“I never thought I would see you all grown up like this. You look exactly like your mother. It’s good to see you’re alive, Lucy”

“Uncle….Maru”, Lucy gasped in surprise.

“Remember Lucy-chan, whoever wins this, gets Natsu-sama”, Elizabeth said with confidence.

“Natsu is not a prize to be won. I will never lose to you”, Lucy looked at the path they will took with determination.

“Ready!”, Lucy and Elizabeth took their running pose. “Get Set!”, they hunched and readied themselves. “GO!”, as the pistol shoots its bullet, the two dashed away.

“Now we can only wait for what will happen”, Master Maru said beside Master Makarov.

“I hope both our children will be fine. It will be great if they can settle their issues with this. Too bad Natsu has to suffer”, Master Makarov looked up to see Natsu turning green and pale.

“I’m terribly sorry for doing that; and thank you for understanding”

“My guild will do everything to protect each other. Doing this just simplifies it and prevent a war from erupting”, Master Makarov said.

“I will never lose to you Lucy-chan”, Elizabeth mocked as they run.

“Really? If you can remember our childhood correctly, you always lose in running when we play”, Lucy earned a couple of meters as she ran faster.

“You underestimated me too much Lucy-chan. You’ll regret making me use magical items in this challenge”, with that, Elizabeth drank a potion and her speed increased leaving a stunned Lucy behind.

Lucy looked at her with surprise. “Potion?”, she took the bottle that Elizabeth dropped after drinking the contents. “This is not a magic item, it’s dangerous. Don’t tell me she’s going to use it all through the challenge?”

“What the heck is with this challenge?”, Elizabeth grunted. Right now, she was entangled with plants and vines. Their next challenge was to get through the forest as quickly as they can.

“Hey Elizabeth, why did you took potions instead of magical items?”, Lucy asked. She finally caught up with her.

“Lucy-chan? Darn it, I’ve been trapped here for too long!”, Elizabeth moaned with angst.

“Gate of the Great Crab, I open thee! Cancer!”, Lucy shouted out. Cancer appeared with his trusty scissors. “Cancer, can you please snip these vines out?”

“My specialty is hair though, ebi”, Cancer snipped his scissors all the way through, slicing the vines on Lucy’s way.

“No fair! Arghhh! I can’t even reach my pocket….”, Elizabeth was having a hard time.

Lucy ordered Cancer to snip some vines surrounding Elizabeth so she could make her way out.

“What the…..why did you…”, Elizabeth looked at her questioningly.

“Well then, I’ll head first!” Lucy now ran as fast as she can.

“What is Lu-chan thinking? If she left Elizabeth the way she is, she could finish the challenge without problems.

“She’s not that heartless. Elizabeth may be her rival in this but she knows how dangerous it is to leave her; so maybe Lucy took that into account”, Erza said.

“You will regret letting me get out on that one Lucy-chan!”, Elizabeth was catching up to her.

“Oh yeah? A piece of advice Elizabeth, don’t drink too many potions on this challenge. Using it will do an effect on your body soon. Stop using them”, Lucy said.

“Yeah right! Why should I follow you?”, Elizabeth ran faster.

They continued the challenge; they climbed up a mountain, harvested cherry blossom petals, and do community service. None of them seems to want to give up.

“Woah, looks like our challengers are determined to win!”, the announcer blurted out. The audiences together with Fairy Tail and Master Maru were looking at the Lacrima screen.

“It looks like those two has something to prove other than just winning”, Doranbolt shared.

“Cool! Two ladies fighting is cool!”, Jason was taking notes and was hyper in cheering all the time.

“WHAT!!!”, Elizabeth and Lucy shrieked in surprise when they saw the next challenge. They have to travel by train to Aclypha station. From there, they have to gather some goods and deliver it to the town located on the mountain edge.

“Reina…..oh crap! I forgot I can’t ask for her help on this, darn it! My outfit is all ruined!”, Elizabeth stomped angrily at the ground.

“Are you ready to give up Elizabeth?”, Lucy eyed her playfully.

“No I’m not!”, Elizabeth then hurried off to the station.

They boarded the same train and sat together.

“Hey…..”

“Don’t talk to me! We’re still rivals”

“You’re still caught up to that idea? Elizabeth we can’t ignore each other forever”

“Yeah we can! We can start with this challenge!”

“Come on Elizabeth, stop being such a brat! We involved too much people on our mess. Let’s stop already”

“So you’re giving up?”

“No. I’m just saying that whatever happened before can’t be changed even if we do this. The damage has been done. Why can’t you just forgive and forget!”

“The train is reaching Aclypha station. Passengers who are going to…”

“The station is near. Let’s end this”, with that, Elizabeth looked away and ignored Lucy at all.

“Natsu….are you okay?”, Happy floated to check him out.

“Yeah, this cage is a pain. I have to hang around here until they finished? Good thing this thing’s not moving. How’re Lucy and Elizabeth?”, Natsu sat with his legs crossed under him.

“Not good. Elizabeth is too ignorant to talk to her. Lucy can manage herself though”, Happy informed.

“There’s something dangerous about her”, Natsu said with uneasiness in his tone.

“Why did you say that? She only used potions through the challenge so far”

“That’s not it. There’s something off with her. I can sense some magical items as well and she’s using it. Maybe she’s just using those potions as distractions as she uses them but that’s not it…”, Natsu looks like he’s thinking something hard.

“What is it?”

“I sense a faint magic of a wizard from her. It’s faint but I’m sure I can only sense something like that from a wizard”

“WHAT?”, Happy gasped.

“What the!”, Lucy gasped when the door of the train suddenly closed down on her. She can’t get off.

“Hehe, Lucy-chan, you really think I didn’t took any magical items with me? That’s a magic barrier lock I put on the door when I got off. It’s the best thing I asked from a great wizard craftsman. That way you won’t be able to get out”, Elizabeth showed her the key to what she just attached.

“You really are sly. Do you really think a barrier lock like that is able to stop me? There are still other doors on this train and….”

“Ah! Ah! Ah!”, Elizabeth wiggled her forefinger at her. “I knew it. That’s why I asked a wizard to make it. All the doors are locked. Also, I’ll use this!”, she showed some sort of switch. When she pushed it, the train swayed and moved.

“What the! Don’t tell me…..”, Lucy gripped the handle to gain balance.

An evil smirk plastered her face. “Nobody entered the train yet. I asked the train staff to leave the train already and you’re too hesitant to get out before everyone else so….you’re all alone in there, Lucy-chan. That train will crash once you reached the bridge. You’re smart and a wizard right? I’m sure you can get out of it”, Elizabeth smirked at her and walked away.

“You…you planned all of this”

Elizabeth winked back and continued walking.

“Goodbye Lucy”

“Elizabeth, are you trying to kill Lucy in this challenge?”, Master Maru worriedly mumbled. “I will stop the challenge. Lucy may….”, Master Makarov placed a hand to stop him from doing what he plans.

“Don’t interfere”, Master Makarov seriously said.

“But Lucy……aren’t you worried about her?”, he looked over to the guild members who were just as stoic faced as their Master was.

“This is Lucy’s problem to handle. Unless she asked for it, we cannot interfere. Lucy’s pride and feelings are at stake here. If she gives up now, she will never achieve what she came here for. We can’t stop the challenge now when Lucy has done so much. We understand her and even if it pains us to watch her in danger, we cannot just stop the fight; she’s trying so hard to win this”

“Besides, Lucy has a way or two in dangerous things like this”, Gray butted in.

“She’s trained in handling things like this. She’s a battle hardened woman”, Levy said.

“She actually faced a more dangerous situation than this with Natsu and Happy on a mission”, Mirajane smiled sweetly.

“Yeah, she’ll be alright”, Erza seconded while the others nodded.

“She’s a Fairy Tail wizard after all”, Lisanna smiled.

“She can definitely do this. She also have her spirits to help her so she’ll be just fine”, Wendy and Romeo simultaneously said.

“Such great faith you have with each other….is this what it means to be a guild?”, Master Maru looked amazed at them. As he looked back at the Lacrima, he can see their figures standing together with a determined Lucy. “Such great feelings. Their bonds are really strong”

“I can feel the guild’s presence with me. I’m not alone. I can do this”, Lucy thought.  “There’s only one way to break out of this. I have to act fast. Sorry Master, I may do some damage with this but I’ll let Elizabeth take care of it”, she thought.“Open gate of the Golden Bull! Taurus!”, Lucy called forth to her powerhouse.

“Mooooo!”, Taurus appeared in front of her. “What can I do for you Lucy?”

“Can you smash that barrier protected door?”, Lucy asked. “If you can’t, then smash the whole train!”

“Alright!”, Taurus readied his axe and then made a leap. “Rampage!”, the axe he was holding landed a great damage from the flooring to the door wrecking it completely. Taurus took Lucy and made a leapt outside and safely landed on the grass.

“Taurus, are you alright?”, Lucy was worried of what Taurus just did. She never thought her spirit will do that much.

“Are you alright, my nice body? I told you I will protect your nice body right?”, Taurus just winked at her as he started to fade.

“Yeah….thanks a lot, you did great. You can go back now”, Lucy sweetly commented as she saw Taurus slowly disappearing. “Now, all I have to do is go after Elizabeth. I can take a shortcut from here”, Lucy ran at the edge of the railway and used the grassy planes as a shortcut.
