The two of them had been friends since they were children. 

Loki always was a mischievous child and that's what brought him and Dido together. She was a smart young Asgardian with an appetite for adventure and trouble, which was literally what Loki was; Adventure and trouble. 

"LOKI!!" Dido yelled, storming out of her washroom, wrapped in a sapphire blue bathrobe.

Loki, who was sitting on her bed reading, looked up at Dido and burst out laughing. Her normally caramel colored hair was stained neon green; a sort of sick joke on Loki's behalf. 

"What the hell?!?!" She yelled at her best friend and he set the book down to clutch his stomach as he laughed. 

"I-I th-thinkk the....-the green fits you w-we-well!" He managed to get out between his fits of laughter.

Dido glared at him. Lately, Loki had become cruel, insulting her and the people she held dear. Today he was walking on thin ice, drawing the last straws of her patience. 

"Turn it back now!" She stomped her foot, starting to get very annoyed with his obnoxious giggling.

"Or what?" Loki raised an eyebrow, a mischievous grin gracing his lips.

"I-... I don't know!! Just turn it back, Loki!" Dido's voice cracked and her brow furrowed.

"Well, I don't see much of a difference in how you looked before...but..." Loki pondered the thought of changing her hair back, "but no, I'm not going to change it back... find a way to change it back on your own..."

Tears welled in Dido's eyes and her hands formed firsts at her sides, "You've been such a jerk lately!! So much that I don't want to be around you anymore!!" She cried, "So get out!! Get out of my room now!" 

She pointed towards the door, tears streaming down her cheeks and Loki's features immediately changed. His eyebrows shot up, his mouth slightly agape. He was shocked. 

"Dido... i-it was meant as a joke..." He stuttered, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be a jerk... forgive me.."

Through clenched teeth, Dido gave another sob, "...Get out..." 

"Dido I-"

"GET OUT!!" She yelled once more and Loki hung his head in shame, slowly making his way to the door.

Just before exiting the room, Loki glanced back at her regretfully.

It had been a couple of days since Loki had seen Dido.

Since then, he had locked himself away in his room. He barely had eaten, barely slept((how much sleep would you be able to get if you were locking yourself away from society? You know what, don't answer that XDD)) it was wonderous how his body was still functioning properly.

I can't believe it... I've thrown away my one and only friend.

There was a sort of aching in Loki's heart, one he hadn't felt before. 

Was it possible that...

He ... loved her?

Loki jumped up from his bed, almost fell over from how frail his body was and ran out of his room. Finally, he made it to Dido's room and he knocked three short, quick times.

knock, knock, knock.

"Dido!"

"Dido!"

"Dido!"

Suddenly the door opened to reveal a very annoyed looking Dido.

"What the hel do you want, Odinson?" She growled and Loki winced.

"I came to apologize, darling..." He whispered

"It's too late to apologize, Loki-!"

But Loki cut her off by pressing his lips against hers,

"I'm sorry, my love... I truly am..."
