can do. This further proven as magic coated Young Chariot more until in a blinding flash of light, Young Chariot transform herself into a giant flaming bird that shines in cerulean blue.
The magic continues to flow as Akko stares in awe until she and Andrew find themselves outside of the arch with the said arch no longer showing the fountain, it is now just a tree arch. Akko looked around, in search of the fountain until a voice interrupted her as both her and Andrew looked at where the voice came from.
"The Fountain of Polaris bestows the great magic power of the stars unto the witch with hidden radiance. However, when visited by an immature witch, yet unworthy to wield its powers, it vanishes from before her eyes." Professor Ursula recites while walking towards the two.
"It seems that your visit was still a bit premature." Professor Ursula smiled sadly at the girl. Akko looked down, feeling dejected that she didn't got what she wished for.
"Yes. I had my hopes up. I thought that if I could find the Fountain of Polaris, I would be acknowledged as a witch with hidden radiance. But it's not something anyone could acknowledge you for. It's something you have to work hard for yourself, isn't it." Akko said while still looking at the ground, feeling dejected after the she experienced from the Fountain of Polaris.
"That's right. Deep down inside, you understood that from the start." Professor Ursula said to her, reassuring her that she agrees to what Akko said.
"I want to be like her.... One day, I want to be like Chariot!" Akko said with tears running down her face, with a resolve to become just like her idol. Professor Ursula kindly smiled at her as she showed Akko the Shiny Rod in her hands, which made Akko surprised that the rod is still here.
"Come back here in the future. At a time when you've grown far beyond where you are today." Professor Ursula gave Akko back the rod, which Akko wipes the tears away with her sleeves. Adamant to do whatever it takes to be like Shiny Chariot.
"I guess I am too late with the action yet again." A voice said from behind Akko and Professor Ursula as they both turned around and saw Mahiko approaching them with his staff on his right hand.
"Mahiko-san!" Akko said with a smile on her face as she rushed towards him and starts banging her hands on his chest, though it doesn't have an affect on the wizard from his punches.
"You said that you would help me if I were to press the badge you gave me earlier! You just happen to come here when everything is already done!" Akko shouted at him while trying his best to hurt thw wizard, only for the wizard to chuckle awkwardly while scratching the back of his head while allowing the Japanese brunette to unleash her anger out on him.
"I may have forgot that pressing your badge, calling my name and pouring magic into it may have some flaws, like not knowing EXACTLY where you are." Mahiko awkwardly chuckles while Akko kept on shouting things to him. Andrew Hanbridge finally got a good look of the said "Only male student of Luna Nova" up close and personal.
"Are you the one whom Diana refer to as "Mahiko Reinkarnasyon"?" Andrew asks, gaining the tall wizard's attention as he grabs Akko's head and gently places her on the side and walked towards Andrew. They are now standing a feet apart, ther height difference huge, but not as huge compared to most of students of the school.
"I am. Please to meet you Sir Hanbridge." Mahiko formally greets Andrew, giving the him a small nod of acknowledgement, which Andrew waves off some parts of his greetings.
"So you already know of me. No need to put a "Sir" on greeting me Reinkarnasyon, that is reserved on my father. You may call me "Andrew" if you wish."
"Then that could apply to me as well, you may wish to refer to me as "Mahiko" if you insist." Mahiko replied to Andrew formally with Andrew replied back to the tall wizard a smile on his face.
"It is a pleasure to finally meet you in person. I might say, Diana does have a pretty good description of you when she is showing me and my friend Frank around your school's campus."
"Did she now?" Mahiko asks him, still embarrassed that someone would describe him while scratching the back of his head as Andrew just nods in response to his question.
"Um.... Sorry to interrupt your greetings, but allow me to remove the spell that has been cast on you. And if you would be so kind, please keep this in your confidence." Professor Ursula apologizes to him while grabbing Akko's head that has a shocked expression and making the girl bow alongside her who is having a nervous smile on her face.
"Very well, I will keep whatever happened tonight a secret between us." Andrew promised, making the professor and Akko sigh out of relief. Mahiko raises his staff and gently pats Andrew's head with the crown of the staff.
"Metamorphie Normalis" Mahiko mutters the reverse spell of the metamorphis magic, turning Andrew back to normal, ridding of the donkey ears and tail.
"Thank you for casting the spell Mahiko. Let us return to the auditorium before the headmistress and your father may worry too much of your abscence." Professor Ursula said as she motions them all to follow her back to the auditorium which they did what Professor Ursula said.
Mahiko however, halts for a second and looked back at the arch and stared at it. He narrows his eyes while staring at the arch while gripping his black staff tightly on his right hand. A few seconds afterwards, glitches start to form on the left side of the arch until it has morphed into a figure that closely resembles him but having no face and just the body only. Flakes floats around the glitching figure and some flakes are peeling off from it as it continues to stare at Mahiko with a faceless head.
(A/N: Glitching Remains from LN2 but the figure looks like Mahiko but faceless.)
"Why must you continue to haunt me?" Mahiko asks the figure with a neutral voice, still glaring at the figure but it gave no response at it stares at him blankly, unmoving from its spot next to the arch, twitching like it is going through a spasm while flakes continue to fly off from it.
"Mahiko! Are you coming?!" Akko shouted from afar gaining Mahiko's attention for abit. He turns his head back at the glitching figure before the figure fades out of existence. Mahiko turns his attention back to Akko and the others as he followed them back to the school.
-----------------------------------------------
Andrew's POV
What a hectic night it is as I stare at the car window while I am sitting at the back seat next to my father, watching the school leave my sight until we exited the leyline, making the background back to the dark, starry night.
"Good grief, today was a waste of a day. It only served to confirm my convictions that witches have no purpose in this era." My father said with a disgruntled look on his face, already irritated by the visit.
"Then why did you put on such a performance for those magic traditionalists?" I asks him, wanting to more why he keeps on visiting them, even in the past.
"It is important to place your enemies in your debt. You'll learn that soon enough." My father replied, making me think for a bit about his answer. I might probably agree with him today, but for the future, I may wait for his words to become practical.
I returned in staring at the car's window, staring blankly at the starry night with one constellation resembling the Big Dipper like the one from the wooden arch that Miss Kagari and I entered not too long ago just out on the horizon. Safe to assume, I have an exhausting yet unique night, along with meeting one of the professors and personally meeting Luna Nova's only wizard student.
'Maybe inviting him in the future wouldn't be so bad.' Andrew thought to himself while his entire companion left the school and will be going to have another normal day.

Mahiko's POV
"You got everything you need Cater?" I asked my cousin, worried that he might left something behind the auditorium.
"Hai. I didn't bring much with me to visit you here in Luna Nova Hiko-chan."
"Are you sure that you didn't left anything behind? Like a gemstone, madols and such?"
"Hiko-chan you need to relax. I am sure of everything that I am carrying before coming here. There are all on me now, see?" Cater said as he opens his coat, vests and every pockets that he has as he showed all the things he had to me.
"I am just worried that my professor would suspect something about the event. Asking on why there are things in the school that don't belong." I gave a sigh while my cousin just chuckles at me while fixes himself.
"Are you sure you don't want to visit NRC Hiko-chan? You may like there when you get to know more of it." My cousin said while we both stood in front of a black carraige with black horses that has smoke coming out from their manes. The carraige itself came from a large mirror that appeared itself many meters away from the school for secrecy.
"Someday cousin. For now, I am still busy with all of school works that I have to deal with." I reasoned out to my cousin as Cater just sighed while also giving a tired sigh as well.
"Hai. Hai. Trey-kun and Dorm Leader will definitely berate me on coming back very late, and I still have to follow some rules of our dorm. How exhausting, so exhausting that I have little to none for my "Me" time." Cater said while playing with one strand of his hair in between his right pointer finger and thumb.
"Just finish your work early and stop looking at your "Magicam" every minute. Then maybe you will have more time for yourself." I suggested to Cater, which looked at me with a horrified look.
"Stop looking at my Magicam every day?! Magicam is the reason why I am always updated on the latest trend! And you want me to stop looking at it! You meanie!" He shouted while exaggerately points at me with a horrified look on his face. I rolled my eyes behind my glasses/shades from my cousin being overdramatic.
"I am not saying "Permanently". I am saying stop looking at your phone every minute, not forever. You just need to finish your work early, just so you can have your "Me" time and maybe have time for your fellow classmates." I explained to him, with Cater just chuckling while patting my shoulders.
"I know, I know. I am just messing with ya." Cater joked as he turns to the carraige and enters in. He looks at me while smiling and waving.
"See you soon Hiko-chan~"
"See you soon Cater." I waved back at my cousin as the door of the black carraige closes and locking it completely.
The magical horses neighed as they start galloping back to the dark mirror to where they all came. After the entire carraige entered the mirror, the said mirror begins to swirl and shrinks until there is nothing left, only leaving a breeze that blows some grasses away from the ground. I gave a tired sigh as I tapped my staff to show what time it is. Seeing that it is almost midnight, I gave a one long yawn and stretch my back for a bit. After that, I turn around, facing the school tower and went back to my dorm. Preparing myself for the tomorrow's class and training.
