Screams of terror rang out in every direction. Asmodeus winced as they started getting louder as a building crashed. He looked around, the place didn't seem familiar at all, where was he? He covered his face, as he couldn't breathe with all the smoke and dust around him. He saw a man preaching amongst all the commotion.
"The gods are angry! The apocalypse is beginning! The only way to divert this disaster is to pray and make offerings!" He yelled out. Nobody seemed to be listening to him, though. Soon after, lightning struck him. Asmodeus was quite confused, was he not in the kingdom of gods? Was he in the land of humans? What was happening? Suddenly, a woman ran to Asmodeus and fell to her knees.
"Help me! Please... I don't think I can survive like this! Somebody, please help me!" Why was this random woman talking to him? He took his hands off his face.
"That..." Asmodeus pointed to the woman, "Sounds like a you problem," Asmodeus pointed to himself, "Not a me problem." Asmodeus immediately regretted uncovering his face. He had just inhaled a lot of dust. He started coughing, though deep down, he felt it was worth it. Even though he began to lose consciousness, he could still hear that woman's screams for mercy.
He bolted up from his bed, shivering. That was quite a nightmare, although, for some reason, he could still hear someone screaming. It took a moment for him to realize that the screaming was coming from another room in the palace.
"Oh, my." He realized they were from his mom. He slowly got up, not wanting to make any noise as he got out of his bed. He slowly creaked the door open, and got out, walking stiffly in the direction of the shouts. He reached his father's bedroom; the door was slightly open. The shouts ceased as he peeked through the crack.
He honestly could not comprehend what was happening. All he knew was that he had to be perfectly silent, no matter what.
"Namah, you dirty slut! How could you do this to me! To us!" His father, Avestan roared as he threw his wife into the wall, causing a fairly large dent. Asmodeus winced as he watched his mother slide onto the ground, coughing up blood. That must've hurt. Part of him wanted to go back to his room, yet the other part begged him to stay and his mother's brutal torture. To his dismay, Asmodeus heard annoying little footsteps behind him. He knew exactly who they belonged to.
"Asmodeus? What's happening?" His little brother, Rael cried in his stupid little annoying voice.
"Oh, shut up you brat. Mom's getting what she deserves. Apparently. I'm quite confused myself." He whispered back. Little dumb Rael started crying, as he shoved Asmodeus out of the way.
"Mommy!" Rael cried out, running into the room.
"YOU INSOLENT BRUTE! HOW DARE YOU COME HERE!" Avestan yelled. He took Rael and was about to kill him when Namah spoke up.
"STOP! Please.. take me instead! He's done nothing, spare him!" She cried while reaching out for her son, who was now whimpering. "Please... He's your son..!"
"THIS PIECE OF FILTH HAS NEVER BEEN MY SON AND NEVER WILL BE!" Avestan bellowed. He threw Rael out of the room with mercy. He hit a wall, going unconscious. Asmodeus kept in a chuckle. He couldn't believe he was actually related to that dumbass. This family drama was getting interesting.
"Avestan, all I did was love-"
"Shut up! Just... Shut up!" Avestan shouted. Asmodeus turned his head as his mother's final screams made their way around the land.
Asmodeus looked back to see his father panting, mother nowhere to be seen. She must have gotten what she deserved, whatever she did. Now that the whole scene was over, Asmodeus waddled over to his father.
"..so.." he started. "What was that all about..?" Avestan silenced him, sending a glare. That meant that he couldn't ask question. Asmodeus nodded his head and returned back to his room to resume his rest.
It was definitely the right thing to do, at least, that's what Avestan kept telling himself. He couldn't bear sleeping in the bedroom after the pre mentioned unfortunate series of events. The first thing he did was have the room obliterated. He sealed the empty space and all the remaining painful memories were gone forever.
