“Sorry”, Natsu interrupted.

“Huh?”

“I can’t take you as a partner in my team”, he finished.

“Natsu-sama……that”

“I’m sorry, but I really can’t”, Natsu reasoned.

“Then, I’ll just….”

“It’s not because teams should only be divided to two or whatever but….you see….I only want Happy and Lucy to be my partner”, Natsu explained.

“Is….is that so?”, Elizabeth sadly said. “Can you tell me why?”

“Well, that’s because I’m comfortable with them. I don’t want to take Erza because she’s too scary, I don’t want Gray either because I hate him. Gajeel is too troublesome, Wendy is still a little kid and the others are out of the question as well”, Natsu said. The said names had their veins popping already.

“What about Lisanna-chan?”, Elizabeth pouted.

“Lisanna?”, Natsu thought of it for a second with a scratch on his head. “Hmm…..nope…she has her siblings already and they’re a team. I don’t want to separate her from them”, Natsu excused.

“Or it’s just because you have feelings for Lucy”, Elizabeth mumbled softly but because of Natsu’s hearing, he heard it loud and clear. His heart beats wildly. “Admit it already”

“Wha…..”, Natsu started to have his face flush with reddish colour. Elizabeth noticed it and got intrigued. “WHAT!!!? You think I was in love with Lucy?”

“Natsu-sama…..I only said you probably have some feelings for her. I never said it was love……”, Elizabeth’s eyes widened. “Oh my…..You do love Lucy!.....Natsu-sama….perhaps, I was right?”

Natsu was taken aback and he can’t stop himself from blushing so much.

“I with Lucy?! WHA-…what are you talking about?!”, Natsu blushed and tried to hide it. “Seriously….me? With Lucy? That weirdo whose sex appeal doesn’t work?!”, he was almost panicking. “You have got to be kidding me right? I only love to tease her”

“Heh? Really? Then why is that?”, Elizabeth leaned closer with a tease.

“Wha-? Because.....”

“Because?”

Natsu became redder than he already is. He’s not prepared for things like this. Of course he likes to tease Lucy, but why is it that he’s getting edgy to what Elizabeth just asked of him. “Darn it, it’s getting hotter in here”, he said and looked away. Elizabeth looked at him with an amused expression. “What’s happening?”, he held his shirt tightly on his left where his heart was beating fast.

“Natsu-sama…..don’t tell me you’re…..”

“Why am I nervous all of a sudden? Darn it my face is hot”, he really doesn’t know what to do. “Where’s Happy when you need him……”

“Natsu-sama…..you’re funny!”, Elizabeth laughed loudly. “It’s clear now. Lucy, you’re really blessed….I’m envious but I’m happy for you”

“Eh? Shut up! That’s because you said something unusual all of a sudden”, Natsu calmed down a bit but his face was still pink. “What did you do?”

“I didn’t use magic if that’s what you’re thinking”, Elizabeth teased him.

“It’s impossible; I started having this feeling when you said something! You must have done something to me. Make it stop”, Natsu was still flushed.

“I can’t stop it with my magic, Natsu-sama, that’s something you did to yourself”, Elizabeth stuck her tongue out.

“We’re back!”, Happy and Lucy walked towards them holding some snacks. Natsu turned to look at them. When he caught sight of Lucy he blushed red again.

“What happened to your face?”, Lucy noticed Natsu’s face was red. Natsu looked away.

“It’s just the Cherry blossoms!”, Natsu annoyingly said. Happy just looked at him suspiciously then smiled.

“What happened?”, Lucy asked Elizabeth. Elizabeth just shook her head gently.

“Who knows? I just confessed to him and he’s been like that”, Elizabeth smiled.

“HEH?! Natsu! Elizabeth confessed to you? Does it mean you two are together now?”, Happy asked in an intrigued manner.

“Together? I didn’t even agree in being her partner!”, Natsu’s tone was rougher than usual.

“Then, could it possibly be that you started to have feelings for her?”, Lucy teased.

“No way!”, Natsu was really annoyed.

“Oh really? We don’t believe you. You must have fallen for her”, Lucy and Happy joined in teasing him. Elizabeth was just smiling at the background. He saw her wink at him. Then he remembered what he just said that made him act like this.

“Or it’s just because you have feelings for Lucy. Admit it already”, he remembered Elizabeth said. “You do love Lucy!”

“NO! IT’S NOT LIKE THAT! HOW CAN IT BE WHEN YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT I...…”, Natsu stopped. Lucy and Happy looked at him more suspiciously.

“That you……what?”, Lucy and Happy were leaning in to the blushing Natsu.

“Or it’s just because you have feelings for Lucy. Admit it already. You do love Lucy!”, he remembered again.

Natsu blushed again and turned around, not finishing what he was about to say. “Darn it!”, he stomped away.

“What’s with him?”, Lucy asked.

“Natsu’s embarrassed”, Happy teased.

“Natsu-sama, don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone”, Elizabeth thought.

“What just happened?”, Lucy asked her.

“I don’t know. But….ahhhh, I feel so stupid”, Elizabeth sadly said.

“Why? What happened?”, Lucy asked again.

“I guess I just didn’t have the result I was expecting. I never thought I would be this disappointed. Oh well, at least I tried”, Elizabeth smiled.

“Huh?”, Lucy and Happy were confused. They clearly didn’t understand what Elizabeth said.

“NATSU-SAMA!!!! I DON’T LIKE YOU AFTER ALL! You’ve been dumped you hear?”, she shouted again. Natsu turned to look at her with surprise.

Elizabeth whispered to Lucy after that. “Maybe in a few more years I’ll try to confess again. Maybe by that time, he’ll start to look at me alone”, Elizabeth said and winked at Lucy. Lucy has a questionable look at first but then she smiled when she understood.

“Maybe; but by that time, who knows? I might also be ready to confess mine”, Lucy whispered back.

“I’ll take that as a challenge”, Elizabeth smiled. “Lucy-chan, let’s meet again!”, she shook hands with her. “I’ll leave now. Goodbye Lucy”, Elizabeth hugs her before leaving.

“Take care alright? Don’t use your magic unless the situation calls for it”, Lucy reminded.

“Thanks, you too”, Lucy said. When Elizabeth was away, she walks over to the pouting Natsu.

“Natsu?”, she called. Natsu still hasn’t turned around. He was just silent. “Is something…..”

“Lucy…”, Natsu awkwardly said. His voice looks so sad.

“What is it?”

“Can I hostage your bed tonight?.....Please”, Natsu said. Lucy found it cute when she saw him look at her with a blushing face.

“You can’t say please if you’re taking something as a hostage. Alright, I think my bed wants to be your captive too”, she smiled. Happy smiled with them as they look back at the Cherry Blossoms.

“Natsu….”, she noticed and realized they were standing near the Cherry Blossom tree that Natsu said he uprooted before on her first year in Fairy Tail for her.

“What is it?”, Natsu turned to look at her. The look on his serious face, she can’t help but blush.

“Thank you”

“What for?!”

“Nothing. Just…..thank you”

“You’re really weird Lucy”

“You are weird too”

“I guess that’s why we became a team”

“Yeah, I guess so”

“That Salamander…he’s really dense to know his own feelings”, Gajeel said.

“Natsu-san doesn’t realize it yet huh? Even though Elizabeth-san told him already”, Wendy smiled.

“What exactly?”, Mirajane asked.

“That frilly girl told Salamander he loves Bunny-girl. Gihee”, Gajeel grinned.

“REALLY?! HOW DID YOU KNOW?”, some guild members were shocked.

“Dragon Slayers have enhanced senses remember?”, Gajeel pointed out. Wendy was smiling at them.

“Oh boy, looks like Natsu’s feelings were hit on the spot by Elizabeth”, Erza smiled.

“And did you see just how cute his reactions were?”, Lisanna squealed like his sister.

“Yeah but do you think Natsu-nii got it? They’re so slow”, Romeo said.

“How about your own? Be careful Romeo”, Cana said. Romeo chanced a glimpse over Wendy and blushed.

“Hehehe, looks like I’ll have to work harder”, Mirajane emanated strong menacing aura as she looks at her next targets. “Be prepared now”

“Oh no!”, Gray and the others paled.
