35. sealing the forever
" There's a lot of memories. This class, class of 2019, brought me a lot of happiness. And I couldn't have been prouder to teach, and to lead this class. Although, the odd few have caused me to get some white hairs, I couldn't be more prouder than I already am. So congratulations on successfully completing college. " All of the students started clapping, cheering on the white haired maths teacher, who gave his wonderful speech (even though most of the students didn't know him.)
Jungkook smiled to himself excitedly. He looked down at his black robe, and pulled at the butterfly sleeves. The doe eyed boy then looked over to his best friend, Jimin, who tapped his shoulder. Jimin leaned closer to Jungkook, so that the two could speak quietly. " Look over there. " Jimin whispered, motioning over to somewhere behind him. Jungkook turned around, and seen Taehyung, clad in his black robe, his tufts of silver hair popping out of his graduation cap.
Standing next to him, was a black haired women, her hair slicked back in a tight bun, she looked near to exactly what Taehyung looked like. She had the same eyes, same tan skin, but was skinnier and shorter. She was wearing a tight knee-length business skirt, with a white shirt. The top two unbuttoned to show off her beautiful cold necklace. She carried a blazer on her arm, and a bag was on her shoulder. Next to her stood a man, in a blue suit, towering over the both of them.
However, Jungkook's eyes drifted back over to the woman next to Taehyung. She was so beautiful, and so young. It was amazing the pure confidence she radiated. But then Jungkook looked over to Taehyung, who was scanning the crowd with his eyes, not noticing that Jungkook was staring at him.
Before Taehyung could find Jungkook, the receptionist led him to his seat, which was right at the front, where she was sitting before. She then led Taehyung's parents to where all of the other parents where sitting. Jungkook looked straight ahead, and realized that headmaster Lee was now giving a speech as well.
"Well, what can I say? That hasn't already been said. Let me just remind all of you, you are no longer students. You are real adults, now ready to go off into the world. Some of you with scholarships, some of you are staying here to start working, some of you are off to university, but I want to let all of you know that here, with all of us...you are still our children. And you always have a place with AVC's family. The majority of you, have made connections like no others, and I'm proud to say that it was because of AVC all of you are brought closer together, to the real world, and to your youth. "
There was a long pause, before Headmaster Lee took a deep breath, and began speaking again.
" There's a lot of rewards to be handed out today. So let's get on with it. We'll know move onto speeches from our best students, and our favorites, sorry everyone but now that you're old enough, you need to know that teachers do have favourites. " Headmaster Lee chuckled, and so did some of the parents. But the students just rolled their eyes smiling.
Irenes name was called, and she stood up proudly. Irene looked beautiful, her hair was in rolled clusters, that bounced when she walked, and she couldn't stop smiling. She fixed the microphone. And smiled.
" Wow....look at all of us morons..." She began. Some of the students cheered. " I never thought I'd be standing here. You know, giving a speech about our college. I mean, come on guys. No one expected me to be giving a freaking speech right now. And I don't want to get too detailed but all I'm going to say is, we...WE shaped AVC to what it is. Sure there was ranks, some better than others. But the fact that we can come together today, and just listen to one another. And the fact that most of us, have broken those ranks, shows a lot. It may have taken a while, but all I'm going to say is how proud I am, a fellow student, talking amongst peers, to be in the class. This college. This everything. "
Everyone stood up, clapping for Irene as she just muttered some thank yous and walked off of the stage. Irene quickly looked over to Jimin, Jungkook and Jin, to flash them a big smile, and then she sat down to her seat.
Next up to speak was Namjoon, who got top marks on all of his exams. He cleared his throat. " I came new into this school, but I have created some of the best memories ever. Like, getting top marks, and making these wonderful friends, and getting back together with my first proper love. I'm really quite sad that this journey has come to an end for all of us, but I wish the best of luck for everyone in this class and so on. " Namjoon nodded and walked off of stage.
Next up was Jungkook.
Jungkook stared down at everyone from the stage, all the familiar faces. And felt nostalgic. And there was a feeling in his heart that he didn't know he would have. " We have all been through a lot. We have had problems we couldn't solve. Situations we couldn't get out of. But look at us now, I'm pretty sure that no one has worked harder than us, to get to where we are now. And I'm pretty sure that all the teachers have been through a lot of graduations, and heard the same thing over and over again throughout the years, but the one thing they probably haven't heard is the truth, or the true meaning of our words. So instead of feeling sad that this journey is coming to an end, let's reminisce all the happy memories that we treasure deep in our hearts. "

" Jungkook! " It was the end of graduation, and everyone was running to their family, or talking to their friends. Jungkook turned around from talking to Irene and seen his father. Jungkook gasped and ran to his dad, hugging him tightly. Jungkook's dad chuckled, " hi son. "
Jungkook smiled, " hi dad. "
" I'm proud of you son. That speech you gave up there hit almost everyone's hearts. Not mine though. I've got a heart of stone. " Jungkook's dad aggressively patted his own chest, smiling loopily.
Jungkook facepalmed, " dad! " He shouted in embarrassment. Jungkook was used to his dad making jokes like this, but his peers walking past, certainly was not.
Jungkook saw Taehyung wondering aimlessly around, and that's when he called Taehyung over. "Dad, I'd like you to meet Taehyung. Taehyung, meet my dad." Taehyung smiled nervously over at Jungkook's father.
Jungkook's dad, however, pulled Taehyung in for a big hug. "Jungkook doesn't even need to tell me who you are, I know that you are someone special. " Taehyung laughed awkwardly, "yeah that's me. And trust me, your son is special as well."
Taehyung and Jungkook's dad continued to converse, and Jungkook didn't want to stop them. His dad meant a lot to him, and so did Taehyung. And he wanted the two to get along. And it seemed that they were really hitting it off.
It wasn't until Jungkook's dad started to share embarrassing stories of Jungkook, exposing him to Taehyung, that Jungkook wanted the two to stop talking immediately.
Jungkook's dad was wheezing, "there was this one time where me and my wife believed Jungkook pooped his pants...a-and it just turned out that he sat on Nutella bread. But the funny thing was he didn't want to change, he just ran around the neighborhood that day with brown Nutella stains on his pants."
Taehyung laughed smoothly, "Jungkook sure is a weird one isn't he." Taehyung looked over to Jungkook and winked, but Jungkook just sighed.
"You do know that I'm standing right here, don't you?" Jungkook sighed, his hands resting on his hips.
"Yes Jungkook, that's why we're embarrassing you, because you're standing right here. " Jungkook's father replied, the laugh and quiet sniggers still evident.
"You two besties need to cut it off, otherwise....well I don't know what...but STILL." Jungkook whined.
Taehyung and his father just burst out laughing directly at his face, which he believed was not amusing.
"Taehyung? You ran off as soon as the speeches finished." Taehyung's mother arrived, along with the man who Jungkook believed to be his stepfather. They both stood next to Taehyung.
Taehyung's mother looked over at Jungkook with piercing eyes, but when she realised who it was, her eyes softened. "Hello, you must be Jungkook. Taehyung's told me a lot about you. " She held her hand out, to which Jungkook shook, smiling. "yes, it's nice to meet you. I can see the resemblance."
Jungkook greeted his step father, and everyone began to converse. After a while, Taehyung's mother pulled Jungkook away for a quick chat.
"Jungkook, I just wanted to thank you."
Jungkook looked at her confused. "You helped my son go through a lot, and now I can see that he's changed for the better. Excuse my language but after that Elle bitch broke his heart, he seemed like he was always going to stay the same. It seemed like he wasn't ever going to love, or be loved. Especially with the passing of his father. So thank you. "
It was rare for Taehyung's mother to express herself, and Jungkook knew that just by looking at the woman.
"No, thank you. You gave birth to an amazing son, and everyday he's made me feel even more loved." She smiled at Jungkook, and pulled Jungkook in for a hug. Jungkook returned the hug with warmth and love.
Taehyung looked over and saw his boyfriend and mother hugging. Which took him by surprise. When Jungkook returned to his side, he looked at him confused. But Jungkook just smiled and shrugged.
After a while, everyone had to return to their seats. But this time, everyone sat with all their friends.
While listening to the school board give their speech. Jungkook felt a warm hand on his. Jungkook looked over to Taehyung and smiled warmly. Taehyung whispered, "I didn't really get a chance to speak to you privately."
Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows, "yeah?" He questioned.
Taehyung shook his head and smiled fondly, "I don't think I need to speak to you privately ever again. When I can show you every single day how I feel."
"Everyday?"
"This doesn't have to be the end. We can carry on. Who's to say that this is the end for us. We don't have to go our own ways. We don't have to forget about us, everything that we built. "
"Who's to say that we don't?"
"Us." Taehyung said, smiling down at Jungkook.
Before Jungkook could reply, Headmaster Lee spoke through speakers loudly. " I know this is an American thing to do, but you know. I want to do it. Like throw your caps in the air and that. " Everyone chuckled loudly at Headmaster Lee.
" I hereby announce, the class of 2019, graduated."
Everyone cheered, and stood up throwing their caps into the air.
Jungkook and Taehyung did the same, but pulling each other in for a kiss.
And that moment was captured, the two young kids, hopelessly in love, sealing their forever, while blue caps rained down upon them.
