Listen that'll be a little different and more of an add-on to what I have previously said after a deeper dive into this character so let's get on with it!

That'll be like a compilation of my headcanons for the character which includes the angle I tend to go for with this character.

From the canon:
- It's implied that he had a brief romance with Susie Campbell; however, I'm going to emphasize that implied because it may have been unrequited.

- After Sammy's death in chapter five, the lost ones and searchers in the harbor came to attack you, Allison, and Tom in a massive group. Why was Sammy holding them back before he died? They must have looked up to him, even if he wasn't the best.

- in canon, the ink acts as a parasite taking over the victim's mind and body. I'm gonna throw in an extra layer of ✨spice✨ and say that before the ink really takes full control of someone's body, the victim is still aware of what's going on. They're essentially trapped in their own minds until the ink finally fully consumes them. After he had an unfortunate encounter with the ink, Sammy had to deal with this on top of everything else so that's wonderful :/

This all my version of him so uh yeah straying from the canon a bit:

- He cared for and still cares for his workers. Though he can't remember which ones were once in the music department, so he took them all under his wing. While he did sacrifice them to his inky lord, I'm also going to lean to the parasite ink so in the early days he hated every moment but was overcome by the desire for more.

- also because you know I ship norman and Sammy, the two had a secret relationship. However, the ink infection was in the way and he hated it- Sammy remembers that he is the reason that Norman has a projector head and is less than a shell of who he used to be.

- if he's able to get the parasitic ink (either with a serum or by removing himself from the source aka the studio), then he'll remember more and more of the things that he's done.

- In his own, twisted way he does want to keep his flock safe, and that's what the Lost Harbor does.

the more I dive into BATIM's behind the scenes lore and the more I connect dots, the more headcanons I'll come up with.

I will say, the comparison of the ink acting as a parasite does help me on so many levels (why did sammy go crazy after getting initially infected? why did this specific ink do so many terrible things? etc.)
