After we finished eating we were joined by two more Celestial Rebels, one a man with black hair, the other a woman with brown hair. Both looked to be in their twenties. We headed to the library which was also used as a war room.

Cynth spread out a map on the table and said," We three will discuss our attack plan for one of the military camps. You may join us if you would like or look for information in the library."

"We'd like to listen in," I replied.

"Right now we're here,"Cynth said as she pointed at a black star on the map.

"The military camp is situated near the western gulf. It is only a day's walk from here. I suggest we send all of our troops and attack once they're asleep," she said.

The woman spoke up,"I agree with your decision, we need the element of surprise as we will be outnumbered. There will be approximately one thousand soldiers there."

"Is it even possible for you to beat them?" I ask incredulously.

"We were actually planning on waiting for more recruits before attacking but a young witch with promising earth powers joined us yesterday and perhaps Aine can help?" Cynth replied.

Aine nodded in answer. "What can I do to help?" I ask.

"Well, we need to keep you safe as you will be our secret weapon but perhaps Aly can teach you the basics of protecting yourself using a sword," she said.

"I don't think I can lift a sword, is there another option?" I asked.

"Well Sheila can teach you how to throw knives then,"Cynth answered.

"We need to discuss the specifics of our strategy now, you'll probably find it boring. I suggest you research on everything you need to know about Theri, and perhaps how to use your powers." Cynth said a bit dismissively.

I nodded and Aine, Luna and I walked to a bookshelf. "Hey Aine, how did you come to protect me? Also, why did you never tell me about my past? You knew how much I wanted to know," I said.

"Well it all started one day when I was six. I remember the day clearly, though. My parents and I were being chased by dragon hunters. They hunt dragons for their own gain. They got both of my parents. Just when I thought I'd die too, your mother saved me. Once you save a dragon, they owe you a debt, it is our solemn duty to repay this. She said it would be repayed if I protected you with my life, forever, so I have," she explained.

"To answer your other question, I just thought it would be better for you to live a normal life until you came of age at least. Your mother did instruct me to bring you back once you were thirteen. I knew the only ones who travel between here and the beyond are Matagots, so I found one. But they can only travel between worlds on the day of a blue moon," she added.

"Ok but I still have one question. How can you stay so calm when you know we could die tomorrow? It is going to be extremely deadly!" I exclaim.

Aine's face seemed to harden then relax, she said, "You know, Ashlyn, war is only deadly if you lose."
