The Dinner Party
A/N: Hello Fruity babies!
Mama here! And I brought something new! And horrific, won't this be fun?!
I hope so. So please comment and let me know how I'm doing with these, remember I'm still learning so be gentle with me.
Also don't forget to leave me a like or two.
Enjoy!
A phone rings.
"Hello Breezy speaking?"
"Hey babe how's it going?"
"Hi honey, I'm fine, how have you been? Haven't heard from you in a couple of days."
"Yeah I got caught up with a few things, but it's all good now. I wanted to invite you to a little get together I'm having. Nothing too fancy, just family and a few close friends."
"Oh my gosh Dallon are you serious? I-I'm flattered, but-"
"Please sweetheart I just want them to finally meet the girl I'm always bragging about."
"Y-you brag about me?"
"Of course I do, I love you Breezy so very much and I couldn't imagine my life without you. Please say you'll come?"
"I love you too Dallon...oh my it's the first time we've ever said it….okay I'll go, who could resist such a beautiful request...but what am I gonna wear? Like is it formal or casual?"
"It's formal, but not like celebrity status or anything. Just nice people in nice clothes. Hmm say why don't you wear that lovely red dress I picked out for you?"
"Dally are you sure it's appropriate? I mean your parents are gonna be at the party right?"
"Yes and I love that dress on you. It sinuates your beautiful curves. Drives me wild, you have to wear it. For me? Pretty please?"
"Fine, but keep your hands to yourself….well at least until after the party's over."
"I think I can manage that. So pick you up at 7?"
"It's a date."
A black sudan drove slowly through the night. The city lights whizzing past them becoming far in between. Neither one of them spoke during the ride. Something not uncommon. It was peaceful yet over time the silence began to feel a bit off to the woman. Like something wasn't quite right. Suffocating in a way. Just sucking out all oxygen to prevent even the smallest form of sound. Slowing crushing her from the inside until-
"Babe?"
Breezy jumped a bit and did her best to laugh it off. She was surely just overthinking things again. "Yeah sweetie?"
"Everything alright?" Dallon looked at her closely, a gentle hand on her shoulder.
"Oh I'm fine Dal no need to worry. You can continue driving." She took his hand and held it tight in her soft grip. To which the tall man began to laugh. "What's so funny?"
"We're actually here. You were so zoned out you didn't even notice." He chuckled to her slight frown. "No need to pout, you look adorable when you're zoned out. Eyes all glazed over, a bit of drool sliding down your chin."
"Dallon!" Breezy huffed and pushed him away. He laughed even harder. She just groaned as it took him a few minutes to calm down.
"Relax I'm only teasing to help ease you up. I know you're nervous. You always do that little rolling motion with your thumbs." He smirked at her. She blushed as she didn't know he paid that much attention to her small quirks. As if reading her thoughts he kissed her cheek. "I love everything about you that why I pay close attention. And I'm sure they will too."
Breezy smiled and took a deep breath. "Well we better get in there, wouldn't want you to be late to your own party because of me." She turned and gasped at the huge house that stood in front of them. It was closer to the size of a mini mansion. "T-this is your HOUSE!?" Her eyes went wide. To live this lavishly and in the middle of the woods outside the city.
Dallon could sense her nerves creeping up again. So he got out and opened her door for her. "Honey it's just my family's forest villa. While I do have a place in the city for work purposes I much prefer the sounds of nature. Now take it slow, I promise they don't bite." He chuckled as he took her hand, pulling her out of the truck.
"Yeah...right…." She awkwardly giggled along. Of course she was being silly and him saying that only proved it. Breezy smiled and gave herself a nice once over. "Alright let's get this show on the road, shall we?" A playful smirk on her lips.
"We shall." He held her close and strode right up to the door. Before he could even unlock it, it opened with an older woman with auburn hair with silver highlights tied back in an elegant bun. Eyes a soft blue, warm smile, and skin a similar pale eggish color like Dallon. Surely this was his mother.
"Oh you came, I was worried Dally would hog you all to himself. He's a very greedy boy you know." She joked as she pulled them inside.
"Oh mother, please I'm not a boy anymore. I know how to share these days." Dallon playfully rolled his eyes.
"Sure you do honey, but it seems your manners still lack seeing how you have yet to properly introduce me to her." She replied, kissing his cheek.
"Well if you'd stop nag-"
The woman crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow in that 'what did you say?' silent motherly scolding way.
"I mean you're right, my mistake." Dallon quickly spoke up as he took his mother's and Breezy's arm and walked them from the hall and into the living room where a small group was. "Excuse me everyone I would like you all to meet my new girlfriend Breezy." They all turned and smiled at her.
"H-hello…" She really hated being on the spot, but it was for a good reason. Meeting all the people who were special in Dallon's life.
"Okay Breezy this short goofy guy here is my little brother Ryan." He wore a leather jacket with a colorful shirt and skinny jeans. Ryan gave a sly smirk and waved.
"This lovely couple are my close friends Brendon and his wife Sarah." She smiled sweetly at the introduction in a nice long thin strapped black dress covered with sunflowers while he, who wore a very fashionable turquoise suit without a tie, gave the woman a once over. And Breezy could've sworn she heard a slight growl. Or was it?
"And last but certainly not least is this beautiful creature that keeps us all together, my amazing mother Lorraine." She wore an elegant off the shoulder chocolate colored gown that showed off her hourglass form. A silver brooch pinned perfectly in the center of her chest. The picture was of a man. Dallon's father.
"Alright Dally go make us ladies a couple of drinks while we talk." Lorraine extended her long toned arm to Breezy and pulled her towards the others. She was very trim for her age, not to say she couldn't work out because of age. She just looked more athletic than most. In fact they all did, Breezy not one to shy away from a couple of spinning classes a week, felt a bit out of shape standing amongst them. She hoped her tight fitting red dress didn't show any bulges.
"Now sweetheart tell me about yourself. I feel like I've only been giving a name and the old 'she's a great girl' line. So tell me the truth." Lorraine sat them down on the long couch. The rest had crowded around them as well. Again Breezy wasn't one to be put in the spotlight, but she kept breathing and prayed she wouldn't stutter.
"Well I'm just your average girl. I work as a producer of a radio show with a friend of mine. It's not super fancy, but I do make a nice piece of change. I paint in my free time, might get the nerve to sell some of them one day. I'm an only child, parents live out the country. I like baking and flowers, but the store bought kind not really a green thumb kinda girl you know? And umm I do spinning class twice a week." Breezy was just rambling at this point just to have something to talk about. And of course she had to add that last part as some weird "I'm fit too" sorta thing. She wasn't jealous of them, just wanted to be accepted.
In all honesty Dallon was the first guy in a long time to even give her the time of day. Not that she was ugly, far from it. Just seemed like guys weren't in for the long haul and Breezy refused to waste time on anything less. And just when she was about to give up hope there came her tall handsome knight to swoop her off her feet to save her from a life of solitude.
They all were listening to her every word. It was weird, but nice to see they found some sort of interest in her somewhat boring life.
"So what show do you work for? Anyone famous?" Ryan asked.
"Ooh you must show me your paintings, I love art!" Sarah replied.
"Hush you two, she still needs to tell me the story of how her and Dally met." Lorraine gushed as she held her hand tight.
It was all a bit much with them all talking at the same time. Thankfully Brendon stayed quiet. Only watching her intently through the side of his upturned glass. Breezy just laughed them all off trying to remain calm.
"Okay okay guys you're gonna freak her out, back off a bit." Dallon came in just the nick of time. "Your drinks m'ladies." He offered pretty blue cocktails to both Breezy and Lorraine.
"Thanks." Breezy blushed and took a sip. She did need a break. And it was so nice how Dallon always seemed to know what she needed exactly when she needed it. She once fantasized him as a genie here to grant her every wish. Silly of course, but not too far off if she was being honest.
"Thank you Dally and tell them to back off. I think it's important that I talk to my future daughter in law."
Breezy nearly spit out her drink, but spilled it on herself instead. Coughing at the bit she managed to swallow.
"Mother! Stop that, we haven't even got that far yet. Can't you go one night without insisting on marriage!?" Dallon protested, but it came out more like a whine. He then helped Breezy up to take her to the bathroom to clean herself off.
Once there he made sure she was alright, lightly wiping at the wet stain with a damp towel. "Sorry about my mother she can be a bit overbearing at times, but she means well." He sighed.
"N-no it's fine, I just didn't think this was an engagement party." She chuckled at his cute little baby pout. He couldn't help laughing at her joke too.
"Have I ever told you you're the greatest?" Dallon leaned in to kiss her.
"Yes you have, but I wouldn't mind hearing it more often." Breezy kissed him back. They sat there lightly making out a bit. "We better not take too long, wouldn't want your mother to come in here." She teased as she backed off a bit. Dallon respected her wishes. Kissing and hugging was about as far as they were. Not that she didn't want to, but a bathroom only a few feet away from his family and friends sure wasn't the ideal first time spot.
"This stain is still pretty noticeable though. I'm sorry." He frowned as he looked at the now ruined garment.
"It's alright, it was my fault anyway." Breezy smiled and shrugged. It wasn't the first time she's spilled something on herself and won't be the last.
"But you can't go out in that. Wait here, maybe Sarah can help. She knows a lot about clothes." Dallon gave her a quick peck and rushed out before she even got a chance to protest.
"Great now I'll be trapped in here with a stranger." Breezy sighed. Her boyfriend meant well but this was a bit much in her eyes.
A knock came on the door. "Can I come in?" Sarah's voice came from the other side.
"Yeah I guess." She replied awkwardly as she held the door to let her inside.
"Dallon tells me the stain won't come out so I brought some club soda to do the trick." She smiled as she gently pushed the other back against the sink. Breezy was a bit shocked why Sarah was so forceful, it wasn't that big of a deal. "Don't worry I just don't wanna get you wet so it's best to do this over the sink." She added as if reading her mind. Talk about strange.
"Y-yeah I guess, but it's really in there I doubt it'll come out anywa-" Breezy tried to stand up again.
"Don't be silly it's too pretty a dress to leave it like this. I'll get it off." Sarah insisted while pushing her back on the sink. She appeared nice, but her smile was a bit unnerving. Breezy remained quiet as she let her work.
It took a few minutes and the stain still wasn't coming out. "Not to worry I have one more trick up my sleeve." Sarah continued to smile at Breezy. Again unnerving showing off more of her teeth this time. It looked as if they grew longer in the short time of them talking. Or was Breezy going mad? Before she could fully go down that route of thinking, Sarah had called her husband to get her some baking soda.
Now this was making the brunette uncomfortable. One stranger was bad enough, but two?! Not to mention her husband Brendon gave her the creeps the most. Barely even speaking a word to her since she got there. Merely staring her down. Like he wanted her, for what she didn't know, but she knew it wasn't good.
"Hey babe here you go." Brendon stood in the doorway holding up the box. A smile on his face as he stared Breezy down.
"Thanks honey you're so kind. What would I ever do without you." Sarah gushed as she kissed his cheek. Taking the baking soda from him and turning back to the nervous brunette. "When we mix the club soda with this, that stain will be history." She quickly got to work making a paste.
Brendon moved closer in the bathroom. Breezy began breathing a bit faster the closer he came. While it was a nice size room, with him in it, it seemed to be no bigger than a shoe box. As if he was sucking all the extra space from the room. His eyes still fixated on her. And her on his. For some reason she couldn't look away. Something was drawing her in and she didn't have a clue what it was. "My darling you smell ravishing tonight. What is this intoxicating perfume you're wearing?" Brendon whispered to her.
Breezy jumped when she realized that during their stare down, she had allowed him to get right up against her neck. His warm breath sent tingles down her spine. "I-its umm from a set I bought a while ago, but thank you." Her voice shook as she eased her way back away from him.
"Be careful, you wouldn't want this getting everywhere." Sarah placed her hand on the woman's thigh to stop her squirming. "Besides it's just a mere compliment. You act as if Dallon never gave you one before." She giggled as she moved closer to her neck as well. Her hand tightening on Breezy's thigh.
They both had the poor woman trapped on the sink with her legs gapped open for God sakes. How was she to leave. Things got even weirder when she began hearing light growling in the room. Were they making that noise? And how were they doing it and so animalistic like? Breezy was just about to scream for help.
"Don't tell me it took both of you to clean her up or are you trying to get fresh with Dallon's girl." Lorraine said from the door. She had a smirk on her face yet her eyes didn't really match the emotion of playfulness.
The couple laughed. "Of course not Lorraine, I was just holding her still so Sarah could work." Brendon replied as he went over to bow and kiss her hand. Clearly she held their respect on a deeper level.
"You're all done and look, the stain is gone. What luck." Sarah smiled as she wiped the excess from the dress. A bit roughly, but Breezy was happy to finally be free to leave.
She rushed past them only to be stopped by Lorraine. "Hold on there where's the fire?" Gripping her arm
"I was just going to find Dallon and-"
"Not to worry my son is busy with the chef at the moment. Why not take the tour of our lovely home with me?" Her smile was even more unnerving as her grip was unbelievably tight. Meaning the girl really didn't have a choice.
"O-okay I guess it wouldn't hurt." Breezy tried to hide the fact that she was beginning to fear these strange people. They seemed way more sinister than your average in laws. And technically they weren't even in laws.
"Don't look so glum, you'll see Dal again later. Plus you're gonna love the moon room." Ryan cheerily spoke as he hooked Breezy's other arm. "Wh-what's a moon room?' Breezy was highly confused.
"Not to worry sweet girl. Lead the way mother?" Ryan blew off her question.
"Thank you son." Lorraine nodded and the five of them walked the halls of the forest mansion. Each room looked grander than the last. Even Brendon and Sarah had a room there. For vacations they said, but Breezy wasn't too sure. Not that it was too out of the ordinary for friends to share a home, but they all seemed closer than just good friends. Either way Breezy was going to make a quick departure after dinner for sure.
"And here is our glorious moon room my son spoke of." The distinguished older woman introduced as she released Breezy's arm. Everyone going their separate ways in the room.
"W-why is it called a moon room?" She dreaded asking but they all seemed so fond of it, her curiosity couldn't help itself.
She got her answer when Ryan flipped a switch and the ceiling opened up. Unveiling a large red moon that sat incredibly low in the sky. From their position it was as if you could reach out and pluck it from behind the treeline. Breezy gasped as the others sighed happily gazing up at it.
"This is a very special room for only our best family and friends. Consider yourself very lucky Breezy. My son has taken quite a liking to you. In fact we all have." Lorraine spoke. Her voice seemed to echo throughout the large room.
Suddenly Breezy found herself surrounded by them all. She jumped as she didn't really see anyone move. Almost as if they just appeared at her position. Which so happened to be at the center of the room. They all had creepy smiles as they drew closer and closer. Boxing her in the middle. She could feel the warmth from their breath as her pulse tripled when she felt all their hands on her. Breezy clenched her eyes shut as a scream bubbled up from the pit of her stomach.
"Dinner is ready everyone." Dallon announced happily. Suddenly she was standing by herself, everyone back to their earlier positions now leaving for the dining room.
Breezy was confused, she was sure that they were mere centimeters from her only a moment ago. She stood there contemplating what happened or at least what she thought just happened.
"Come on babe you wouldn't wanna miss this." He took her hand.
"B-but didn't you see them? They were all over me Dallon!" Breezy was frantic. She knew she wasn't crazy and considering the now drying spot on her dress, she hadn't had a drop of liquor either.
"Breezy, honey relax. They come on strong but that only means they like you. Now come and eat." Dallon's silky voice calmed her nerves as he once again took her hand, leading her into the dining room. Hopefully she was just overthinking things.
Breezy lit up once her eyes laid on the magnificent spread of food they were going to partake this evening. "Everything looks delicious Dallon, definitely give my compliments to the chef." She smiled as she sat down near the head of the table. Dallon pushed her chair in respectfully.
"Of course, he loves it when our guests like the food." He replied as he took his seat at the head of the long table. Lorraine sat at the other end. While Ryan, Brendon, and Sarah sat along the sides.
The food was indeed wonderful. From the lamb to the salad to the pasta to the soup to the perfectly seasoned vegetables. Breezy was enjoying it all. Maybe this place wasn't half bad with gourmet spreads like these every night. Unbeknownst to her, everyone kept a close eye on her. Including Dallon.
Now came dessert, a beautiful three tier Red Velvet cake. With the smoothest buttercream frosting, topped with the most loveliest red flowers Breezy has ever seen. She couldn't wait to take a bite. Dallon cut the cake for everyone and she was pleasantly surprised to see it had a thick red syrup oozing from inside. No doubt some fancy preserves.
They all dug in, humming with delight. Breezy was in heaven. The cake tasted so good. "Honey you're definitely gonna have to get me this recipe, starting with this amazing syrup. Never tasted something so sweet in my life." She raved as she ate.
"Oh really? I'm glad you like it babe. I had them make it special since you were joining us tonight." Dallon took her hand in his, smiling just as sweetly as the day they met. Breezy was in love, but then she remembered what his mother had said. Was he really about to propose or something? It didn't help that everyone was now watching them, waiting for something to happen.
"T-thats nice of you Dallon, what's this syrup flavors anyway?" She tried to change the subject as best she could.
"Oh it's just your average everyday human blood." He chuckled.
Breezy laughed at his joke. "Yeah sure it is. Next you're gonna tell me you're all vampires." She laughed a bit harder.
"Close, but not quite." He answered.
She stopped at that and looked Dallon deep in the eye as well as everyone else. No one was laughing. Only staring at her. Brendon and Sarah were even licking their lips. Breezy was at a loss for words as she slowly looked down to see that the thick liquid was indeed blood.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS!?" Breezy jumped to her feet, knocking her chair to the floor. Before she could even take another step she found herself pinned to the table. Strong claws held her down.
She looked up to see Sarah, Ryan, and Brendon holding her down. All their eyes a glowing yellow with razor sharp teeth. Growling and appearing very wild like. Breezy cried and cowered away from their snarls and chomps.
Dallon merely stood at the head of the table looking down at the pitiful woman. A devilish grin on his face.
"D-Dallon please don't do this, I-I thought you loved me?!" She cried harder.
"He's a great little actor isn't he?" Lorraine walked up beside her son all smiles with glowing yellow eyes and sharp teeth. "Since my handsome husband was murdered by your ignorant kind, he's stepped up rather wonderfully. Keeping us fed to the brim." She admired her son's accomplishments.
"W-what...kind of monsters are you!?" Breezy yelled in anger as she struggled to break free. Her heart tearing at the seams of such a betrayal.
"We are werewolves my dear. And my mother speaks the truth. I am the alpha of this pack. So it is my job to feed us all. Naive people like you make this so much easier. I barely have to twist your arm. Coming here willingly to die." Dallon got on top of the table, cupping her chin. "You speak of love, but I could never love a creature like you. Let's put it this way, you'd eat a ham sandwich but you'll never kiss a pig." Growls grew louder.
Breezy screamed as the final thing she saw was a huge wolf lunging at her face. After that they all partook in tearing and ripping off the flesh and meat.
Ending the night in a lovely family howl at the blood moon.
