“Roar of the Sky Dragon!”, Wendy roared to free herself from being trapped. She was inside a cave with a crystallized barrier. Somehow, all her attacks are futile.

“Wing Slash of the Sky Dragon!”, she tried again but it didn’t even budge.

“You’re wasting your energy girl”, Kyouka mocked her even more.

“Do you really think, I would do what you want me to?”, Wendy said.

“Let’s just see”, Kyouka smirked.

“I won’t release that mist!”, Wendy shouted out.

“Master….”, Master Makarov’s eyes widened when he finally had a call from his children.

“How are things there, Warren?”, Master Makarov asked. Everyone was silent and worried about what Warren will say.

“Master we have a problem, Wendy was taken!”, Warren said.

“What? How did it happen?”, Master Makarov asked.

“They were too powerful. Silent Reaper’s Master was enough to bring us all down but Natsu and the others are off to retrieve her. Lucy finalized a plan in sync with the First Master’s strategy”, Warren explained.

“I see. Warren, tell Erza and the others to hurry. All of you have to go back to Magnolia before sundown! The Council has decided to fire Etherion in two hours. We’ll try something to buy you some time but tell them to evacuate within two hours”, Master Makarov informed him.

“WH-WHAT? A-alright Master I’ll tell them”, Warren said.

“Wait Warren!”, Macao held on Master Makarov’s shoulders so he can talk to him.

“Macao?”, Warren asked.

“The First Master has told me the plan. Romeo’s going to do something dangerous right?”, he asked.

“Y-yeah, I’m sorry pal”, Warren said glumly.

“What did my son said?”, he asked. There was a long silence before Warren started.

“He said that he’ll go along with it because he trusts us and the whole guild will be with him”

“I see”, Macao sadly smiled.

“Macao…”, Warren wasn’t finished yet.

“What is it?”

“He also said that you made him what he is right now. You nurtured your son quite well, Macao”

Hearing that, Macao cried hard. “Yeah”, Macao said.

“I’ll call you guys later”, Warren said and cut the telepathy.

“Go!”, Gray and Juvia said in unison. They made a path for them. “We’ll handle these guys”

“Thanks!”, Lucy said.

“Be careful”, Erza said.

After fifteen minutes of running and fighting…

“We’re getting near”, Natsu informed.

“Are you ready?”, Lucy asked.

“I’m all fired up”, Romeo smirked.

“Don’t stop running alright?”, Natsu said.

“Remember, once you think you can get out with Wendy, don’t waste any moment. Just get out even if they attack you alright?”, Erza reminded. “We’ll come to you as soon as we can”

“Yes”, Romeo said.

“We’re almost at the foot of the mountain”, Natsu said.

“They’re coming!”, Charle warned.

“Take him to the skies”, Erza said. Charle lifted Romeo and flew fast towards the cave. “Natsu, Lucy, I’ll handle these guys, assist him as long as you can”, she said.

“Right. Happy take Lucy! I’ll see you at the cave”, Natsu ordered. Happy took Lucy as he made his way past Silent Reaper members with his fire magic harshly.

“Looks like your friends are persistent to have you back. You must be so special to them”, Kyouka said.

“Why are you doing this?”, Wendy asked.

“You won’t understand. I need that mist to get revenge to the Council, and this wretched town. I will bring them all to the ground”, Kyouka said. Apparently all her underlings are fighting.

“Revenge? For what?”, Wendy asked.

“For stealing away everything from me”, Kyouka said.

“What are you talking about? What could the Council take from you? What good will fighting be just to harm people?”

“That’s why I said you won’t understand. Official guilds like Fairy Tail are the Council’s dogs. You will do what the Council tells you to. Judge everyone they accuse of and keep a straight face”, she said.

“What…”

“Alright, I’ll tell you why I wanted to get revenge so much. Ranburin was called Rinaburn before. Seventeen years ago, I live here with my family. My father was a smart and gentle man. He told me everything about this land and his passion for it. He’s a wizard and works for the Council. He loved his job, the Council and everyone in Rinaburn. He told me that the Council are very great people….but he’s wrong. He found a mist under the mountain he was investigating. It’s too powerful that it corrodes anything with just a little portion of it. Due to its power, my father was afraid of what it can do so he hid it and took it to the mountains. The Council accused my father for treason. They thought he’s rebelling for taking the mist but they’re wrong! He wanted to protect the people of Rinaburn that’s why he hid it! He didn’t tell anyone about it and hid it here before those Council people and the town folks killed him and burned him for punishment. Not only that, they even involved my whole family! They never knew where my father hid it because I’m the only one who knows about it. They searched for years until that Mayor sent a request for official guilds and found it. They created a barrier around it. I’m the only one who survived and that’s why, I’m seeking vengeance and justice for their death!”

“If what you say is true….then why didn’t you just take the mist before the Mayor found out about it?”, Wendy asked.

“I never knew about the mist until I got the Council’s document that holds information about my Father. That’s when I read the truth. I can’t just take it easily…not with all those people…I spent seventeen years nurturing my magic. Everyone feared me that’s why I created Silent Reaper to….”, Kyouka replied.

“What you’re doing is wrong”, Wendy defended. “You’re just escaping from your own fear…..fear of being alone”, Wendy said.

“What the….don’t think that you can understand me!”, Kyouka angrily said.

“It’s true! You’re seeking vengeance because you can’t accept the fact that you’re the only one who lived!”

“I’m the only one who survived because my mother sacrificed herself to save me! I lived my life alone in the darkness. A girl like you would never understand the feeling of being left behind!”

“That’s right! I won’t understand how it feels to have all your loved ones slaughtered by the people you thought would save you. But I do understand….how it feels to be left behind…..”, Wendy cried as she remembers Grandine, Mystogan, and Cait Shelter. “That’s why….I know how awful you must be feeling right now and how wrong you are into thinking that avenging their death to such a way will solve everything. Vengeance isn’t the answer!”

“What…what are you talking about? You can’t possibly….”

“I know a lot from Fairy Tail that suffered the same fate and experienced the same pain as you do. But they’re different from you are. Everyone….never gave up nor did they even tried to take the life of those who did them wrong”

“What is this feeling? This girl can’t possibly have the same magic as I do…”, Kyouka thought. “Don’t try to mess my feelings girl”, Kyouka glared at her. “You are still a hundred years younger to try messing up with me”, she took her earrings off. “You see this thing? I use this to control my power. That means when I take this off, I can use my magic to its full strength”

“Don’t tell me…”, Wendy looked at her with fear.

“Will-power Magic….Phra…”, Kyouka’s words was cut-off before she even finished. Romeo landed an attack on her. She was blown ten meters from where she originally stood.

“ROMEO-KUN!”, Wendy shouted out both in relief and happiness to see him safe.

“WENDY!”, Charle ran to her with tears in her eyes.

“Charle!”, Wendy was happy to see her too.

“Wendy are you alright?”, Romeo asked. He didn’t even waste his time; he started punching the ice barrier trapping Wendy inside.

“It won’t budge. This ice is too thick”, Wendy said.

“Too bad Gray-nii wasn’t here. Wait….There’s a crack”, Romeo noticed it at the far end.

“That must be from my attack earlier”, Wendy gasped.

“Alright….”, Romeo used his fire to slip his fire through it and melt the ice.

“Romeo-kun…..”

“Don’t worry Wendy, I’ll try to break you out of here”, Romeo said. He was able to break a part of it.

“Romeo-kun, her attacks…”, Wendy tried to warn.

“Yeah, I know. Wendy, now that this barrier is almost broken…do something for me”, Romeo slipped his hand inside and showed her what he’s talking about. After that, he whispered something that made Wendy looked at him questioningly. He tried to completely break the ice but…

“Ah! Romeo duck!”, Charle warned. Romeo has fast reflexes so he did what she told. An attack just passed his head the moment he ducked.

“Akari Kyouka”, Romeo anticipated.

“You’re a really annoying kid”, Kyouka glared.

“Aren’t you the same?”, he mocked.

“What was that attack?”, Wendy asked. “It’s visible”

“I told you that once I took this off, I can use my power to its limit”, she showed them the earring she was holding. “Now…you’ll DIE!”, she said words to attack Romeo. Charle, knowing full well of what her actions are going to be, assisted Romeo in fighting and dodging.

“What…how can you dodge my attacks? Even if she sees, you shouldn’t be able to dodge it so easily….You don’t even….”

Romeo wiped the sweat under his chin and grinned at her.

“What…how can it be? You should have...”, Kyouka was taken aback. Her secret was found out.

“We know how your power works. It won’t fool us the second time”, Charle said.

“What?”

“Lucy-nee figured it out”, Romeo shared and showed her something. Two mushrooms were in his hands.

“Out out out out out”, the mushrooms repeated.

Kyouka looked at him and saw the same mushrooms plugged inside his ears. The same goes for Wendy and Charle.

“We saw them lying around the area. Your powers can’t work if the person can’t understand your words fully or they’re distracted with different sounds can it?”, Wendy said.

“AHHH!!!! I’ll break your limbs to pieces…BREAK!”, she concentrated her magic and attacked him once again.

“It’s coming!”, Charle signalled Romeo since he probably can’t hear her own words. Romeo dodged it once again and the attack hit directly at the ice barrier in front of Wendy. “It broke apart, freeing Wendy in the process.

“NO!!!!”, Kyouka was definitely angry.
