“This is really one creepy looking forest”, Lucy murmured as she looked at the entrance of their third forest hesitantly. “How many forests are there before we can get to the mountain?”

“I’m getting tired already”, Charle complained.

“Do we really have to go through that to get on the mountain?”, Happy was just as scared as she is.

“Don’t be such a wimp Lucy, it’s just a forest. How many times did we go through the same thing?”, Natsu asked lazily.

“Well, this is way creepier than those!”, Lucy shrieked out.

“If you ask me it really looks dangerous”, Romeo said.

“Ummm, ma-maybe w-we sh-should lo-look for another way?”, Wendy was stuttering.

“Come now Wendy, I thought you decided to be brave enough to take this mission”, Charle was trying to make her move from hugging a tree.

“B-but”, Wendy was about to cry.

“Look, even Wendy is afraid of going in”, Lucy said.

“This is boring. Let’s go, we can do it”, Natsu encouraged.

“Natsu-nii, do you think there’s another way through?”, Romeo asked.

“Hmmm, I don’t know”, Natsu scratched the back of his head.

“It doesn’t look like there’s any other way besides it. Oh man.....I guess we don’t have any other choices”, Lucy groaned in defeat.

“Don’t worry Lucy, I’ll protect you so don’t get wimpy”, Natsu grinned.

“Idiot! I’m not a wimp!”, Lucy pouted. Natsu grabbed Lucy’s hand and dragged her to the forest.

“Wendy....”, Romeo approached the trembling girl who was literally hugging the tree.

“I...I can’t.....I don’t....”, Wendy’s tears were visible from the corner of her eyes.

“Come on. If it gets too scary, just hold my hand”, Romeo took her little hands and successfully separated her from the tree. Wendy looked at him with confusion. “Don’t be afraid, I may not be stronger than you but I’ll definitely protect you”, he grinned, THE NATSU WAY.

With that, Wendy’s tears stopped and she can feel courage building up on her. Don’t get her wrong, she wasn’t really easily scared by these things but if it weren’t for all the monsters and all the scary looking wizards they encountered when they set foot inside the forest, she was intimidated by them.

“KYAHHHH!!!!! THIS IS EXACTLY THE REASON WHY I HESITATED!!!!!”, Lucy was practically running for her dear life.

“I didn’t know there are these kinds of monsters!”, Natsu ran together with her.

“WAAHHHHH!!! We’re gonna get eaten!”, Happy shrieked.

“Natsu use your fire!”, Lucy shouted.

“I can’t! If I stop then I’ll get eaten too!”, Natsu shouted back.

“Let’s run for it!!”, they all exclaimed.

“Haaahh…Hahhhhh!”, Lucy and the others panted when they were in a safe place.

“It’s good we managed to get away”, Natsu leaned on a rock.

“Hey where’s Charle?”, Happy noticed.

“Eh? They were….”, Lucy looked behind them.

“Behind……. Us?”, Natsu looked too but they were nowhere to be found.

“OH NO!!!!”, they all exclaimed for the second time.

“What should we do?”, Wendy asked.

“We got separated from them because of that monster”, Romeo slumped to the ground.

“Ah guys?”, Charle shouted out. “I think we’re here”, Charle said as she points out the mountain’s entrance.

“What?”, both kids ran towards her. They all looked at the border with awe.

The lacrima glowed brightly inside Wendy’s bag. She took it out and it glowed brighter than before. A large screen was displayed in front of her and they saw multiple dots inside a map.

“Looks like those dots are the people looking for the treasure”, Romeo noticed.

“Don’t tell me those red dots on that line are…..us?”, Wendy pointed out.

“Maybe, the others were just green. Man, we can’t even say which of those are Natsu-nii and the others”, Romeo said.

“What should we do now?”, Wendy asked.

“Before they can say another word, the screen changed and a single ray of light directed them towards a mountain pass.

“Umm, I think it wants us to follow it”, Wendy said.

“And go where?”, Romeo asked.

“I think it’s directing us to the possible leads in gaining the treasure. The town has been asking countless wizards to find it for the past ten years correct? Maybe it will lead us to their latest discovery in finding the treasure”, Charle explained.

“Really? Then we’ll be taking the lead since we’re the closest!”, Romeo excitedly said.

“Ummm, what about Lucy-san and the others?”, Wendy asked.

“That is a problem, we can’t even identify which of those green dots are Natsu-nii and the others”, Romeo sat cross-legged on the ground as he think of another option.

“Wendy, can’t you sense them or hear them perhaps?”, Charle asked.

“If I can, I would have told you already”, Wendy said glumly.

Just then, they saw three green dots turning red as it quickly head over to where they are.

“Look, those must be Natsu-nii!”, Romeo alerted.

They waited for them until they can hear the rustling sounds of the bushes near them but what they saw weren’t Natsu and the others but a group of wizards who probably are looking for the same thing as they do.

“Lookie here mates, these kids are probably lost”, said a man with a very unmanaged beard and an eye patch.

“Who are you?”, Romeo asked, shielding both Wendy and Charle behind him.

“Ye’r feeling so tough eh?”, said another one.

“They look more like pirates than wizards”, Charle said.

“What do we do?”, Wendy asked with worry.

“We have no other choice Wendy. In times like this....”, Romeo took Wendy’s hand and held Charle. “WE RUN!!!”, Romeo dashed towards the boarder and entered the mountain with all the speed he can possibly unleash.

“Can’t you locate where they are yet?”, Natsu whined looking tiredly at Lucy who is still trying to locate their missing companions with the help of Pyxis.

“Piru!”, Pyxis pointed the direction of Southwest.

“Good job Pyxis!”, Lucy recommended her spirit.

“It’s a good thing Pyxis can locate them even though compasses doesn’t work out here”, Happy said as they ran towards where pyxis told them to go.

“Well, Pyxis wasn’t just your ordinary compass”, Lucy bragged.

“Let’s go, Wendy and Romeo must be in trouble”, Natsu said.

“Haaah…Haaaah”, Wendy panted as she tried to catch her breath.

“I think….we lost them…”, Romeo said.

“But….where are….”, Charle’s words were cut when she saw a vision of seven men appearing from the bushes in front of them. “WENDY, ROMEO HIDE!”, Charle warned.

Romeo acted out of instinct and shoved Wendy and Charle behind a huge tree.

The said men appeared out of the bushes.

“I thought I heard something. I guess we’re out of luck in here too”, said one of them.

“Are you sure you saw that little girl out here?”, said another.

“Of course, they should have run towards this spot when Ragus and the others scared them off”, said the first one.

“Yeah, and after all the trouble of making them separate from the older ones too”, said the second.

“I guess we have no other choice but to find them. That girl is the only chance we can get in having the sacred treasure. Let’s find them”, said the third man.

“What’s so good about that girl anyway that Boss wants to gain?”, asked the fourth member.

“She’s no ordinary wizard, she’s a Dragon Slayer. A Sky Dragon Slayer. She has the power to summon the element of Wind. We need her powers to force open the gate to the treasure”, said the fifth.

From behind the tree that they’re hiding, all three sets of little eyes widened. Although Wendy and Charle were well aware of their situation, Romeo fears of their safety the most.

“WENDY? Why do they want Wendy?”, looking at the innocent girl beside him, Romeo can’t help but feel responsible for protecting her. “I will never let them have Wendy at all cost”, he vowed.
