Previously

After the swarm of Pappiliodya flew far away from the academy, Akko, Lotte and Sucy finally landed on the ground safely. Akko and Lotte finally got off of the broom with Sucy doing the same. The trio walked towards the academy with Akko skipping and has a smile plastered on her face.

"That was a fun day!" Akko gleefully said as she held Shiny Rod in her hands as she skips towards their dorm.

"It was Akko. But you should have not block Murowa like that. I could have hurt you more Akko." Lotte replied with a worried look back to Akko as she followed her.

"I can manage Lotte, but after what we just did, the tree is now cured and I am close to becoming one of the greatest witch in history like Shiny Chariot." Akko continued to say every word with such a happy expression plastered on her face.

"Hehehe. I guess so Akko." Lotte just gave in to her friend's enthusiastic behavior, but she doesn't mind as she just smiled at her silly antics.

While the two were conversing, Sucy halted for a minute, stared back and looked at the setting sun over the horizon with a broom in her hand. Her actions caused the two to stop their tracks, noticing her other friend not following them towards their dorm.

"Sucy! What are you looking at?!" Akko shouted at the girl, but Sucy did not respond and continues to gaze at the sun.

"Sucy. Is there something wrong?" Lotte asked her, at first she didn't reply at Lotte's question, Sucy looked at the sun for a bit until she answered her.

"Just looking at the sun set that's all." Sucy replied with an apathetic voice.

"Are you sure Sucy?" Lotte asked her.

"That is what I said right?" Sucy just replied with the same tone as she always do.

"Are you sure that is about it Sucy? Because that is what our new male student was doing before we are waving at him when we are flying on our brooms." Akko asked back to Sucy, wanting to interrogate her friend further. Until an idea popped in her mind and giggled teasingly.

"Or is it because you want to copy what that boy is doing? Huh?~" Akko teases Sucy, but only got a brush wacked on her face by Sucy.

Akko hold her red face in pain, as Lotte came over and tried to comfort the girl. Sucy not paying attention to the two as she continues to watch the sunset.

Coincidentally, both Sucy and Mahiko are looking at the setting sun on different places, Mahiko still being in the garden while Sucy is with her friends at the Luna Nova front grounds.

"I can see a new hope coming in for a new tomorrow." Both Sucy and Mahiko said with a small smile plastered on their faces as they continue to watch the sun set over the horizon.

Third Person POV

About 6:00 AM in the morning, after the Pappiliodya event yesterday, the class went by as it always is, for now a certain blunette professor is walking down to the dungeons of the tower. Professor Ursula was walking towards Mahiko's dorm with a navy blue cloth that is neatly folded on one of her arms while holding a broom on the other hand while the brush is leaning above her shoulder that has a that traditional academy headdress.

Professor Ursula didn't get a chance to talk to Mahiko yesterday because she wanted to get know Akko more since the new student is currently possessing something that was once hers, The Shiny Rod. The rod that she once used as Chariot du Nord AKA Shiny Chariot.

She casually stroll nearer towards the door of Mahiko's dorm, she can hear a faint song coming from it. Now she stands in front of his dorm door, with a sigh, she first knocked on his door. A few seconds she didn't get an answer therefore she knocked at the door again, yet she recieved the same answer.

"Mahiko-san. It is me, Professor Ursula Callistis. Just bringing to you the Robes and other necessary equipments for your Broom Flying subject." She said as she kept on knocking on Mahiko's door while holding his new items on her other hand, only for her to recieve no response from the resident of the dorm room.

Wanting to found out what is happening inside of the room, she slowly opens the door and peeks her head through the opened door and saw Mahiko with his back facing her and still wearing his pajamas, sitting or probably saying, levitating slightly above the floor in the middle of his room in a lotus position while his C-shape crowned staff floats around him while an antique turntable that is set on his coffee table plays a very dark tune, forming an ominous aura around the dorm.

"I just hope he didn't learn the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise." She nervously joked about it and continues to watch Mahiko's meditation without interrupting him. With that, she slowly allows herself to enter the room and slowly closes the door behind her.

While Ursula was staring at his meditative form, she felt her nose was being touched by a faint hand-like appendage, in which got her attention and looked at the one who was touching her, it was just Mahiko's favorite plant Witch Hazel, floating on a pink cloud on the side of her head while her two of the plant's hair tendrils are covered with pink magical dust. She smiled at the magical plant and pats her head which the plant just leaned into her touch.

"Nice seeing you again Witch Hazel. Would you mind talking to Mahiko for me? I don't want to interrupt his meditation." Professor Ursula kindly asked the magic using plant.

Witch Hazel formed a smile on her face and nods at her requests as she floats towards Mahiko's still meditating form. As she is now in front of him, she did the same thing to Professor Ursula which it worked as it grabbed the meditating student attention. He lightly pat the plant's head, after petting the plant's head he raised his hand towards the turn table which the device turned off. He uncrossed his legs and stood up from his lotus position, stretch a bit until he felt his joints popped, with a satisfactory sigh, he relaxes a bit and grabbed his staff and took Witch Hazel by the roots and placed her on his head.

"Mahiko?" Professor Ursula asked the tall student while still holding a folded blue cloth on one of her arms while the other arm placed the broom on the door frame.

This caught Mahiko's attention, he turned around and saw Professor Ursula staring up at him. She saw what Mahiko's bare face, without the glasses and the mask hiding the scar and his heterochromic eyes, she just smiled at him.

"Hello Lady Callistis. Sorry that I didn't hear you knocking on the door. My mind was still meditating with me." He said to her while gaining a small blush on his face out of embarassement.

"No worries Mahiko-san, I only arrive for a few minutes so I didn't wait that long. So, how's your day going Mahiko?" She asked as she placed the folded cloth and the hat on Mahiko's bed.

"It's the first thing in the morning Lady Callistis, I haven't done anything yet rather than meditating." He casually replied as he leaned into his staff.

"Hehehe. I guess that is." Professor Ursula just chuckled awkwardly at the obvious question she asked Mahiko.

"Oh I am just messing with you Professor. I'm just doing fine as always, meditating to keep my mind calm." He replied which eases the professor's awkward chuckles.

"How about you Lady Callistis? How is your day going so far?" He asked her the same question.

"Well you can say I was just trying to teach the students in anyway I can. These new students are the new generation of witches after all." She replied back to his question which he nodded at her answer.

"How's that girl doing? You know, the one who is now in possession of Shiny Rod?" He asked her a question that has already been in his mind that moment he saw the scepter from Akko's hands. This question got her to form a frown on her face.

"She's doing great Mahiko. She's enthusiastic as ever, wanting be a great and powerful witch like her idol. Because of that, she kinda reminds me of someone before." She described Akko's actions and personality so far during her interaction with the current weilder of the rod during their class session.

"Ahhh. Lady du Nord. She's is the one she idolize so much, atleast that is what I have heard from other people."

"You heard it correctly Mahiko."

"I mean, there are many children, whether born in a family of magic users or not, aspire to become someone like Chariot du Nord. After her performance in magic, this made many of them to dream in becoming a great witch like Chariot."

"I gues so Mahiko."

After a few seconds of silence between the two. Mahiko knew his Professor is uncomfortable with the subject of conversation they are having and decides to change it by looking at the folded blue cloth and hat that is on his bed.

"Are those my new training garments that you are about to give me Professor?"

"Oh. Right. I've made it just as you requested." She was caught by his attention, she stood up from his bed, grabbed the folded robe on his bed and gave it to him which he took it with one hand.

"Thank you Professor Ursula." He unfolds the robe and examined it from front to back.

"Try the hat if it fits Mahiko." She requested as he grabbed the hat and placed it neatly on his head. He shaked his head a few times, testing if the hat fits his head perfectly which it did its job perfectly. He just smiled at her, meaning he liked the hat.

"Well if that is all, I should be going now Mahiko. I have to give this to Akko for her broom lesson." She said as she grabbed the broom from the door frame.

"Akko?" He asks her while still having the hat on his head.

"Miss Kagari."

"Oh."

"I forgot, you have the same time schedule as her right?" She asked Mahiko before leaving his dorm with Akko's broom on her hand.

"Yes Professor Ursula."

"Then would you mind helping Miss Kagari on her broom flying lesson Mahiko? I mean, I taught you the basics of flying a broom until you mastered it without the use of a broom and instead used your staff."

"Will there be a problem with Professor Nelson about the Broom Flying class?" Mahiko asked.

"I guess it is about the flying, she is usually strict about students who are flying freestyle without her approval. Another is that since you wield a staff and not a broom, she might comment about as well and might probably force you into buying one. Other than that, that's all there is about the Broom Flying Class." Professor Ursula briefly explained it to Mahiko which he just nodded at her, while placing his robe and hat on a hanger and hanged it on his cabinet top.

"I guess that is all there is. Very well, I will try my best on helping Lady Kagari on her broom flying." Mahiko said which made the professor smile at his reply.

"I appreciate on your support for helping Akko with her training." She said as she was about to leave his dorm.

"It will be done as you said Lady du Nord." He replied with a name that slipped out of his mouth. The name that made the blunette professor to sigh.

"I told you not to address in that name Mahiko." She retorted at Mahiko's name calling, which he immediately apologizes.

"Until I am ready to tell Akko about Shiny Chariot and the Shiny Rod, you will not call me by that name."

"But we are in a private area Professor, I am the only student here in this academy who knows of your true identity." He replied back which the blunette just sighed yet again.

"Just don't tell anyone until I am ready to tell Akko and the 7 words. Are we clear Mahiko?"

"Of course. Professor Ursula." He switched her name which got the professor to smile and left the room.

The wizard then looked back at the robe Professor Ursula made for him and looked up to Witch Hazel that is still on top of his head. He grabbed her by the base and place her on his bed.

"Time to prepare for Broom Flying class Witch Hazel." He said as he walked towards his bathroom with his hand holding the door knob, yet he halts and turns his head facing the magical plant.

"As for you to know my dear Witch Hazel, I do know the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise." He joked to his plant, which made her cover her mouth to hide the giggle.

After the small joke, he opened the door of his bathroom, cleans and prepares himself for his today's classes.

------------- Time Skip ------------

Still Third Person POV

After tending his plant in the botanical garden, which took him an hour to actually put the plants in a state of happiness, but he just smiled at their happy faces knowing that their happiness matters to me. In doing so, it is Mahiko's first time actually being late on a class. He always take his mentor's advice on "A wizard is never late, nor he is early. He arrives precisely when he means to." But today, he can't put that advice into action now since he is really late for his Broom Flying Class.

He now dons the new robe that Professor Ursula sewed for him as well as the hat. While walking towards the academy grounds, he heard a distinct female shout across the distance, he was able to piece in on what the girl is shouting until in an appropriate distant he is now able to make out the words.

"TIA FREYRE! TIA FREYRE! TIA FREYRE! TIA FREYREEEE!!!!" A girl kept shouting the same magic incantations.

Mahiko standing on the grounds of his Broom Flying Class, he saw his professor flying on her broom as well as the muave haired girl that is also flying on her broom. Both of them are just levitating a few feet above ground surface, surrounding the brunette girl who is panting a series of heavy breaths and tiredly holding her broom. After hearing what she shouted a few seconds ago, he could guess that the brunette has yet to successfully fly on a broom.

"Wow. You could win in a shouting contest Akko." The muave haired girl commented unimpressively at the brunette girl, who is now revealed as Akko.

This got Mahiko to first think about her current situation and tries to come up with an advice to help Akko on her flying, just like what Professor Ursula told him. While doing so, he strolls forwards until he is in a distance that makes the three of them look at the tall wizard. The brunette and the muave haired girl stared at the face-covered wizard with a quizzical look while the professor just looked at wizard with an annoyed face, until she spoke.

"You're late."

"My apologies Professor Nelson, my plants tend to be time consumers when it comes to me." Mahiko explained to her yet she still holds that annoyed face.

"You already explain that part when we first met at the Headmistress office. But still, I do not tolerate such tardiness on my students. You got that?" She asked the wizard and in return he replied with a small nod.

The professor boots touched the ground and now stands in front of the wizard which she needs to look up to see his face. She then looked at his staff on his hand and looked back at the student.

"Where's your broom?"

"Oh that part. Well you see, before I enrolled here, I have been practicing on my broom flying skills with my broom back in my home with the guidance of an old student of this school." Mahiko tries to explain.

"That doesn't answer about the broom Mr. Reinkarnasyon." She retorted back at the wizard.

"I was getting to that part professor. So I practice and practice until I learned to fly with my staff instead. This staff has been my substitute for a broom ever since I mastered it. Please professor, let my staff be my broom throughout the school years, you wouldn't leave an old man like me without his walking stick." Mahiko begs which made the professor looked at him weirdly, Mahiko hoping that she could buy his reason of coming without a broom until she just sighed and scratch the back of her head.

"Fine Mr. Reinkarnasyon, I'll let you use your staff, and don't pull out that "Old man" card here mister, you ain't old." She said which made Mahiko grateful for his professor.

"Now, you said it that you mastered it, correct?"

"Yes professor."

"Now show me what you got." Professor Nelson commands the wizard which he just nods and readies himself.

Mahiko grabbed his staff with both hands and stradled it in between his legs. He held it firmly and begins to say the incantation "Tia Freyre". The staff glowed in a purple hue and starts to float until the wizard is now a few feet above ground. The professor was impressed by this performance.

"You are now OK Mr. Reinkarnasyon with the basics of it. You can now practice with the other students up there." Professor Nelson shouted and pointing up where the other student are. The wizard nods at his professor and flew towards the other students.

While doing so, he sense someone approaching behind him in great speed which made Mahiko to maneuver himself away from the speed flying witch.

"Excuse Me!!!" The witch shouted with glee as she continues to fly within great speed while doing flips and other stances.

The wizard that manage to dodge the flying witch just stare at the freestyle flying girl with an impress look, even if no one can see through his disguise.

"Amanda O'Neill! No acrobactics during my class of broom flying! Get that through your thick skull already!" Professor Nelson scolded the freestyle, broom flying student, in return she just replied with an annoyed and bored look.

"Way to ruin my fun." Amanda said as she just laid her back on her broom while still levitating high above ground.

After the little interaction between student and professor, Mahiko just leisurely resumes to fly in a moderate pace before getting bored by the position and decides to stand on top of his staff while he resumes on flying. During his standing position in flying, Mahiko heard Akko's voice shout again from the ground floor, however her tone of voice is that of frustration this time. Mahiko looks down and turns his focus on the girl and saw her on a broom but thus time, her broom has that kiddie trike parts on it.

He then turn his attention on the two witches thay caused this mess, Hannah England and Barbara Parker, the names of the two witches that always follow Diana wherever she goes and has that bully complex on embedded on the two of them. Just for his amusement and probably for the others, he remove his hat that reveals Witch Hazel sitting on top of his head all this time.

"How about a little fun my little witch?" Mahiko cooed at the plant and that plant nodded.

With her two tendrils ready, she shot pink lightnings out of it towards the two witches' broom. While Hannah and Barbara were laughing at Akko's dismay, they felt the abscence of their brooms on their hands as they start to fall to the ground, landing on their butts. The two winced at the pain and look behind them and saw instead of their two brooms, they saw gaint mushrooms embedded on the ground. They both looked around, confused and trying to find where their brooms are. Mahiko quickly place his hat back on, hiding Witch Hazel from being caught by the two, while he chuckles silently as he watch the two girls looking for their brooms.

By the time that Broom Flying Class ended, Mahiko slowly floats down until he was able to touch the ground. He then turn his attention back at Hannah and Barbara still having that annoyed and confused faces, having enough of his own tomfoolery, he took off his hat yet again and let's Witch Hazel turn the two mushrooms back into brooms, placed it back on his head again and silently walked away from the other students, heading towards his next magic subject.

The Trio's POV

After Akko received a beginner's textbook entitled "My First Broom Ride" which is about the very basics of broom flying with the help of her mentor Professor Ursula, she followed every step of what the elementary textbook instructed her to do. She first red a chapter that is about using the broom as daily tool for cleaning in maintaining the communication between weilder and the broom, which she did exactly what the book said and tried to fly again.

"Tia Freyre" Which results with nothing.

Akko then tried to threaten the broom about snapping in two which she showed a demo about it with a simple stick.

"Tia Freyre" Again nothing happened.

Being desperate, Akko kneeled in front of the broom and begs the broom on letting her fly on it in an exaggerated manner.

"Tia Freyre" Nothing.

Akko's two friends: Sucy who is mockingly commenting about Akko's skills on flying.

"I have hunch before, but after this Akko truly is a moron."

While on the other hand Lotte who is giving the girl advice on broom flying while awkwardly chuckles at the brunette's attempt on broom flying. The brunette then said about the Annual Broom Relay and has already listed all three of them on the participation paper without their consent, this got them into a little disagreement until Akko mentions about a prize personally made the professor of Fundamentals of Magic Pharmaceutics, this got Sucy motivated on wanting to have that prize for her own personal use.

"Just practice more Akko, you'll probably get better from doing it over and over again." Lotte tried to encourage the brunette which the girl just sighed and slumped down on the grass while lazily holding her broom.

"But that is about it Lotte. I've tried everything on what the boom said: Use the broom for cleaning, clean it every once in a while, treat it as if it is your own, heck I even threatened and begged to the broom but it still the same. I can't fly on it, I just don't know what else to do." Akko whined about her broom flying problems to Lotte that is awkwardly calming her down while Sucy just stood there looking the brunette with the same motivated look, thinking on how to make Akko learn to fly.

"Perhaps that is the problem." Two of the three girls, mainly Lotte and Akko lightly flinched in surprise by the voice that made them looked at the source of it until their eyes landed on the tall male student of Luna Nova Academy.

"You lack imagination Lady Kagari. When it comes to producing results." The wizard walked towards the trio with his staff on his right hand and his left hand tucked inside his pants pocket until he is at a desirable distance between him and the three girls.

"You're the guy from the podium when it is the first of the Orientation, and the guy from the garden." Akko commented first by the sudden appearance of the tall wizard.

"I am Lady Kagari. For the introduction my name is Mahiko Reinkarnasyon, but please refer me as Mahiko if you are OK with it." Mahiko briefly introduced himself to the trio in front of him.

"Nice to meet you Mahiko. Since you already know my name, these two friends of mine are Lotte Jansson and Sucy Manbavaran, Lotte is the ginger haired girl while Sucy has that sadistic look on her face." Akko briefly introduce Mahiko to her two room mates.

"Pleasure to meet you three."

"Umm.... A pleasure to meet you as well but is it OK if I ask a question Mahiko?" Lotte asked the tall wizard which he motions her to continue her question for him.

"About what you said to Akko before. What do you mean by "Lack of Imagination"?" Lotte questioned the tall wizard in return he replied with an answer.

"Focus and Concentration are just two basic necessities when it comes to performing magic, but it is imagination that is catalyst on making the performance extravagant. Taken to account on how performing Metamorphosis Magic, it is with imagination, you can picture on what you want to become or what your target wants to become, with focus and concentration, it will help that imagination become real. And that also goes for broom flying, it is just the same method, imagine of flying and with both focus and concentration, you might be able to fly."

The trio contemplated on the answer of the tall wizard, while the other two understood his answer, Akko on the other hand just just scratched her head with still confusion evident on her face.

"So in other words, I just need to imagine myself flying and that is about it?" Akko asked the tall wizard.

"Imagination along with Focus and Concentration can help you fly on your broom. You just need to be creative when imagining yourself on flying." Mahiko replied back which got different reaction from the three girls.

Akko still seem perplexed about his answer, Lotte along with Sucy understood his answer, yet Sucy's face turn sadistic when she understoof about the "creative" part of Mahiko's answer.

"Being creative huh? That just gave me a few ideas on how to help Akko." Sucy smiled, showing her rows of sharp teeth towards her roommates and the wizard.

'I have a bad feeling about this.' Mahiko thought to himself as he looked at the perplexed looking Akko, feeling sorry already at the girl.

"You must have confused the word "Flying" from "Dying" Lady Manbavaran." Mahiko said as he looks concerned along side Lotte at Akko being tied up on a bungee rope with her broom.

"What's the difference?" Sucy shrugs her shoulders while keeping a small smile plastered on her face as the three of them slowly walk towards the tied up Brunette girl.

Their first attempt is tying Akko up on a bungee rope with her broom on top of the Luna Nova Tower. The two witches and a wizard stood behind the tied up Akko with her broom while the girl keeps shouting towards Sucy about trying to kill her.

"You seem like a type of girl that learns through actually doing it." Sucy remarked as she tips the girl's nose, pushing her out of balcony, she screams as she is falling down and spring back up again, thanks to the bungee rope.

"Imagine of floating up and down Lady Kagari!!!" The wizard shouted at the screaming, bungee jumping girl, but to no avail as Akko continues to scream while bouncing up and down from the bungee rope.

On their second attempt is placing the girl with her broom tied to her inside of a cannon and launching her upwards in the air. Sucy lit up the cannon's vent with her wand, and that made the cannon shoot the girl upwards as she screams in terror.

"NOW IMAGINE FLYING!!!" The wizard shouted at the girl, but only ended up as the same, and the crash landed on the other side of a construction site.

Their third attempt is making the girl's broom tied to Sucy's broom whom is flying in the air. This attempt is to make the girl fly at high speed by dragging her upwards via tied broom on both hers and Sucy's.

"Now this time imagine taking off, like how a plane takes off from a runway!" The wizard yet again shouted his advice to girl.

But instead, what he got was the girl spinning widly on her broom, hitting the ground everytime she tries to take off.

"ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME??!!!" Akko shouted in anger because Sucy's attempt of helping her fly a broom is actually torture. She has a few band aids plastered on her face and some on her legs.

"Give it a try now Akko." Sucy threw a broom onto Akko's hands.

"From all those practice, you must have some progress Akko. You can do it." Lotte encourages the brunette girl on trying to fly her broom.

"Just imagine girl on flying. Flying Akko. Flying. Not dying." Mahiko said as he quote-unquote the word "Flying".

"I don't know about this guys, but alright! Let's do this!" Akko with a determined look, she straddled her broom. She took a deep breathe first, until letting it all out, doing what Mahiko instructed her to do and imagine of flying. Focus, Concentrate and.

"Tia Freyre!" She incanted the flying spell with confidence.

An awkward silence came in.

Still Nothing.

"I know I am bad at this on my first try on broom riding. But personally, I was never this bad." Mahiko monotonously remarked at the show that is happening right in front of them.

Out of frustration, Akko lifted her broom and threw to the ground, only for the broom to bounce and smack the frustrated girl on the face, making her face plant to the floor while the broom stood upright until it fell to the ground. The three audience just watch on how her practice unfold and revealed that they'll go back to square one, Sucy, Lotte and Mahiko sighed because their attempts were all for naught. Sucy wanting to have the prize made personally by Professor Lukić, she said.

"I guess we have to try a different methods."

"On helping Akko on flying?" Lotte asked only for Sucy to reply that.

"No. In winning that Annual Broom Relay."

"By other methods, you mean?" Mahiko was about to continue his question but it was cut off by Sucy's sudden reply.

"Yes. That method Mahiko."

"Ok then....." Mahiko awkwardly said.

"What? Do you want to report it to the other professors?" Sucy glared up at the tall wizard and pointing her wand to his chest which the wizard raised both of his hands in a surrender sign.

"I'm not participating in this relay Lady Manbavaran, since it requires for the participants to be in a group of three. Since I am not a participant in this relay, I have a choice to both to either tell the professors about it or not, and I chose in not telling the professors about your plans on the relay."

"You better keep that word of yours to use Mahiko, unless you want to be my next guinea pig after Akko." Sucy warned the tall wizard.

"Who you're calling guinea pig Sucy?!" Akko shouted after her face plant position.

"I promised Sucy. I won't tell anyone." Mahiko replied back at Sucy's warnings, which in turn got Sucy to lighten her glare but still glared at him and lowers her wand.

"Come on guys, we have to get ready for the broom relay." Lotte awkwardly said as she grabbed both Sucy and Akko's attention.

"Thank you for helping us out Mahiko. Even if it didn't workout well in the end." Lotte expressed her gratitude to Mahiko's support.

"Don't mention it Lady Jansson, I always help those who are in need of support." Mahiko said as he welcomed Lotte's gratitude.

"Well we'll be better keep going. Thanks for the help Mahiko!" Akko shouted her thanks as she is about to leave with her broom along with her room mates.

"Until next time ladies!!!" Mahiko waved them goodbye as they did the same and walked away on different paths.

Third Person POV

The Annual Broom Relay begins today. All participants were preparing themselves for the competition to begin. Mahiko was one of the audience who is watching the broom relay unfold, he watch as there are many participants that are in a group of three. The reporter, Wangari, with her happy-go-lucky attitude plus her loud mouth, interviewed each and everyone of the participating except for a certain team, and that team is Akko's team.

After the interview, the Headmistress gave her speech in front of the participating members of the annual broom relay, when the speech is done, all the participants went towards their respective position for the broom relay. When they are in position, Professor Nelson, the host and the proctor gave off the rules on the broom relay, afterwards, she pulled out a gun and pointed it up to the sky.

"Ready."

"Steady."

"Go!" She pulled the trigger and the gun fired a small magic firework spirit and off they go.

"TIA FREYRE!!!" The participants incanted as they try to take off from the starting position.

Lotte manage to get off first while the others are stuck, with the brushes of their brooms rooted to the board thanks to Sucy's nutrients potion. Although it affected the other students, it didn't affect Constanze's broom since she modified hers of using gas instead of magic. Constanze manages to get to the second station faster than Lotte, and she passed her baton to Jasminka and she took off with a bag of chips on her arms. Sucy grumbled at what happened but she still have some tricks up her sleeves.

"Sucy!" Lotte shouted, getting Sucy's attention.

She saw Lotte coming in her way and passed the baton to Sucy and she lifts off. While Jasminka was in the lead, her attention turns to a trail of donuts dangling on the tree, which she ate them without hesitation, trailing her away from the race.

"Hehehehe. Eat with your heart's content." Sucy said giddily as she continues to fly towards her third station.

In the audience, thanks to Wangari describing everything that is happening in the relay, the witch students were talking amongst themselves on who is going to win, Mahiko on the other hand just shooked his head yet has a small smile covered by his mask at the attempts of Sucy's victory on the broom relay.

Back to the relay, on the third outpost consists of Akko, Amanda, Diana and the other remaining members of the group of three, waiting for the others to pass on their batons to them.

"Akko! You're Next!" Sucy shouted, gaining Akko's attention and the others.

Once the button is on Akko's wrist, she pulled out a vial of mixture from her pocket and poured the said mixture onto her broom. The brush of her broom turn into a single frog-like appendage, Akko hopped onto her broom and jumped down from the tower and hopped away from her outpost.

"What kind of odd broom riding is this?" Diana raised her eyebrows as she looked at the hopping girl.

"It doesn't matter as long as I am the winner." Akko giddily replied back at the girl who is still on the balcony.

Back to the audience, Mahiko just shooked his head at Sucy's method but what can he say, he just listened to Wangari's description of the relay and on how the relay unfolds. He listened on every detail that is coming out of the megaphone. He also listened to something that surprised him the most, The Legendary Broom, Shooting Star, is in the hands of Akko. He felt a strong wind burst from behind and saw Akko being dragged by the broom. He stabbed his staff to the ground and followed where Akko js flying and shouted.

"IMAGINE AKKO!!! IT IS ABOUT IMAGINATION!!! FOCUS!!! AND CONCENTRATION!!!" Mahiko shouted at the high-speed flying girl, but to no avail as he passed him by a mere inch.

"AAAHHHHH!!!!" Akko could only scream as the Legendary Shooting Star kept flying past everyone in high speed that a sonic boom happens everytime the broom took a turn.

Mahiko watched as Akko dissappeared from the horizon, he quickly went back to the audience and grabbed his staff and saw Lotte and Sucy in front of the audience near the finish line, he went behind them and looked at the incoming participants.

"You sure have creative methods on winning Lady Manbavaran. Especially bringing out the legendary broom Shooting Star." He said towards Sucy as he looked at the incoming racers.

"Shooting Star was not apart of my plan Mahiko." Sucy shrugged as Mahiko looked at her with a raised eyebrow and blinking at her, trying to reaffirm to what he heard from her.

"It wasn't?" He asked as both of them just shooked their heads in a "no." He just continues to watch for winner until Wangari shouted through the megaphone.

"WELL WHAT DO YOU KNOW!!! AKKO JUST CAME BACK IN THE RELAY. NECK-TO-NECK WITH DIANA CAVENDISH HERSELF!!!"

"Are you kidding?" Sucy replied with an appalled look on her face.

"That does not look like a joke Lady Manbavaran." He said as he saw from afar thanks to his glasses zooming in. He then saw three figures closing in. This surprised the three of them as they heard on both Akko and Diana are really neck-to-neck on the relay.

"AMANDA O'NEILL IS DISQUALIFIED FROM THE RELAY!!! THAT'S NOT A BATON, BUT A DOUGHNUT!!!" Wangari announced with her excited yet loud voice. Amanda looked down at her wrist and with a surprise look on her face, it is indeed a chocolate coated doughnut.

Back to the remaining racers, they felt their high speed flying ran past them, causing winds to sweep the leaves, hairs and other things. Lotte screaming her support for Akko while having stars in her eyes while the two, Sucy and Mahiko didn't say a word but the latter just smiled underneath his mask and watch as the relay is near to its end. He saw was about to win until the hinges and the chains are about to come off out of the broom, leaving the girl to hold onto the last cage, until it broke off.

Akko was screaming and was about to hit the ground until she opened her eyes and saw how the broom, the broom displayed its wings as it flies away and up to the skies. To Akko, it was very majestic how the Legendary Shooting Star flies away onto the skies, to the clouds until it disappeared and leaving broom feathers behind.

Through the glass windows of the wardrobe, it reveals all the winners of the Annual Broom Relay, one in particular photo was a picture of Diana Cavendish and her team members that just won the annual broom relay event. Diana stood there in front of the cabinet as she stared at the image of her and her teammates. Diana's attention was gained by the voice of Professor Ursula which she turned her head and saw the professor walking towards the winner of the relay. She stood there while Diana returns her gaze back at her picture displayed inside the wardrobe.

"Congratulations on winning the Annual Broom Relay Ms. Cavendish. I'm quite surprised that Miss Kagari came in second on the relay." Professor Ursula said as she then looked at the wardrobe.

"I'm surprised as well. She is a passionate girl to be honest." Diana replied as she smiled a little.

"She'll show a lot more than she showed today Lady Diana." Mahiko joined the conversation as he walked besides Professor Ursula holding a textbook under his one arm while weilding his staff on the other.

"Greetings Mahiko. I was disappointed that you didn't participate on the broom relay. I was hoping to have a good competition against you during the relay." Diana said as she look up to the wizard.

"With the little interaction I have with the other students and the relay requiring three members in one team. My chances of actually joining the relay was slim to none." Mahiko remarked which got both Professor Ursula and Diana to nod at his answer.

"Very well, I should be leaving you two for now. Like I said Professor, atleast she has passion." Diana said as she walked the other way with her right hand on her waist.

Both Mahiko and Professor Ursula looked at the wardrobe, while the latter just closed her eyes with a melancholy expression on her face.

"Passion for now." She said as she looked at a particular picture. A picture of a young Chariot du Nord smiling while holding her trophy in the middle with her two teammates looking at her weirdly.

"She'll grow up Professor Ursula. She'll grow up." Mahiko assured the professor, giving her a pat on the shoulder as he left her to look at the picture of her younger self.
