Snow-tubing was not what came to mind when Andrew envisioned his day. He'd never even heard of it before that day, when the man told him about it. It was one of the few things the man spoke about with no negativity, besides of course that line to do it would be long. Andrew knew he was going to go, just a small group of friends were going and he could use his camera the entire time. The drive to the place was the most fun, as Space Oddity came on the radio. That Itself was a rare occurrence, so the boys both took the time to sing, holding hands in the car. When it was over, the man turned on a new song, one that matched the mood of the day. All Is Well (It's Only Blood) by Radical Face, the perfect calm song for the start of a fun night. And fun it was. Andrew was amazed at how giant the hills were, and how fast the people flew down them in tubes. He was bundled up in a winter coat, but still felt agonizingly cold. Walking up the hill with a giant inner-tube looking thing was harder than it looked, and the "Magic Carpet" wasn't so magical, just something to walk on that moved you slowly upward like a conveyor belt. Getting to the top was the best part, as it was sunset and the view from over the hills was incredible. Once at the spot where the slope was, Andrew got in the tube slowly and pushed himself down. It felt like flying for a few seconds, and he let out a joyful scream as he plummeted down the slope. He definitely wanted to do that again. This time, he hooked up his inner-tube with the man, and the two of them flew down the hill together, screaming and laughing, sore from the cold but still enjoying every minute. Once while one of the workers was trying to help someone get started on the slope, he fell down with the tube, causing everyone on the hill to start laughing as he rolled down the hill with no tube to protect him. The two men left the hills after two hours, the sky completely dark and the beautiful stars were out, seen even though the blinding lights of the slopes. Yep, this was definitely going to become an annual thing, and Andrew couldn't wait to get back out on those hills.
