After 2 months.....Fairy Tail guild...

A body stirred on the white bed. Eyes were slowly opened as it adjusted to the sunlit room.

"You're awake!", a voice was heard as if it just stopped crying. "Hey everyone come here!"

"Oh! You're awake at last!"

"You don't know how worried we were about you!"

Hugs were shared and tears of joy were shed.

"Looks like you're awake", all heads turned to the owner of the voice. At the door stood a petite old man with a genuine smile on his face. "We're so glad to have you back, Lucy!"

"Ummm, what happened?", she managed to speak. She's still a little stiff to move her body as she tried her best to sit up. She was aided by Mirajane and Erza.

"We don't know either. It's a miracle to see you survived that incident", Mirajane started.

"We found you covered in blood with all those nasty bruises. Good thing Wendy and Cheria are there. Polyusica almost lived for a whole month within the guild to keep you in check. We thought you're going to die", Erza explained.

"Lucy...I'm so happy you're alright", Happy cried in her chest more.

She feels so happy to see them all, but her eyes are looking for someone in particular who is absolutely missing in the room. Normally, he's the first one she expects to see when she opened her eyes.

"Natsu....where's Natsu?", she asked.

All of them turned silent. Even Happy fidgeted when he heard his name.

"What....why is everyone so quiet?", Lucy felt so scared but she doesn't know why.

"Lucy....we haven't seen him since the battle with the Gallion Alliance", Laxus finally said.

"What?", Lucy can't believe what she heard. She clearly remembers Virgo aiding him from the rock that trapped his footing. She was sure Virgo was able to help him escape.

"Natsu...went missing ever since. We haven't found his body from the site and we don't even know if he's alive", Cana said.

"No...no way...You can't be serious....", Lucy started to squirm out of the bed. Her whole body is aching but she doesn't care. All she cares about now is to get out and look for him.

"Lucy...stop it!", Erza and the other girls tried their best to stop her without making her feel hurt in the process.

"Natsu may still be out there. Who knows? Maybe he's just trying to recover", Lucy mumbled.

"Lucy...",Master Makarov said. All heads turned to him and everyone was silent. "It's been 2 months since that incident. We haven't seen Natsu anywhere. Right now, Gajeel and the others are out looking for him", Master Makarov said.

"Two...months?!", Lucy felt all her energy left her. She's been sleeping for 2 whole months now?

"We don't know if Natsu is alive or not, but we hope he is. However, I don't exactly know why he will not return to the guild", Gray said.

"Erza...please....tell me what exactly happened 2 months ago. Natsu can't be dead. I should be the one who died that day!", Lucy desperately asked her friend for answers.

Erza bit her lip, quite unusual for her.

"He's not dead", Gray said flatly. "That torch won't just die so easily without me knowing about it", he said.

Lucy felt a little relieved over that but she still feels a lot guilty.

"We'll talk later. Right now, you should try to calm down and eat something", Mirajane sweetly talked to her. "Come on Lucy. I've been making meals for you lately just in case you suddenly wake up. I think you owe me that much"

"That's right. Don't worry Lucy, I'm sure Natsu's alright. He won't die", Lisanna smiled.

"Natsu...", she just mumbled and bit her lip.

"Have you seen this guy?", Lucy asked a nearby stall.

"Ummm, no", the shopkeeper told her.

"Lucy?", Erza tapped her shoulder. "You should probably rest. We just finished a job and you're not fully recovered yet.

It's been 3 days since she was released from the guild's infirmary. She can clearly remember how much Polyusica nagged in the room reminding her of the things she should avoid of doing for the meantime. Of course, that includes using her magic for 20 days at least.

"I'm alright. I'm not doing anything helpful besides ask people", Lucy smiled a bit. She hasn't been like herself since Natsu's disappearance. Although she's trying to be as cheerful as she usually is, she can't muster enough fun as she did when Natsu's around.

"Lucy! Look! I managed to scavenge some fish. Let's go over there, Wendy and Charles are eating something delicious!", Happy started to drag the celestial mage over to Wendy.

"Should we be a little grateful that she's started to smile more?", Gray asked from behind Erza when Lucy and Happy are away.

"Not quite. She still blames herself for Natsu's disappearance", Erza said.

"Anything from Jellal maybe?"

"None. He said he'll tell us when he caught some news about him"

"That idiot matchstick; I can't believe he will be able to stand not returning to the guild this long", Gray scratched his head with irritation.

"Yeah. Knowing him, he won't stand not going to the guild. Even if he thinks Lucy is ded or if he's angry with the Master, he won't just disappear like that. And for sure, he would have probably know Lucy's alive. That is plenty enough reason for him to come home"

"I hate to say it but I sometimes think that he's really dead", Gray bit his lip for thinking such things. "But then again, he's stubborn so he won't die"

"Yes. I believe that too. Both Lucy and the Master won't be able to forgive themselves if something happened to Natsu"

"How is Gramps?", Gray asked.

"He's still blaming himself for endangering Lucy which is why Natsu disappeared. Until we find him, the Master will not be able to have a peace of mind"

"Well at least taking Lucy out on jobs like this while ensuring she's not using her keys for a while is a good distraction"

"Yes. We did a good job with that one"

"Erza-san? Gray-san?", Gray and Erza turned to see who called them.

"Sting?! And Rogue!", Gray and Erza simultaneously said.

"It's been a while since we saw each other!", Rogue said.

"Well, 2 months. Not since what happened", Gray replied.

"Yeah, well, did you find him?", Sting asked.

"No, not yet. But we're trying our best", Erza said.

"And what about her?", Sting asked, looking at Lucy.

"She's starting to smile a little", Erza said.

"And her powers?", Sting continued.

"Are restrained. Don't worry too much. We won't let anything happen to her", Gray was a little annoyed with Sting's tone. "Besides, if we don't I'm sure he'll be up on some serious nagging"

"Erza! Gray! Let's go!", Lucy ran for them. "Oh, Sting, Rouge. I didn't know you're here"

"We're just snooping around. You look good", Sting smiled.

"Almost good enough to take on job requests", Lucy proudly said.

"I'll say. Why don't have a sparring match?", Sting was ready to take her on.

"Umm, Sting? You do know she's not allowed to use her magic. You did say so yourself earlier", Rogue stopped him.

"Ughh, you're no fun", Sting pouted a little.

Seeing Sting pout definitely reminds Lucy of someone. She made a sad face once again.

"Anyway, let's go eat something. I'm hungry", Sting shouted out.

"Why don't you guys come with us? We just finished our job. We'll treat you guys", Rogue offered.

"Well, that's one request we won't turn down. I have to warn you though, Gray eats like a pig", Erza teased.

"Not as much as you!", Gray scowled.

Lucy and Wendy just sweat-dropped as they trail behind.

From above the rooftops overlooking Erza and the others......

"There they are. Are you ready?", a woman's voice echoed inside the lacrima ball.

"Are you sure they're the ones?", the man holding it asked.

"Yes. They're the ones responsible for what happened. Especially, that blonde haired girl", the woman said.

A breeze past him and lifted his cloak, showing the top of his left shoulder.

"I will burn her to ashes", his fist ignited with fury in his Onyx eyes.
