Filming: "And Now I Just Sit In Silence"

Andrew Detmer was alone in his room, staring at the ceiling as he tapped out a tune with his fingers, his earbuds blaring out a song so he could concentrate on his thoughts. He was tired, a long day of putting out fires and holding back another wave of City Savers made him feel drained, and he retreated quietly to his room to relax, meditate, look at his turtle, and possibly draw if he felt like it. His room was his oasis, his safe place, his home. It was also extremely messy and covered with clothing, computer parts, and food wrappers, just like his old one. He cleaned every few weeks, thankful he could clean up easier with his extra powers and didn't need as much time or manual labor to do so. The ceiling wasn't that interesting, but he kept staring, his thoughts drifting around in his mind, wandering from place to place and never staying too long. His watch vibrating broke him away from the ceiling, signaling that his best friend the Man was hosting a "Macchiatos With The Merlyns" Arrow binge watch party. As much as Andrew wanted to go down, see everyone, and watch the show, he politely declined, saying he would see it later when he wasn't so worn out. The Man tried to bribe him to come down with a hot macchiato coffee covered in whipped cream and a chance to see his good friend Thea, but Andrew stood firm. He didn't even care about coffee anyways. He got up from his bed, using his powers to float across the room and drag his camera behind him. He looked around his room, snapping his fingers as Mountain Dew cans and Red Vine wrappers piled into the trash can and dark colored jeans and hoodies started to fly into open drawers. He floated over to the corner of his room that held his turtle tank, where Sandy the red eared slider sat underneath her heat lamp, head poking out when Andrew came close. Andrew looked down at her and smiled, greeting her softly and grabbing a meal worm to feed her as a snack. He held in front of her with his telekinesis and let her eat it in midair. He made sure all her food was neat and tidy before walking back to his bed and surveying how it looked. The computer parts were now neatly organized in their bins, the junk food was in the trash, and his clothes were all put away in their respective drawers. He layed back down on his bed and put his earbuds in, closing his eyes and relaxing to the sounds of Twenty Øne Pilots, David Bowie, Keane, and Cloud Cult. It was without saying the most comfortable bed he had ever slept on, and he was glad Steve wasn't using his room for secret projects anymore. Andrew faded in and out of consciousness, letting the music calm his body as he relaxed, his troubles all falling behind him. It was moments like these that made him want to stay alive forever and never shake of his so-called curse of immortality. They were peaceful, so peaceful he wanted to replay them over and over again in order to make sure he wasn't dreaming. He finally slipped into sleep, closing his eyes and curling up on his side, tucking his hoodie around his neck so it wouldn't be exposed while he slept. He could get used to this, and he knew he was lucky to have ended up in a house with beds that didn't feel like sleeping on a pile of rocks.
