Hello everyone,

This is Sakshi, your host for the day. We have read quite a few tales till date and you might or might not have feel connected to them. Keeping that aside, let's talk about today's tale.

Let's hear a teenager's version of seeing parents fighting in front of them.

I'll keep myself as anonymous, I don't know where to start but all I know is its affecting me real bad. Neither can I talk to them, nor can I stop thinking about it. Everytime I crave for a good family time, the disturbances kick in. Seeing my parents fight in front of my own eyes is the last thing I would have ever wanted.

The first time it happened I thought that would be the last time, but it went on and on. Amidst their cold War, I became a victim. I don't feel like eating or doing anything. I try to study, but all that comes in front of my eyes is them fighting. Each word that I hear remains in my mind.

I try to brace myself and stand up strong, but it seems quite not possible. I keep praying and hoping that this would end too and we would be that happy family with many more happy memories. It feels so sad to see them like that, it breaks me internally. Tears used to flow down my eyes initially, but as days passed by they don't anymore. I just stand as a witness trying to hold myself from breaking down.

Many times, I tried to talk with them and it gets difficult for me to take one of their side. They both are my parents and choosing one of them would be next to impossible. I don't know who else to reach out and talk about it. I just feel so lonely and left out at all the times. It feels like there is no coming out from this phase and I don't have words left to express my feelings.

Seeing parents fight in front of us, breaks us. When we have to choose one amongst them it's even more worse at times in some cases.

To everyone out there, this will pass too. You'll get over this as well. More power and positivity to you 🤍
