1st Droplet of Water: Lady’s Talk. No Boys Allowed

“Why don’t you ask Lucy?”, Erza asked Juvia. Erza, who was Juvia’s last choice to ask for advice has recommended Lucy.

“Lucy?”, Juvia asked.

“Yes, from what I see, she’s somewhat like you, though her feelings are quite concealed right now and she probably don’t notice it yet, but I’m sure that if there’s anyone who could help you better than us, it’s Lucy. Why not try talking to her?”, Erza said.

“I…I’ll try”, Juvia said hesitantly.

“Don’t worry, I’m sure she’ll welcome you with open arms”, Erza assured her. This made Juvia felt relieve for the moment.

The next morning……

 “Lu-Lucy-san…”, Juvia approached Lucy with an embarrassed face. Lucy can’t get it why Juvia would look like that since she was seeing her as a rival for Gray.

“What is it Juvia?”, Lucy asked.

“I need to talk to you about something. Are you free tonight?”, Juvia said awkwardly.

“Eh?”, Lucy was taken aback, it was strange for Juvia to ask her something. “Alright”, Lucy said.

“Can I go to your apartment?”, Juvia asked again.

“Oh sure, it’s….”, Lucy stopped when she thought of something. “Crap! What if Natsu and Happy barged into my apartment again!”, Lucy thought. “Umm Juvia, how about this? What if I go to Fairy Hills instead and talk to you room?”, Lucy held her shoulders.

“It’s fine with me but isn’t that much trouble on your part? I mean I asked you a favour so I should be the one to…”, Juvia stopped when Lucy shook her head.

“No it’s alright. Besides, I have a feeling someone is going to interrupt our talk tonight if we did it in my apartment so….”, Lucy explained. Juvia got what Lucy was trying to say. She looked over to Natsu who was fighting with Gray at the moment. Seeing Gray, she blushed.

“Alright, then let’s go together”, Juvia said.

That night…….

“Well then, I’ll head first!”, Lucy waved her teammates goodbye as she walks towards the door.

“Hey Lucy, wait for us! We’ll go with you!”, Natsu tried to stop her.

“Sorry, I need to go somewhere. If you guys want to, you can occupy my apartment for the night. I’ll go now!”, Lucy threw her key to Natsu which he caught perfectly with a questionable look. He doesn’t need the key to her apartment since he doesn’t use the door in the first place. “Oh by the way, don’t you dare follow me okay?!”, Lucy demanded before resuming her walk.

“Where is she going?”, Happy asked as he look after Lucy.

“Don’t know but……”, Natsu’s eyes widened when he saw someone waiting for her at the door.

“Did you wait long?”, Natsu heard Lucy ask the person.

“Ah no, shall we go?”, the person told her. Side by side they walked out the guild doors.

“WHAT? JUVIA?!”, Natsu’s voice shrieked loudly and all of the guild members looked at him and to the two people who just left.

“JUVIA AND LUCY ARE WALKING TOGETHER?!”, the others shouted as well.

“What is going on here?”, Gray asked.

“Gray! Juvia and Lucy…”, Max started.

“What about them?”, asked Gray.

“They are walking together”, said Nab.

“So what if they do?”, Gray said.

“They are walking together, side by side. I mean like best friends do! Juvia never walks together with someone like that! Usually she always walks a few steps behind. That or she’s hiding somewhere far and following like a stalker”, Natsu and Happy said in unison.

“WHAT?!”, Gray blurted out.

“You could come in”, Juvia said as she make way for Lucy to enter her room.

“Sorry for intruding”, Lucy said as respect for the owner. She’s puzzled as to how Juvia was treating her. Juvia wasn’t like this to her after all.

“Umm, what is it that you want to talk with me about?”, Lucy broke the silence that has been filling the room for 5 minutes straight.

Of all the people Juvia was scared to talk to, it was Lucy. It was not because she hated her about her accusations of Lucy being her love rival, it was duly because she’s afraid of what Lucy may tell her. After all, she took part in kidnapping her before during the Phantom, she accused her for stealing Gray, and glared daggers at her whenever she’s near him; but that part was just her selfish little self. Lucy never did those things, she never did anything that could make her feel as she did to her. Lucy was kind to her, in fact, from all the girls in Fairy Tail, Lucy accepted her first, so why not try doing it right? After all, Lucy will definitely help anyone as long as she can.

“I’m sorry for troubling you like this…..but….I wanted to talk to you….about Gray-sama”, Juvia said as if she just threw a bomb to Lucy.

“Hey Gray, why did you suddenly drag me into this?”, Natsu asked as they hid themselves from the bush in Fairy Hills. “This is the girls’ dormitory, we aren’t allowed in here. Besides, Lucy told us we can’t follow her”, Natsu said.

“Aye sir”, Happy said as well, floating above them.

“Hide yourself!”, Gray pulled Happy by his tail and held his mouth to keep him shut. “This is the first time your head worked normally flamehead but we’re here to know what’s the deal between those two”, Gray explained.

“Shut up you stripper. Lucy isn’t into something like that! Your habit is as perverted as your thoughts”, Natsu said.

“Take that back you idiot! I’m not thinking about that! I was thinking what’s happening and why is Juvia all friendly with Lucy now”, said Gray.

“Why don’t you just ask them tomorrow? I don’t want to be caught in a girl’s dormitory especially by Lucy so we’ll head back now”, Natsu grabbed Happy with him.

“No you don’t!”, Gray grabbed his scarf which caused Natsu to fall back. “You will help me on this one. Who knows if those two are planning on having a mission with just the two of them? Why are they secretive huh? Are you not curious of what Lucy’s hiding?”, Gray asked. Suddenly, Natsu’s ears perked up. He can hear Lucy’s faint voice and Juvia’s whining and some sobbing as well.

“Alright twinkle toes. But if Lucy ever saw us, I’ll…”, Natsu warned him.

“Yeah, yeah, let’s go!”, Gray said and they all walk towards Fairy Hills premises.

“They’re in there”, Happy pointed out to the fifth window on the right.

“Good job Happy”, Gray said. “Lift me up first”, he said.

Happy helped them and they went inside a dimly lighted room beside where Juvia and Lucy are.

“I see. How long is it?”, Lucy asked.

“Since Phantom attacked Fairy Tail for you I believe”, Juvia said. “Gray-sama won’t hand you over no matter what, that’s why, Juvia think of you as her love rival!”, the beginning of her “rival for Gray-sama mode” has been triggered yet again.

“You know Juvia, you should really stop thinking about me as your love rival because I’m not and I will never be, don’t worry.”, Lucy said.

“You will never be? What do you mean by that?”, Juvia asked but when Lucy kept silent, she somehow had an idea about it. Erza’s words flashed back in her mind.

“Lucy is somewhat like you. Her feelings are also concealed right now”, Erza’s words rang in her mind.

“Gray-sama…..does not recognize Juvia’s feelings. Although Juvia only wanted to…..”, Juvia was already sobbing as Lucy stroked her back to help her calm down.

“You know Juvia, I already know about your feelings for him. It hurts when you can’t convey your feelings properly right? But you know, I kind of envy you”, Lucy said. At that instant, Juvia stopped crying and looked at her. Lucy was just smiling at her.

“Why?”, she asked.

“You can say your feelings to him without hesitation. You are true to yourself and you don’t care what others will think of you. You’re really brave Juvia. I envy that part of you”, Lucy said warmly.

“Lucy…you…”, Juvia stuttered. “It must be Natsu. Yes it’s definitely Natsu”

“Don’t mind me!”, Lucy shook his head and waved her hands in rejection. “But you know what Juvia, why don’t you try to talk to Gray head on? I guess he’s just….”, Lucy stopped when suddenly….

“KYAAAAH! HELP ME!!!”, Levy’s screaming voice was heard.

The door to Levy’s room opened with a bang. Lucy, Juvia and Erza were the first ones to arrive since both their rooms were the closest.

“Levy what is it?”, Erza demanded. She was only in a very skimpy shorts and a black tank top.

“Someone was in my room! They escaped through the window!”, Levy pointed to her window while gripping the sheets of her blanket. Erza and Juvia looked outside and spotted two people and something floating beside them. Lucy was helping Levy to calm down.

“Do you know who entered your room?”, Lucy asked in a soothing voice.

“I didn’t. It was dark so I only saw their shadows but they are arguing about something and from my perspective I think they were trying to hear something on the wall”, Levy said and pointed the spot where she saw the suspects.

“They escaped. Don’t worry Levy, they’re gone. But to be sure, lock your windows”, Erza said more like an order.

“Yes, thank you”, Levy said.

“Lucy, I’ll go back first. Thanks for talking to me. I felt relieve with what you said. I’ll try to do what you said to me. Thank you”, Juvia said.

“Umm, Juvia-chan, can I please…..borrow Lucy for tonight? I’m really scared they might come back”, Levy pleaded and was on the verge of crying.

“It’s alright. We’re done talking anyway. I’ll see you both at the guild tomorrow. Goodnight”, Juvia said and excused herself.

“Looks like you and Juvia are in a much better relationship now”, Erza said.

“Yeah, I hope it stays that way”, Lucy said.

“I’ll go back to my room as well. Goodnight”, Erza said.

“Goodnight”, Lucy and Levy said.

Later that night…..

Lucy woke up and spotted something shining on the floor. When she reached to it, she saw that it was a key. The key she was holding was very familiar and there is no way anyone could have the same key as that. She gripped the key tightly in her hands and rage filled her eyes. It was her key. The very same key she gave Natsu just a few hours ago.

“NATSUUUU!!!”, Lucy quietly gritted her teeth in anger.
