Chapter 29

We've just boarded the plane, and I can barely contain my excitement. Our first stop is Dubai, and from there, we're heading to Malta—a dream destination of mine. Ever since Sayyid told me about the trip, I haven't been able to hide how thrilled I am. I've always wanted to visit Malta, and now it's finally happening.

We've settled into our seats. I claimed the window seat, of course, while Sayyid took the aisle. The hum of the cabin filled the air as passengers stowed their bags and settled in.

"Babe, ina son gum Nima," I said, nudging him playfully.

He passed me a piece of gum without missing a beat, and I muttered a quick, "Thank you."

Soon, the captain's voice came over the intercom with the usual announcements. As the engines roared to life and the plane began its ascent, Sayyid and I recited our duas quietly.

Once we were cruising, I pulled out my phone to scroll through Instagram. A few minutes in, something caught my eye, and I gasped, turning to Sayyid.

"Sayyid, do you know Umm Abdallah and her husband Hasanat? She's a YouTuber... Anyway, her husband just got married to her best friend—and she's okay with it!" I finished, still processing the shock.

Sayyid's eyes widened in surprise. "Are you serious? That's good mashallah. That's what they call selflessness. Look at that—her best friend needed a husband, and she gladly shared hers."

I gave him a sharp look, eyebrows raised. "Selflessness? Really? Ya za ayi ma! That's not even close to selflessness—it's just wrong. Completely wrong. It means the friendship wasn't even real to begin with!" I shook my head, still in disbelief.

Sayyid smirked, clearly amused by my reaction, and we dove deeper into the topic. From there, our conversation flowed, shifting from this story to other things happening in society and the world at large.

The hum of the plane and the glow of the cabin lights made everything feel surreal. As we continued to talk, I couldn't help but think about how this trip was already off to an unforgettable start.

We're now in Dubai Airport, and after a quick layover, we've boarded our flight to Malta. The excitement of the journey is slowly fading as the reality of the long flight sets in. We'll be in Malta in eight hours. Eight. Long. Hours.

Sayyid and I settled into our seats, each of us adjusting the pillows and blankets to get comfortable. We fastened our seatbelts as the captain made his usual announcements, and the gentle hum of the plane filled the cabin. The engines roared as we began our ascent, lifting off from the ground.

I glanced at Sayyid, my eyelids heavy with exhaustion. The thought of eight more hours in the air was almost too much to bear.

"Ahh, babe, I'm gonna crash," I said, struggling to stifle another yawn.

Sayyid, sensing my weariness, gave me a knowing smile. "Okay. I think I'm joining you soon," he replied, his voice already thick with sleep.

Without another word, I pulled the soft coverlet over my face, seeking refuge in the warmth of the blanket and the peaceful cocoon of the seat. The cabin lights were dimmed, the gentle vibrations of the plane lulling me into a state of relaxation. I could feel my body sinking into the seat, the exhaustion from the past few days catching up with me.

The world outside was a blur of clouds and sky, but I was too tired to care. Within minutes, the dull roar of the engines became a lullaby, and I was drifting into a deep, much-needed sleep.

I could hear the faint sound of Sayyid's breathing next to me, and with that comfort, my mind finally let go. The eight-hour journey suddenly didn't seem as daunting. Sleep took over, and the plane's rhythmic hum became the soundtrack to my dreams.

Malta 🇲🇹 Valletta
9am

We just arrived and are waiting for our luggage. Sayyid has gone to get them while I am just here sitting down. I am still so sleepy.

He shortly came with both our suitcases and we left for the hotel. We are staying at this amazing hotel 'the Westin Dragonara Resort' in st.julians. We arrived at the hotel after almost an hour, finally. We hopped out of the car hand in hand with my husband.

"Bongu! Jisimni Matthew." A buff old guy said with a grin. Though I didn't understand what he said in Maltese.

"Kif qed taghmel Matthew?" Sayyid replied, which made me gasp.

I smacked his arm playfully. "You can speak Maltese?"

He winked. "Yep, Thought I told you?"

I shook my head no. Matthew walked us to our suite and we followed him. We reached a door, he used a keycard and opened it.

He took our luggage in and we followed. I couldn't help but admire the place, it's so beautiful. The concierge left after showing us around the place. I kept my bag on the sofa, still admiring the place. "This place is so beautiful"

"Not as beautiful as you, baby." I felt his strong arms around my waist, his face in the crook of my neck.

I sighed and turned around so we could face each other. I looked into his beautiful eyes, there was nothing there except for pure love, adoration and desire...for me.

I put my hands around his neck, pulled his face down and captured his lips with mine. I pulled away but his big hands held my face, trapping me. Then his lips began to move. This kiss wasn't like any other. It was better. Softer, gentle bites, love, tease

"You taste like bubblegum." He said, when we pulled away.

I looked at him. "Bubble gum really? That's not even romantic"

He smirked. "Let me try again..you taste like butter"

I eyed him. "Butter? Really? You need to try harder next time." With that, I pulled away and walked to the bed.

I sighed laying down on the bed..I am so sleepy and hungry.

Sayyid has entered the bathroom to have a quick shower before we head out to eat breakfast. While I on the other hand am too lazy to even have my bath.

I opened my luggage to look for something to wear. I settled on a white palazzo and blue off shoulder blouse from Zara. I dressed up and picked up my straw hat.

Sayyid came and got dressed up in a plain white long sleeve button up shirt and light brown jeans shorts.

"Oya pose lemme snap you" He said

I smiled and he snapped. "Your smile looks forced"

I smiled again. "How about now?"

He gave a thumbs-up and snapped.

After the little photo session, we went down to the pool side to have brunch. We sat down and the waiter came and asked us what we wanted to eat. I ordered a bowl of salad while Sayyid ordered Maltese breakfast. We ate over a conversation and decided to take a walk around the area.

We are back to the hotel room and I am laying on the bed, tiredly. We took a very long walk, we walked all around this area and it was so beautiful. Sayyid is taking a shower because he claims that he is too sweaty, while I on the other hand is too lazy to get up.

Throughout the walk, I had been complaining to him that I was tired, I was gonna faint. But well it was worth it. Because the city of Valletta is so beautiful.

Sayyid came out of the bathroom. I lazily dragged my feet to have my shower.
After a few decent minutes, the bathroom door opens and steam wafts out into the bedroom. I step out in a white towel that is clung to my body and I am using one hand to hold it up.

I smile at him as I exit and wander over to the closet that holds our clothes. I stand out for a few moments as I fumble with underwear in one hand.

Third person's POV

He couldn't stop himself. Pushing himself up from the bed, he slowly made his way toward her. The pull he felt toward her was so intense; he just had to touch her. He needed to feel her skin against his.

Bending down slightly, his lips brushed against her shoulder. Aidah instantly whipped her head at the unexpected contact. He trailed kisses from her shoulder to the base of her neck. She let out a quiet breath, tilting her head in the opposite direction to give him better access.

His hand slipped into her free one, noticing her fingers gripping her towel tightly. "Are you afraid of what I'm going to do, baby?" he asked with a smile, placing a kiss just below her earlobe.

She swallowed and shook her head. "No."

He gently turned her around so she faced him. Her face, still damp from the shower, looked radiant. His lips met hers, and he began to guide her toward the bed. She followed, their kisses slow and soft. Scooping her up in his arms, he placed her gently on the bed, her towel still intact.

She looked up at him with wide, curious eyes, and his heart nearly burst. She was breathtakingly beautiful, mashaAllah.

When she woke up, she found herself sprawled across Sayyid. Peeking up at him through her lashes, she noticed he was using his phone with one hand, while his other arm held her close.

She gently stroked his arm, drawing his attention. He looked down at her and smiled. "How are you feeling?"

She smiled back. "Amazing."

Turning to face her fully, he wrapped both arms around her and snuggled his face into her neck. "You smell amazingly sexy," he murmured.

She raised an eyebrow. "Are you serious?"

He chuckled. "Dead serious." He kissed her nose.

"So, let's talk," he said.

She sighed softly. "About what?"

"How many kids do you want?"

She smiled. "I've always wanted twin girls as my firstborns, then a boy, and maybe another boy after that."

"I'd love that too. I can't wait to see little Aidahs and little Sayyids running around." He kissed her softly.

"Me too," she said when they pulled apart.

He looked at her, his smile as dazzling as ever. She tilted her head. "What?"

"Nothing. I just love you so much, Aidah."

She blushed lightly. "I love you too, Sayyid."

Bringing his lips back to hers, he kissed her again, leaving her breathless and overwhelmed by his love.
