Chiyo and Bakula were asleep in their beds. The two kitten hybrids had a grand time playing and now allow their tired bodies to rest. Though Chiyo was having trouble falling asleep, she was tossing and turning all night. It was clear she was having a nightmare. A particular nightmare of her worse fear, the darkness.

Chiyo was a black kitten with bunny ears and features that she inherited from her father. She has yellow hat and ears with black highlights. She always wears yellow because it is her favorite color, she wears a yellow shirt with a yellow skirt. On her neck, she wears a yellow scarf that greatly resembles her aunt Hinata, golden one. Whenever anyone takes a look at her golden eyes, they feel happy and forget their worries. Her tail is a bit unusual though. It is mostly a cat tail but with a fluffy yellow rabbit tiff on the tip of the tail.

Bakula is a black kitten as well but unlike Chiyo, she is a python and cat hybrid. When she was being born, their was a desperate need for a blood transfusion to save her life. So her father,Shin got one of his assassin friends,Koji the python to give her some of his blood. This saves her life but have her python abilities as well as features. She has red marks on her ears and face. Scales cover her a large portion of her stomach, her arms and ankles. Even most of her tail is cover in lovely crimson scales. Her tongue is completely like a snake and she loves to flicker it in the air. Her aquatic green eyes have a mysterious hypnotic effect on those who look too deeply into them. She is always found wearing yellow dress. She is the oldest twin by six seconds.

Bakula woke up a bit lazily as she hear whimpers not to far from her bed. She sighed and got up to her sister's bed, to soothe her from her nightmares. It would be one of those long nights, so she was best to get herself comfy. She peeled the blanket away from the shivering lump underneath.  Her eyes were full of sadness at the sight of her sister, crying in pure fear as her little paws clutches the pillow for comfort.

Normally Bakula would wake up her mother Yasu or even her father Shun. Though not for this nightmare, this was only fear that Chiyo only trusted Bakula with.  As their grandfather told them, a hero must fear absolutely nothing. To have a fear is to disgrace the Mao clan name. So if course Chiyo kept her fear of the dark to herself. Bakula only found out when the power when out and Chiyo was shaking like a leaf. Bakula vowed to help Chiyo through this fear and not tell a soul.

Chiyo woke up, her small golden orbs were filled to the brim with tears. She looked up to see she was in the arms of her sister. After a bit she realized that she had that nightmare again.  In her dream, it was all dark, their was a monster in the darkness hurting her. As it was attacking her, she could hear the taunts and insults from her family. Telling her she was nothing but a disgrace to the Mao clan for having fear. No matter how she tried to defend herself, all that did was cause the voices to get louder. It was hurting her heart. So whenever she woke up in her sister arms, she was thankfully it wasn't real.

"Bakula, can you stay with me....I-I had that dream again" The little bunny car hybrid hiccuped, clinging into her sister body

"Yeah, I think I can do that for my favorite sibling"Bakula hugged her tighter, running Chiyo head softly

" Thank you.. I am sorry for being a d-" Bakula stopped Chiyo from finishing that sentence

"Fear is in all of us, heroes too. I fear the cold, not because it could kill me but because I don't want to lose you in it. So whenever you get scared, you can always come to me about it. Ok?" Bakula uses her paw to wipe Chiyo tears as a few fell from her own eyes

Chiyo just nodded, hugging her dear sister.

Fear is within everyone. No one can always face their fears alone but with help from a friend, they can get through it to the point it doesn't scare them as much. Like how a child fear of a small thing can be solve with a loving comfort from a loved one. Fear is a enemy where love and support are it's main two weakness. So one day that child can face that very fear with the bravery forged through that love and support.
