“Here’s their challenge so far! Elizabeth and Lucy should go to Aclypha to act as merchant guild members and deliver the goods to the mountain near it. However, after they delivered the goods they will have to cross a very steep mountain edge to go towards the next challenge. They have to be careful though because under lies a rocky path and they could die if they didn’t watch their footing carefully”, the announcer said.

“Oh no! This might be the best time to worry about them”, Mirajane held her face. The others paled.

“Hah, hah, haaaah!”, Lucy panted like she was catching her breath than catching Elizabeth and the challenge itself. Somehow she managed to get to the merchant guild, Love and Lucky in Aclypha not too long after Elizabeth did.

“What the! How did you manage to get out and be here so fast?”, Elizabeth held three bags full of groceries which she will deliver to a cottage on the mountain.

“I used my spirits. Never underestimate a Fairy Tail wizard. I told you, I won’t show mercy to you since you did something very unreasonable to me and the guild so I’m gonna pay you back a hundred times over”, Lucy was huffing but she can still say those words with ease. She was sweating so hard due to the running.

“Yeah right. Oops!”, Elizabeth surely was having problems with the bags. She used one of her magical items again. It turns out to be a magical bag, the one that can contain many things without making it look big or getting heavy, it is also like one of Master Makarov’s present for Lucy on her birthday. “Well then, see you around, Lucy-chan!”, with that she dashed off.

“Can I have mine please?”, Lucy asked the counter personnel.

“Oh if it isn’t Jude-san’s daughter. I never thought you would participate. Oh well, here you go. These are just documents which you should deliver on the town chairman’s cabin. Here’s the map. Don’t lose them now, they are very important”, said the woman as she handed her the files.

“Umm, can you please hold them for me for a little while? I’m just going to go somewhere before I deliver them”, Lucy said.

The woman looked at her questioningly but then she gave her a warm smile when she understood what she was planning.

“You must take this now my dear. Don’t worry, I’m sure they will still be there even if you visit them later. This challenge is important to you and I’m sure Jude-san will insist you in going on than stop by and visit them which will definitely take longer than you will expect”, the woman handed her the documents and urged her to go on.

Lucy took it willingly. “Thank you so much. You’re right. I will go now”, Lucy bowed at her and dashed off.

“Such a warm child”, the woman mumbled as she smiled.

“Potions again”, Lucy held yet another bottle which she caught on the way up the mountain. “Elizabeth is really doing this recklessly. I wonder how long her body can hold”, she was worried for Elizabeth. She managed to deliver it safely and now she’s on her way on the steep path on the edge of the mountain.

She heard someone panting so hard. When she turned on a corner, she saw Elizabeth who looks like she was having hard time breathing.

“Elizabeth?!”, Lucy worriedly hurried her way to her to assist her.

“Wha! You….caught…up…already…..darn”, Elizabeth was sweating hard.

“Elizabeth, look at you! I told you to stop drinking potions. Now look at you!”, Lucy wiped her sweat away and helped her sit a little.

“Stop showing your sympathy like you mean it”, Elizabeth brushed her off.

“But I mean it Elizabeth! Do you think I’m putting up a farce here?”, Lucy just gave her something she can use to wipe off.

“If you haven’t noticed we’re still enemies and rivals. We must go back to Love and Lucky for our next challenge and this way back is pretty dangerous. Don’t think I will hesitate to do something that will harm you”, Elizabeth warned.

“Yeah yeah, don’t worry Elizabeth, I won’t do anything dirty against you. You can do everything you want to me but I will never try to endanger your life for something like this. It’s not worth it”, Lucy said. She held one of her arms and helped her walk on the steep edge. Just under the edge of the steep cliff lie some rocky planes and a river with rushing waters.

“Don’t try to mess up with me Lucy-chan. Don’t think doing something like this will change what I think of you”

“I’m not. Elizabeth, I’m sorry for leaving you behind when we were kids. I understand why you’re doing this. You hate me because I left you alone right? I was too focused on my own sorrow that I forgot everyone around me. You have more to revolt than just what happened to the both of us. I know all the reasons you have for this. I know it all Elizabeth. Quit using me and the guild because of it. If you wanted to be free from your life then do so! You have the will to do it. You’re just afraid to take the risk!”

“What do you know? You’ve left me all alone! ALL ALONE! Do you know how hard it is for me? You knew you’re the only one I trusted! You’re the only one who’s been there for me and then you suddenly left me hanging! Why didn’t you even say goodbye?! You don’t know how I felt all those years!”, she stopped when Lucy slapped her with her right hand. “WHY YOU!!!”

“Stop it already Elizabeth!”, Lucy angrily looked at her. “I don’t know how you feel? I know it! I felt it! If you still think I don’t know how you feel, then let me! Let me feel it! Tell me everything you wanted to tell me. I’ll listen to all of it. I’m sorry if I left you for my own selfish reasons but Elizabeth, we both know you’re not completely alone! You’re the selfish one here! You have Master Maru and Reina! Stop pushing away those who loves you truly! Do you really want to be left alone forever? Both of them loved you from the start and you’re just blinded by my existence. I knew I shouldn’t have let you rely on me too much. I’m truly sorry for leaving you behind. I haven’t been there when you needed me but that doesn’t mean it’s too late isn’t it?”

“It’s already too late. The damage has been done!”

“Yes you are right. The damage HAS been done but can’t you just let it go? Forgive and forget already. This and that are different! We can’t change what already happened but we can still decide what will happen from now on. Elizabeth, the reason I challenged you was to reconcile our problems. I want our relationship to return the way it was before. We were a family right?”

“You know? I always thought of you as a sister. You’ve been my example! I wanted to be just like you, you who is so gentle towards me! Even Natsu-sama loves you! I fell in love with Natsu-sama and to think that he cares so much about you. I can’t compete with that. I always lived like a caged bird. I wanted to run away just like you did but I can’t! I can’t leave like you did!”

“I know. I know how it feels to bind yourself with laws and expectations. Elizabeth, we can still do something about that. Master Maru will understand I’m sure. Reina will help you out and she will never leave you alone. Elizabeth, can’t we be friends again? Aunt Reliza wanted you to be happy, not be filled with hatred. Reina wanted you to be happy too. I want you to be happy. I missed you, you know that? Come on Elizabeth”, Lucy tightened her grip on her to make her feel that she’s sincere and she wanted to go back to the way they were before.

“Is it really not too late? I did so many things to you and your guild. Will it still be alright to go back? I threatened everybody and used my influence to do bad things. I should be punished”

“Your punishment will come later and I’m sure everyone in the guild will understand. Just tell them you’re sorry. Forgiveness is always welcome”, Lucy smiled warmly at her. At that moment she saw her mother’s spirit smiling at her like she was also urging her to reconcile with Lucy. “Elizabeth, I’ve missed you, you know I love you right?”

“Mother?”, she felt like her eyes are beginning to water so she bowed. “Lucy? I’m sorry….I’m sorry but…those words are nonsense to me now. Don’t think you can take away years of hatred and angst I garnered all this time! Why don’t you wash yourself off with all your deceptions?”, Elizabeth’s hatred took the best of her.

With the entire crowd witnessing their challenge, their eyes widened when they saw what Elizabeth did. Even Doranbolt, Jason, the Mayor and the announcer couldn’t believe what they saw on the Lacrima. Elizabeth pushed Lucy towards the cliff which leads to the river. I single mistake can take away her life. Everything is in slow motion at that point.

“Eh?”, Lucy figured out what was happening. She was falling with Elizabeth smirking at the sight of her.

“Lucy….”, she heard Natsu’s voice from the back of her mind. She remembered something. Suddenly, she reached out her hand and grabbed Elizabeth’s just in time. Elizabeth, out of the confusion, was dragged together with her.

“AAAHHHHH!!!!”, both girls screamed out. The audience witnessing jaw dropped from the scene.

“What are you doing!”, Elizabeth shrieked in fright. “Why did you drag me along! I could die!”

“Shut up!”, Lucy snapped. She slammed her into a tight hug as she grabbed her keys with her Celestial Spirits and called forth. “Gate of the Ram, I open thee! Aries!”, she pointed towards the ground as fluffy clouds appeared with Aries at the center. Aries built some cushion wool to make their landing fluffy.

“Is it too fluffy? I’m sorry”, Aries said as she tried her best to save her master.

“Yeah, thanks a lot Aries!”, Lucy said. Elizabeth sweated so hard. She’s paling as she takes into account what just happened. Aries disappeared after she saved them. They are slumped beside the river on the rocky ground. Lucy looked at the pale Elizabeth. “Hey, are you alive?”

“Are you….insane!”, Elizabeth recovered and angrily retrieved her hand which was held by Lucy. “Why did you pull me along?”

“Well I had this crazy idea I got from two of my best pals. My partners told me to do it! If you have a problem with it, tell all your complains on them not me!”, she winked for she know it will be displayed on the Lacrima.

On the other side, Happy and Natsu gave her a thumb up. That’s right Natsu had his own Lacrima ball screen up above, courtesy of Master Makarov.

“That Lucy…”, Mirajane and the rest of the guild just laughed.

“I hope things will be better now that they both let their emotions out”, Master Makarov said.

“Elizabeth…”, Master Maru mumbled. “Reliza, please watch over them”

The Lacrima vision suddenly stopped and vanished in front of everyone. Fairy Tail and the rest were surprised for what happened.

“You’re an idiot! If you think this is enough to….”, Elizabeth stopped when someone held her mouth.

“Elizabeth! Who are you people!”, Lucy shouted out. Elizabeth was being held by a man and some others were walking towards them. There’s a cave near the river where they fell.

“Lucy-chan…”, Elizabeth was about to cry.

“You! Let her go!”, Lucy angrily said.

“Looks like we fished out some good things”, the man said as she crushed the orb following them.

“Why you…”, Lucy tried to stand and call one of her spirits but someone knocked her out. “What……”
