“I am Muriel, I am the goddess of this island”, Muriel introduced herself to Juvia when Juvia’s body glowed during the incident with the Water’s Tear.

“So, why do you want me to help you control the Water’s Tear?”, Juvia asked.

“I don’t know how much time has passed but I died in this island believing that the man I swore eternity to, betrayed me”, she said.

“What happened?”, Juvia asked.

“His name is Earwyn Anidrew. He’s the only person in the island who can see me, though at that time I know nothing that one such as him is a real wizard. He never realized he was one until I told him. He has a brother named Eanri and he can’t see me the way he does. I fell in love with him the same as he fell in love with me but I was crazy over him even before he confessed his love for me when he saw me wandering around the lake outside that cave. Years ago, we swore together that once the night of the New Moon comes, he would surrender everything to me. Though we agreed that it will only happen once his health has failed him or when he became an old man and can’t do anything but Earwyn is a stubborn man. He told me that once the night of the New Moon comes, he will come with me at his current age. I loved him so much that I can’t do anything but agree. In return I told him my secret”, Muriel was close to tears.

“What secret was that?”, Juvia asked.

“I did something that a goddess shouldn’t do. One is falling in love with a human but I made another taboo. I shared the only secret gods and goddesses cannot share to anyone especially to humans. You see, there’s a vulnerable time for us to die in our earthly forms. I didn’t know what came over me to tell him that secret but I guess I just trust him so much. When the night of the New Moon came, someone else came to our meeting place. He was the one who killed me and took out my heart. The legends about humans eating a goddess’ heart bring immortality to them. That part was indeed true but when he ate mine he died. For some reason, I don’t know how it is possible. Maybe Earwyn did more than I thought he did. I believed Earwyn betrayed me by telling him my secret and for not coming to our meeting place but….why do I feel that Earwyn never did all that?”, Muriel started crying at that point.

“Is that so? But why was the island destroyed?”, Juvia asked.

“Before I took my last breath, my hatred for Earwyn was too much. The last drop of tear that came out of my eyes solidified. That was the birth of the Water’s Tear. That tear bares all my hatred and agony for Earwyn that it made it have its own soul. The part of me that hates him gave birth to another me that chained me inside. I wanted to save the island but the Water’s Tear prevented me to do so. That’s when the island was destroyed. The survivors never came back”, she explained.

“Then what happened to Earwyn?”, Juvia asked once more.

“I heard he died soon after my death. I never did know what happened to him. The only thing I heard about his brother is that he was living far away from here and that he’s looking for my last remnant which is the Water’s Tear. I didn’t know how he knows about it but I don’t want any more people to die because of me, that’s why I was doing everything I can from letting the Water’s Tear leave the island. That’s when you people came here. Your feelings are the same as mine when I am with Earwyn. The Water’s Tear sensed it that’s why it reacted and possessed your body as well. Juvia, you have to control the Water’s Tear!”, Muriel looked at her straight with determination.

“Alright. Juvia will help you. Juvia needed to come back as well. Juvia will do everything she can to control the Water’s Tear and go back to Gray-sama”, Juvia announced.

“Gray-sama?”, Muriel asked.

“Yes, Juvia’s most beloved! Juvia loves Gray-sama from the bottom of her heart. It was Gray-sama who helped Juvia have a new viewpoint in life and join Fairy Tail….but….Juvia left it recently, but….but!....Juvia will go back once again! Well, with Juvia’s current situation now……I guess it’s going to be hard…”, Juvia was going back and forth from her cheerful appearance to her saddened demeanour and then slumped to her dilemma. However, Muriel laughed from how she was reacting as of the moment.

“You know what, you are one weird girl but somehow, that makes me want to entrust everything to you. I’m happy to have met you Juvia”, Muriel laughed and praised her.

“Juvia’s pleased to meet you as well”, Juvia said.

“I hate to say this but I never thought I’ll fight that body you possessed as an enemy once again. But, I’ll say this to you first. You took the wrong body to possess.”, Gray readied himself for his attack. “Hey Juvia! If you can hear me I’m about to take you out you hear?!”

Muriel blushed despite the fact that Juvia’s consciousness is far from awareness.

“Why the heck am I blushing for!”, Muriel held her reddened face. “This man. Don’t tell me he’s….”

“Gray-sama?!”, Juvia’s consciousness was starting to show up. Muriel noticed it.

“What the! Juvia?!”, Muriel can’t believe her yes. “How did you…Don’t tell me that man…”

“Yes! That is Juvia’s beloved Gray-sama!”, Juvia shouted like a fan girl.

“How about it Water’s Tear!”, Muriel said with a mocking voice. The Water’s Tear which was her negative side was angered by this.

“Earwyn….”, Muriel started to tear up but the Water’s Tear kept interfering her. “Betrayal, Hatred! Hate him!”, the Water’s Tear chanted to her.

“Why are you stopping me!”, Muriel’s other self screeched through her frozen state. She was completely overpowered by the Water’s Tear.

“I never intend to let you escape that body. Even if you make it bleed as much as you wanted, you will never leave that body”, Gray said with determination. “But before you do so, I’ll freeze you first”

“Muriel-san, you have to stop please! Juvia can’t hold on much longer”, Juvia cried out, trying her best to stop her. She was holding her with everything she has. “Please, hang on just a bit longer, Juvia is sure that Gray-sama and Lyon-sama will do something!”

“Ahhh! The Water’s Tear is…..Juvia I don’t think I can stop my negative self much longer. If that happens, you have to do the last option I gave you”, Muriel said. “Huh!”

“DIE!!!”, Muriel’s negative self also known as the Water’s Tear snapped and exploded the magic she was holding inside.

“Juvia! Stop me now! Please you have to do it now!”, Muriel begged as she was being held down by Juvia. “If you don’t stop me I don’t know what will happen to them so you have to kill me now!”, Muriel said. Juvia’s eyes widened as to what she just said.

“GRAY!”, Lyon ran as fast as he can towards Gray. Gray was taken into surprise as to what Muriel just did. Juvia looked at him with worry.

“GRAY-SAMAAAA!!!!”, Juvia’s voice echoed despite all the explosions and waters.

“I will send you all to oblivion! I will sink down this island to the depths of the underworld!”, the Water’s Tear shouted out. The island shook but the sinking didn’t happen. The waves that were supposed to kill Gray had stopped mid-way. “What the!”

“Lyon!”, Gray looked at him with amazement. Lyon was using his Ice Magic to stop the waves with everything he can. His stance was almost mimicking Ul’s last ultimate move, Ice Shell. “What are you doing Lyon! Don’t tell me….”

“Don’t worry, I’m just releasing my power in a much effective way. I won’t use it if it means sacrificing myself. I promised you after all that I will never end up like Ul using the magic she taught us”, Lyon replied with a. exhausted smirk.

“Why you!”, the Water’s Tear is persistent to kill them so he made the pressure higher and made the waters hotter than before. The water that Lyon froze started to crack.

“Gray move it! I don’t want this but you have to save Juvia instead of me”, Lyon said while struggling to stop the waters. “If there’s someone who will make her happy, it’s you! It’s always been you! Save her now!”

“Are you crazy? Ul taught us together. I think saving a girl using the magic she taught us together will definitely make her proud”, Gray helped Lyon freeze the waters. “Besides, this hot water, I encountered it before but the water’s heat she emanated at that time is much hotter than this”, Gray smirked at the memory during the Phantom’s attack. “As for Juvia, I’ll save her myself”

“You are really something Gray”, Lyon said and focused to what they were doing.

“Amazing…The island is not sinking”, Muriel said weakly.

“Juvia’s friends are helping us. Lucy-san and the others, they are doing what they can, so Muriel-san, you have to try harder as well alright? You can’t die twice. I’m sure Earwyn-san had it worse too. You saw what Lucy-san and Gray-sama had seen from his journal right? Earwyn-san never betrayed you. He cherishes you the most that’s why he made you that shrine inside the cave. He used his magic so that your heart will never be used for immortality when that wizard came. He protected you and stayed with you even if he knows you are dead. He used all his remaining lifespan to keep you from disappearing completely. His remaining magic was still stored for you. Earwyn fulfilled his promise and his vow for you”, Juvia said with tears in her eyes.

“Earwyn…Earwyn…oh Earwyn…I’ve been blinded by the feeling of hatred for you. I’m so sorry to have thought of that my Earwyn! You never did betray me, that I am aware now. Earwyn…..Earwyn…..I wanted to see you, one last time. I really wanted to see you, maybe that’s why…that’s why my negative feelings are doing these for my desire to see you once again…..The Water’s Tear…no…I caused all this!”, Muriel cried as she thinks of him.

“Gray-sama…please…”, Juvia thought. At that moment they both glowed brightly.
