“Natsu”, Master Makarov approached the lad who was sitting beside Lucy and Happy.

“Gramps, what is it?”, Natsu asked politely. Master Makarov handed down some papers which Natsu looked with interest.

“Lady Elizabeth, asked for your audience. She wants to know you better, not as a wizard but as a friend”, he said. Happy choked on his fish, Lucy’s eyes widened. All of the guild members gasped. Murmurs were heard inside the guild. “She asks if you could tour her around the town. How about it?”

“Should I go?”, Natsu asked.

“The Council and the Mayor are backing up the request. It’s still up to you to decide, though it will help a lot of you do”

“But I don’t want to be alone with her. I sense something from her and it makes me uneasy”

“Come on my boy. The Council and the Mayor are really looking into this. We can’t mock them more than we already did”, Master Makarov tried to reason. Natsu just shrugged with indifference. He really doesn’t want to go.

“Natsu, it wouldn’t hurt right? You’re just going to show her around. Besides, Elizabeth might just really want to know you as a friend”, Lucy tried to convince him. Erza, Lisanna and Mirajane just couldn’t believe what they heard from her.

“I guess, but I can’t take Happy along if I did”, Natsu pouted.

“Think of it as a mission for just a day, you can do it. Just try to be friendly with her”, Lucy encouraged.

Natsu looked at her for a minute and to Happy then sighed. He took the papers from Master Makarov and headed to the door. “I’ll be back later. Lucy, Happy, choose a job by then”

“What did you just do Lucy?”, Lisanna confronted her right away.

“Yeah, aren’t you supposed to stop him? Why are you encouraging him to get closer to her?”, Mira asked.

“Come on, we can’t jump into conclusions just yet. We can’t take away Elizabeth’s right to ask Natsu to become friends with her right? Besides, it’s Natsu’s decision to go or not even if we try to order him. He wouldn’t do something he doesn’t want to right?”, Lucy asked.

“If you haven’t noticed, he clearly doesn’t want to but you said he should so he did”, Gray mumbled.

“Let’s just give Elizabeth some time to see what Natsu’s background is, she wanted to be friends that is all. The Council and the Mayor is on this as well, if we stop it the Master will get in trouble”, Lucy explained.

“Well thanks for considering this old man”, Master Makarov started looking glumly as he walks to the second floor. Erza and Mirajane felt guilty.

“Master, were sorry”, they repeatedly said those words as they followed suit.

“Lucy?”, Happy looked concerned.

“I just…I’m worried of what may happen though”, Lucy sighed.

“Natsu-sama!”, Elizabeth as squealing. She’s literally squealing like a child who saw her first toy. She’s acting like Juvia right now.

“Milady, please maintain your endurance”, Reina reminded her but Elizabeth wasn’t listening. She was just too happy to see him.

“Natsu-sama, will you tour me in Magnolia?”, Elizabeth excitedly tugged his arms.

“About that…well”

“Don’t tell me you still brought that cat and Lucy-chan along?”, she pouted.

“No…well”, Natsu was sweating, suddenly regretting his coming over. “Come on Natsu, you can do it. Elizabeth might just really want to know you as a friend”, he remembered what Lucy told him. “Alright”, Natsu surrendered.

“Yay! Reina come! Bring just three of my escorts along!”, Elizabeth said. Reina bowed and went out of the room.

“You asked me to show you around Magnolia, but why bring so many people along?”, Natsu asked as he walks side by side with Elizabeth.

“Hmm? Well I wasn’t allowed to go anywhere without them”, Elizabeth said.

“Why is that?”, Natsu asked.

“My father is too protective of me. My mother died when I was born”, Elizabeth sadly said.

“Hm? So, you’re always taking them whenever you go?”, Natsu asked.

“Yeah”

“Man, you’re no fun at all”, Natsu blurted out.

“What’s that?”, Elizabeth felt humiliated all of a sudden.

“Come on!”, Natsu took her hand and ran away as fast as he can leaving Reina and her other escorts dumbfounded. They ran through corners and alleys to lose them.

“Hah, hah!”, Natsu panted.

“N-Natsu-sama….W-why, d-did y-you..”, Elizabeth was trying to catch her breath from their running spree.

“Now that they’ve all gone, you can enjoy the views without any interruption”, Natsu grinned. Elizabeth’s cheeks flushed.

“Reina-sama, what should we do?”, the escorts asked.

“Leave them be. Return to the hotel for now. We’ll wait for them. Don’t worry, I’m sure she’s in good hands”, Reina just smiled at them.

“Wahhhh!”, Elizabeth’s eyes twinkled as she observes the view in Magnolia. “It’s so pretty and wide!”, Elizabeth exclaimed. They were on a very high place after they explored the town.

“See? You can see all of Magnolia! Look there’s the guild!”, Natsu pointed to its direction.

“You’re right! I can even see the hotel I’m staying at!”, Elizabeth said.

“Lucy told me you will like it here”, Natsu said. “Woah, the sun is setting already?”, Natsu looked over to the setting sun.

“The sun is really pretty. I had so much fun today Natsu-sama”, Elizabeth smiled from the bottom of her heart despite what she just heard. She laughed until her stomach hurts when Natsu told her jokes. This day will definitely stay with her forever.

“That’s good”, Natsu said. When the skies turned dark blue, the lights flickered and the town they were looking at illuminated by different sets of lights.

“PRETTY!”, Elizabeth shouted out.

“Let’s go, I still have something to show you”, Natsu said. Elizabeth nodded and followed.

“This is….”, Elizabeth was awed and too amazed to tell something.

“Magnolia’s proudest possession, the Cherry Blossom trees. You’re just in time to see them bloom. Tomorrow’s the actual festival though”, Natsu proudly said.

“It’s really beautiful. I love it!”, Elizabeth can’t contain her happiness.

“Really? Lucy loves them too”, Natsu said. “Its her favourite place in all Magnolia”

“Eh?!”, Elizabeth’s smile faded. “She loves them too?”

“Yeah! I bring her here every time it blooms. Sometimes she would drag me even if I don’t want to. Happy is as excited as she is whenever the Harvest Festival comes around”, Natsu grinned just by remembering. Elizabeth turned silent and gloomy. “I know! I’ll bring Lucy here on the Harvest Festival, why don’t you come along with us? I’m sure you’ll love the cherry blossoms fluttering about especially at night, their colours turns rainbow under the moonlight”

“I don’t want to….”, Elizabeth nonchalantly said. Natsu stopped and looked at her glum face. “If Natsu-sama wants to show it to me, show it to me alone”, she said. “You’ve been talking about your cat companion, Fairy Tail and Lucy all these time. Why do you have to bring them up?!”, she snapped. “Especially Lucy, why do you have to show me something that she likes! You’ve been bragging how she loves the city lights from above and the Cherry blossoms you all go to. Why!”

“You asked me to show you around town didn’t you? I’m just doing my job”, Natsu said calmly.

“Job? So this is just a job to you?”, Elizabeth asked.

“Well yeah, that’s what you requested on my guild right?”, Natsu said.

“Can’t you see me as anyone else but a wealthy girl?”, Elizabeth was almost showing tears.

“I see you as a friend. Lucy does too. And I’m sure Erza, Gray, Happy too and everyone will see you as a friend as long as you don’t use such influence”, Natsu seriously said.

“Can’t you stop talking about Lucy or anyone from your guild?”, Elizabeth asked.

“Why? They’re my friends, my family. They’re with me everywhere I go”, Natsu said.

“But I hate it when you talk about them, you’re with me so you should only focus on me”, Elizabeth ordered.

“Sorry, but that’s the only request that I cannot allow to be given”, Natsu said with the look that will never trample.

“I really hated Lucy since we’re kids, now I hate Fairy Tail too”, Elizabeth declared.

“So you really hate Lucy. I already sensed you don’t like being with her since our last mission regarding you. Why do you hate her so much?”

“You won’t understand! No one will understand! She had it easy! She was given importance without even trying! I bet she was able to enter your guild because she’s wealthy too! She’s not wealthy anymore! She causes troubles every time! She’s totally a threat to your guild right! She’s not even powerful as a wizard yet why did you take her in your team? What is it in her that I don’t have! Why do you care for her so much! She…she…”

“You’re wrong”, Natsu stopped her from saying anything more. “Lucy didn’t had it easy”

“What…”, Elizabeth was crying.

“I was with her ever since she joined Fairy Tail. She didn’t use money or any influence like you did to join us. I helped her into Fairy Tail. She lost both her parents already. She might be wealthy but she’s not lady like and she’s barbaric. She’s smart, she’s cool and her sex appeal doesn’t work. She makes troubles, she’s hard to deal with, she cries easily, her mood swings makes Happy and I crazy. She’s weird, and she’s fond of the strangest things. Happy and I love to tease her, hang out to her apartment; we also love to steal her bed. She didn’t even tell the guild she’s wealthy until her father wrecked our guild. She prefers to do dangerous jobs and get filthy with us, laugh with us, and work hard to sustain her clothes especially her rent money. I asked her to be in my team not because she’s powerful. Her magic is pretty cool, she’s friendly, and she’s really comforting. She’s not powerful but she’s definitely not weak. She’s not the type to give up so easily. She brings troubles but she tries to cover up for it. She’s not courageous but she’s brave. She’s reckless, she’s stubborn and she’s an idiot but she has a lot sense and humour. Her smiles are enough to lighten a gloomy atmosphere and just like the rest of us, she’s got the spirit of a Fairy Tail wizard. My stomach can’t be at ease whenever she’s in trouble, I admit I can’t understand myself but I always want to be with her and see her smiles instead her tears. She’s useless and helpless to the point that you can’t leave her alone by herself. It’s not what she has and you don’t but what she shares that you won’t. You know what? Lucy understands you, she does, better than anyone else”, Natsu said. Elizabeth cried for what she heard. She hates Lucy even more but she also has a feeling that she doesn’t hate her. She remembered the time she was with her and all those times, Lucy didn’t do anything to make her hate Lucy.

“I want to go home. Natsu-sama, thank you for today. I enjoyed out time together. You may go now”, Elizabeth said flatly. Natsu was shocked from her expression. “Reina!”, she shouted out. The said woman appeared in front of her, bowing. She was actually following them all these time and Natsu knew it.

“Yes Milady?”, Reina asked.

“Take me home right now”, Elizabeth said. “I will see you again, Natsu-sama”, with that, both of them walked away leaving Natsu dumbfounded.

“It’s still not enough. I still have to do more”, Elizabeth thought.
