Alright so!! For the sake of keeping this short I'll limit it only to characters from anime/manga that I have finished as of 1/13/2019 -- also I figured alphabetical anime order would be nice c:

As a note, there are so many other anime characters that I adore! But these would have to be my top five. c:

Attack on Titan - Jean Kirschtein

Ahh Jean.  Probably the first anime character I ever found myself really adoring.  I will admit I didn't like him very much at the beginning of the series, but as events around him changed his mindset and allowed him to grow, I too grew to love him.  In my opinion he had some really amazing character development and overall became a better person due to his struggles.  As such, he also feels really 'human', if that makes much sense cx

Honorable mention from this show is Erwin Smith.

Free! Iwatobi Swim Club - Nagisa Hazuki

The minute I saw this precious boy my heart stopped and I wanted nothing more than to hug him and tell him everything would be okay.  He's so positive?? And encouraging?? Like how does someone do that???!!  He is a cutie with a golden heart and what more could I ask for? ALSO ohmygod in the episode where he almost runs away due to stress from testing I never related more to a character and I just want to protect him from the world~~
Honorable mention from this show is Aiichiro Nitori.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Jean Havoc

(Roi's also in the gif because he's probably tied with Havoc, or at least a close second). Anywho~ My reasoning as to why I like Havoc so much is sort of flawed?  Then again, I don't think you really need a particular reason to like something or someone, sometimes you simply do.  Havoc was one of those characters for me.  
Evidently, honorable mention from this show is Roy Mustang, as well as Riza Hawkeye

Kiznaiver - Nico Niiyama

Kiznaiver was one of the first anime I actually saw the entirety of.  A close friend of mine introduced me to it under the pretense that there were characters like us in the show.  She was like Tenya, and she said I reminded her of Nico.  Throughout the show I understood why.  Nico's pretty eccentric but doesn't care much as to what others may think about her.  She's also kind and tries to keep a happy face even if she's hurt.  So even though I'm nowhere near as pure and precious as her, she has earned a special place in my heart.
Honorable mention from this show is Chidori Takashiro.

My Hero Academia - Tsuyu Asui

Alright let's talk about my sweet adorable froppy. I could tell I was going to like her by her blatant honesty and quickness to make observations. She also seemed quite insightful, being the first to notice Izuku's quirk's similarities with that of All Might.  I think what really tied the deal for me was that she has a very hard time expressing her emotions, which is something I can relate to.  However, as the series continues and she builds true friendships with the other characters, you see a shift in her mindset as she begins to open up and tries her best to let the people around her know how she is feeling.  That character development does not go unnoticed. 
Honorable mentions from this show are Denki Kaminari and Tensei Iida.

There are so many other honorable mentions, both from these shows and others, that I may just have to post them in a different chapter, ahaha cx
