It has been two weeks since Maryam's wedding, and only two weeks remain until Aicha's celebration. Everyone has returned to their regular routines as the preparations for Aicha's wedding continue. I plan to leave for Florida a week after Aicha's wedding, insha'Allah, to attend my graduation and to shop for my wedding. I also informed Ammi of my desire to participate in selecting items for my future home, and she graciously agreed.

Sayyid's family visited last week for the official 'Tambaya and sa rana' ceremony. They have set the date for June next year, insha'Allah, coinciding with Yassine's wedding.

Today, we are attending a polo tournament. Ya Hammad, Samad, and Sayyid's team will be competing, so we are all going to support them

I dressed in a navy blue button-up shirt paired with white mom jeans and Dior sneakers. I styled a blue and white Hermès scarf into a chic turban after quickly brushing my hair into a low bun. Grabbing my navy blue Lady Dior bag and phone, I left my room and headed to the living room, where Mahmoud, Sultana, and Yassine were waiting for me. Sultana, our cousin and my paternal aunt's daughter, arrived yesterday from Kaduna and will be staying with us until Aicha's wedding, insha'Allah.

As I entered the living room, I was greeted by three annoyed faces staring back at me. I flashed them a cheeky smile. "I'm sorry, let's go." We stepped outside to the parking lot, climbed into Mahmoud's car, and zoomed out of the compound into the bustling streets of Abuja.

We soon arrived at the venue, the Guards Polo Club, which was bustling with people. As we entered, we ran into Ruqaiya and Sauda. We decided to go in together and found our seats.

The game had already begun by the time we arrived, with Sayyid's team in the lead. It was a six-chukker match, and they were currently in the second chukker.

I settled comfortably between Ruqaiya and Yassine, while Sultana and Sauda took their seats in front of us. To my surprise, Mahmoud vanished as soon as we entered the venue, leaving us to wonder where he had gone.

"Seriously, this game is so confusing," Ruqaiya complained.

"Yeah, I feel the same way. One minute I understand what's happening, and the next, I don't," I agreed.

We sat in silence for a moment until Yassine broke the quiet. "Aidah, what number is Sayyid?"

"I have no idea," I replied, applying some lip gloss. "Ruqaiya, what number is your brother?" I asked her.

"I think he's number four... yes, four," Ruqaiya said, and I nodded in agreement. We continued to watch the game, with the Timber Wolves in the lead, as expected. Yassine excused herself to join her fiancé, leaving Ruqaiya and me together. Sauda and Sultana went off to grab something to drink.

"It's like I know you from somewhere else, Aidah," Ruqaiya said, drawing my attention.

"Really? Where?" I asked with a chuckle.

"I don't know... Which secondary school did you attend?" she asked, her curiosity evident.

''El-Amin Minna" I replied.

"That's it! I went to that school too!" Ruqaiya exclaimed.

With that, we dove into a conversation about secondary school. Ruqaiya reminded me that I was in the same class as her brother, Najib. "Oh yes, I remember him! We were so close back then; we were like best friends," I said, laughing lightly.

"And now you're becoming his sister-in-law... what a small world," Ruqaiya said with a warm smile.

"I know, right? Where is he now?" I asked, curious to find out.

''He's in Brighton. For his masters" She replied.

"What is he studying again? I remember he wanted to become a farmer, right?" I said, and we both laughed.

She laughed and shook her head. "A farmer? Najib has his issues, wallahi."

The game was over, and the Timberwolves had won, as always. Ya Hammad, Sayyid, Samad, and a few of their friends approached us in the parking lot. "Hey baby," I heard someone call from behind me.

I smiled and turned, already knowing who it was. "Hey babe, you were incredible out there."

He surprised me by wrapping his arms around me in front of everyone. "Sayyid, we're in public, and besides, we're not married yet!" I said, feeling a blush creep up my neck from the unexpected intimacy.

"So?" he smirked, a teasing smile on his face.

Ya Hammad smacked him on the arm. "Dude, she's my sister, not your wife!"

Sayyid chuckled. "Yet."

Ya Hammad shook his head. "You're so shameless, wallahi''

After chatting and congratulating the guys for a few minutes, we excused ourselves and left the polo club. The guys were coming over for dinner at my house later, so they'd see each other then. I had also invited Ruqaiya and Sauda to join us for the meal.

We got home shortly after, prayed Maghreb, and returned to our usual routines before dinner. I went upstairs to my room, entered the bathroom, performed wudu, and then came out to pray. I changed into a purple RTW bubu and gathered my long hair into a messy bun.

I decided to check in on my stepmom, Yaya, since Ammi wasn't around. She was in the U.S. with Baba, Ya Ibrahim, Mairam, Ya Bebi, Ya Ummi, Ya Mamma, and Yakaka for Adda Niimah's graduation, which was today. And on top of that, my Adda Niimah is pregnant! I'm going to be an aunt again! I'm feeling so emotional.

Nadia is back in school, while Kami is in Florida preparing for graduation, which happens to be the same day as mine. Ayman and Abdallah are also in school, over in the UK.

So, it's just Mahmoud, Yassine, me, Yaya, and Sultana in the house, along with the maids, of course. The rest will return before Aicha's wedding begins.

I knocked and entered Yaya's room, finding her on the praying mat, reciting the Holy Qur'an. I sat on the bed, waiting for her to finish. While I was there, I took out my phone and noticed a message from Adda Niimah.

She sent me a picture of herself, followed by one with Ya Musty. Niimah is like the most beautiful gem in the family. She has the prettiest hazel eyes, mashallah, and doesn't resemble anyone—neither Baba nor Ammi.

In our family, only Niimah didn't attend Lynn University; she went to Harvard instead. Yep, she's definitely a smart one! Ammi went to Lynn for her undergraduate degree and then to Savannah College of Art and Design for her master's. She's also graduating soon.

Adda Niimah – graduation was so much fun today! You missed it!!

Me- I know right!! Congrats baby mama. Xx

Adda niimah- Aww thank you little sister, I miss you like crazy aswear!

Me- I miss you more, how is ya musty? And everyone?

Adda Niimah - He's fine Alhamdulillah and they're also fine

Me- Mashallah, Adda Niimah please get me that Chanel handbag I showed you and give Mairam to bring for me.

Adda Niimah- Sure, inshallah.

Aidah- Thank you! You're the best. Xx

Adda Niimah- Yeah no p...gotta go bye!

''Aidah?" Yaya called.

''Na'am yaya, nda dubdo?'' I greeted her i Kanuri

'''Klewa slai?'' She asked.

''I'm fine Alhamdulilah''

''When did you get back?'' She asked.

''Just before Maghreb, yanzun nan''

"Oh, okay. How was the match? Who won?" Yaya asked.

"Yaya, su ya Hammad ne mana," I said with a light laugh.

Yaya and I chatted for a while, then I left the room and headed downstairs to the living room, where I heard Khalifa's laughter.

"Your laugh is so annoying, Khalifa," I said playfully, slumping down on the couch next to Yassine. He stood up and came over to where I was sitting, and before I knew it, he sat on top of me and started tickling me.

"Khalifa, stop! What the hell?" I said between laughs. Seriously, this guy—I'm his older sister!

He let go of me and returned to his couch. I felt someone watching me, so I looked toward the door and saw Ya Hammad and Sayyid leaning against it, with Ruqaiya and Sauda behind them.

Suddenly, I heard laughter all around me—those little runts! Yassine, Sultana, and Mahmoud were laughing so hard. Mischievous kids!

"It's not funny, I swear," I said, trying to frown while avoiding Sayyid's gaze.

''You should have seen your face," Yassine said, still laughing.

"Shut up, Yas," I said, giving my sister a playful glare.

"Are you guys done?" Ya Hammad asked, a teasing smile on his face.

"Ya Hammad, seriously, look at how they embarrassed me in front of my fiancé and sisters-in-law," I said, more like a whine.

They all burst into laughter again, and now even Sayyid joined in. I ignored them and left the living room. I heard someone behind me and turned around, attempting to frown at him.

He was dressed in gray jeans and a black button-up shirt, wearing black Dolce and Gabbana slippers. His left wrist was adorned with a Rolex watch, and he had a brown Hermes bracelet on his right wrist. He looked absolutely dashing.

"Hey!" He snapped his fingers in front of my face. "Stop checking me out; it's haram!"

I raised an eyebrow. "Me? Checking you out?" I said, then walked to the other living room where no one was around.

"Don't lie to me, babe," he teased, following me.

"Why would I check you out, Sayyid Remawa?" I asked, raising an eyebrow with my hands on my hips.

"Well, I don't know," he shrugged, gesturing around himself with his hands.

I chuckled. "Oh please, in your dreams."

I walked him back to the other living room and then went up to my room to put on a scarf or turban. After quickly doing that, I made my way back downstairs. I ran into Sultana on the way. "Are the rest of the guys here?" I asked her.

"Yeah, they just arrived," Sultana replied. I nodded and walked past her into the living room, where I could hear loud laughter and voices.

I entered the living room and spotted three familiar faces—Ya Hammad's friends. I knew them all well since they had schooled in the States, with one of them attending Lynn University. After exchanging pleasantries, I sat down next to Yassine on a two-seater.

A few minutes later, the guys stood up and headed to the dining room for dinner. Ruqaiya, Sauda, Yassine, Sultana, and I went to the other dining room for our own meal. I sat next to Ruqaiya, with Sauda sitting opposite me, Yassine beside me, and Sultana on my right.

We helped ourselves to a variety of dishes. I, on the other hand, served myself pieces of chicken from the casserole dish.

Dinner is over, and everyone has left. It was a really fun time, filled with conversations about so many things, including our upcoming wedding! Now, I'm in my room getting ready for bed, feeling utterly exhausted. I changed into my pajama shirt and pants, switched off the lights, and climbed into my super cozy bed.

I was reciting my adhkar when I heard a notification on my phone. I checked it and saw a message from Sayyid.

S.R- Goodnight baby. Dream of me, I love you😘

Me- Night babe. Love you more and more

With that, I placed my phone on the bedside table and resumed reciting my adhkar, letting the calming words wash over me. The rhythmic repetition helped clear my mind of the day's events, and soon enough, I felt my eyelids growing heavier. Before I knew it, I had fallen fast asleep, enveloped in the warmth of my cozy bed, drifting off into a peaceful slumber.
