NO CHOCOLATE?!

Well, I'll skip to the end of the battle as it was pretty boring for me. Long story short, the pirates didn't respond but left us alone to kill the soldiers. We won! All of the soldiers at that camp were now either dead or captive for questioning. Luckily, thanks to their skill, only a few perished. Wow, this place has really affected my way of speaking, I said perished instead of died! Anyway, I think only four warriors died. A good majority were injured, nothing fatal though. They were immediately treated by an old guy with a staff and a woman with a whole lot of herbs, I'm guessing they were some sort of healers. That annoying seer was surprisingly helpful. He had looked into one of his crystal thingies and found out where some of the less brave soldiers were hiding along with their commander.

After that we all returned home. It took us a whole day like last time but we got there safe. We got there at sometime early in the morning. Once I got to my tent, I immediately collapsed onto my bed and slept for the rest of the day. I had another dream, but my mother didn't speak to me. My dream wasn't like most dreams, it was just a lot of images flashing. I saw myself as a child, probably only three years old, I was wrapped in a cloak with a strange symbol on it, it looked something like two cs facing each other diagonally. I saw my mother holding out the necklace I always wore. I saw a figure of a man, I didn't recognise him, but I felt like he was smiling at me lovingly. I saw my mother fleeing from what seemed to be a castle at night. Before I could see anymore, I was abruptly woken by Aine, "Ash! Come on wake up! We're holding the funerals of those three poor warriors in half an hour!"

I groaned and asked, "Three?"

"Yeah, the other one was healed by Goethe just in time!" Aine explained.

"Why are you holding a funeral so early in the morning?" I questioned while rubbing my eyes.

"Ash, it's one o'clock." Aine reasoned.

"So?" I asked.

"In the afternoon," she added.

"Oh," I said sheepishly.

I got up and asked her, "How in the world do people survive without showers here?"

"You could just go to the nearest river again, it's only a ten minute walk from here." she suggested.

"Yeah but it's so inconvenient! I am so going to invent the shower for this world once Cynth is back on her throne, and what am I going to wear? I only have this outfit they gave me and my t-shirt and jeans! Maybe if Luna had told me we were going to another dimension, I would've packed more clothes!" I complained.

"Speaking of Luna, where is she?" I asked with a bit of concern.

"Well she got a bit bored so she went to the kitchen to talk to the cats." she said.

"I'm going to go to the river now, you'd better bring me something to wear!" I demanded.

"Fine, remember it's southeast from here!" she replied.

I made sure no one else was there before I took of my clothes and took a dip. The cold water felt good after having sweated so much in trying to stay alive. After about five minutes, I got out and put my underwear on. I waited for Aine while sitting down on rock and hoping that nobody else would come to the river. Mucio came out of nowhere. I was sitting on the rock, still waiting for Aine when I heard a startled yelp. I turned around and saw Mucio with his eyes wide and his face red. I turned red as well as I realised I was only wearing my underwear. I screamed at him, "What are you still doing here?!"

He turned around as fast as an arrow and ran away while yelling, "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I was just going to have a drink! Please don't kill me!"

I groaned and put my face in my hands. Aine picked that moment to arrive. She was speaking while she gave me the clothes she brought, "Here you go, they didn't have any trousers your size available so I hope your old jeans will do but I did get you this shirt."

She opened her mouth to say something else but stopped when she noticed my red face, "What happened?"

I put on the clothes before answering her. The shirt was blue, my favourite colour and it's sleeves went down to my elbows. I murmured, "Mucio saw me in my underwear."

Aine burst out laughing. I glared at her and chastised her, "Oh don't you laugh, missy! This is your fault!"

"Ok, ok let's just go get something to eat before the funerals." Aine said in defeat.

"I want waffles with chocolate syrup," I decide.

"Did you forget? There aren't any cocoa trees in this world, and if there's no cocoa, unfortunately, there's no chocolate," Aine said with a sad sigh.

"WHAT?! HOW COULD A WORLD EXIST WITHOUT CHOCOLATE?! WHY?! Please ignore the sound of MY HEART BREAKING!" I exclaimed.

"You know, I'm pretty sure you're more of a drama queen the Mucio will ever be," Aine commented.

"Nonsense!" I said in a dramatic voice before we both went into giggle mode.
