Hey guys, heads up!!! This story is nearing its end but I won't tell you how many chapter are left....Also, I'm really trying my best here to update both this story and "Tales of an Adventure: Joining Hands: Allies and Foes". “Natsu…”, Lucy worriedly asked.

“Stay back….”, Natsu can smell the rotten odour inside.

“You think Kyouka will keep her word?”, Lucy asked Erza.

“She better be or I’ll kill her myself”, Erza glared at the boulder.

“MASTER!!!!”, Warren exclaimed.

“Haaaah!”, Wendy roared at her best. The barrier made a loud cracking sound.

“It’s breaking! Wendy……you can do it”, Romeo cheered.

“Keep it up!”, Kyouka focused her gaze at the mist. It was starting to leak almost uncontrollably. “Father was able to contain it all in one point. Maybe if I focus enough….”, she gestured her hands, trying to lock the mist in her grasp. She can feel the weight of the mist affecting her determination. She can also feel Wendy’s magic pushing the mist on different places.

“Please work”, all of them thought.

“Will-powered magic. COMPRESS!”, she made a firm grip through air. The barrier was broken completely. The mist spread through the cave rotting everything especially the upper part. There were dusts spiralling around them.

“Romeo-kun no matter what happens, don’t use your magic. The mist is flammable enough”, Wendy warned.

“Good news!”, Jet dashed towards the Master inside the guild halls.

“What is it?”, some asked.

“The King was able to stop the Council from firing Etherion. We have two hours at most. That’s the last condition that the Council asked”, Jet answered.

“Good grief. Two hours?”, Cana slumped to her seat with a worried expression. Her barrel was left untouched.

“Two hours? Is that enough? We’re aiming for five hours right?”, Macao asked.

“Five hours will be too much to ask. I told the King to ask for it”, Mavis said.

“But two hours? Seriously? Are you sure your calculations are enough for two hours to work?”, Freed asked.

“No. To tell you the truth I never calculated their actions when I asked the King about it. My calculations are precise if we attained the five hours request but since the Council would definitely not approve of it, I relied on trust alone”, Mavis said.

“What?....Fi-First Master…are you serious?”, Wakaba asked.

“Yes. This is the only way and our only option”, Mavis said.

“Gramps, what’s the plan? Are we going to tell them?”, Laxus asked.

“MASTER!!!!”, Warren’s voice echoed in all Fairy Tail members.

Master Makarov opened his eyes for a decision after hearing his voice.

“Warren”, he started.

“Master, I was able to talk with Romeo and Wendy. The mist was leaking out!”

“What? How is that possible?”, Master Makarov asked with surprise.

“Silent Reaper’s Master. She also has the ability to break the barrier”

“Wha-What?! What about Levy?”, Master Makarov asked.

“We haven’t seen her anywhere. Right now Wendy and Romeo………”, Warren’s voice was cut when they heard explosions and loud crashing noises. Lucy and Erza’s voice were being heard.

“Wendy, can you help me push the air around? Can you create a vortex so they can whirl around together?”, Kyouka asked with a ragged face.

“I think I can”, Wendy took a deep breath and blew air with little space from her mouth.

“Good, just do what you’re doing”, Kyouka adjusted her grip. “I can almost contain it all”

“Now what do we do?”, Romeo asked.

“I’m going to decompose this mountain so we can get out. Get ready”, Kyouka closed her eyes which seems like she’s praying for something. When she opened her eyes, she slammed the compressed mist upwards. Boulders started to fall and the ground shook violently. “Wendy, please be ready. My power is almost…….”

“The mist was starting to escape her grasp”, Romeo noticed.

“Don’t tell me….Kyouka-san! Please hold on much longer”, Wendy tried to run towards her but her knees gave out and she stumbled to the ground.

“Wendy! Are you alright?”, Romeo helped her up.

“My body…is starting to numb…..”, Wendy exhaustedly said.

“What….”, Romeo coughed and had trouble in breathing.

“We’ve been…..exposed to the mist for too long”, Kyouka panted. “Darn it…..if only…”, her grip was coming loose.

“Wendy! Romeo!”, Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Happy and Charle all came towards them. The mountain as already in shambles and the tremor earlier crashed the boulder down with Natsu’s punch.

“Everyone…..”, Wendy and Romeo never felt so relieved.

“What happened to you guys?”, Erza asked.

“They look like they’re going to pass out”, Natsu said.

“Ummmm, guys…I don’t like the look of that”, Lucy warned them as she points to the sky.

“No…the mist….”, Happy was scared at the sight he’s seeing.

“It’s starting to break out. No, if that woman passed out, the mist will….”, Charle was trying to look into the future but it only leads to the mist decaying everything it touches every second that passes.

“This doesn’t look good”, Romeo uttered.

“I can’t....hold…on…much…long….er”, Kyouka’s grip loosen and the mist retaliated.

“Oh no!”, Lucy and Erza shouted out.

“Juvia is afraid, Gray-sama!”, Juvia embraced Gray tightly.

“Ca-calm down, Ju-Juvia!”, Gray choked out.

“Levy, where are you?!”, Warren shouted out.

“Everyone, get back!”, Erza ordered.

The mist broke out and it’s spreading through their position. Lucy took Wendy,Natsu took Romeo, Erza and Warren helped Kyouka as everyone of them ran for their lives.

“NO!”, they all shouted out when it was too close to them.

Runes appeared right in front of them and created a barrier that separates them by a hair line. A second later, and they might all be corroding into dust in an instant.

It was only when the mist touched the barrier and stopped, containing all of it inside. The runes covered the whole mountain that crumbled moments ago and where they were before.

“Wh….What….just…happened?”, Warren choked out with shock. Everyone’s breath stopped when they thought they’re going to die.

“I swear I almost saw heaven’s door opened in front of me”, Gray said.

“I would gladly go there if you’re with me”, Juvia fantasized.

“Is…it over?”, Natsu was sweating hard.

“I’m not going back in here”, Happy shouted.

“These runes…..”, Lucy looked a tit closely.

“Everyone!”, Levy ran towards them, her hair was a mess, and she was sweating hard.

“LEVY!”, they all shouted with relief.

“Thank goodness I made it in time. It was hard to create those Runes….I asked Fried and he helped me formulate a tougher barrier and it looks like it’s working well”, Levy panted when she stopped in front of them.

“Levy-chan!”, Lucy literally hugged her tight.

“Lu-chan, how are you?”, Levy hugged back.

“You don’t know how thankful I am you came”, Lucy said with tears.

“Actually, all of us were really glad you came”, Gray said.

“Wait, from these Runes, the range of it…perhaps…you only surrounded the mountain?”, Lucy asked.

“Yeah. Actually, I created ten Runes on different places”, Levy replied.

“Te-Ten Runes?! Why so many?”, Warren asked.

“I started with the port until I finished the last one in this mountain, well the mountain before it crumbled because I saw from these documents from the Council that this is where the mist is hidden”, Levy said.

“How did you get passed my minions?”, Kyouka asked when she regained her consciousness.

“He helped me out”, Levy smiled.

“He?!”, all of them asked.

“Gihee”, a voice was heard above them.

“Gajeel?!”, they all gasped in surprise.

“Lily too!”, Happy shouted out.

“What the heck are you doing here? I thought the Master didn’t let you join us?”, Erza furiously asked.

“I didn’t join you. I just came here after you guys left Fiore and when after the Master heard the news about the Council firing Etherion. Everyone in the guild are on the rebel against the Council because of it”, Gajeel explained when his feet landed down the flat ground.

“The whole guild?!”, Gray asked.

“But Juvia is confused. Gajeel-kun, is there anyone else who came with you?”, Juvia asked.

“No, it’s just me. I came because the Master wanted me to help you out so we can all go back home faster”, he replied.

“So that’s why we saw a lot of Silent Reaper members unconscious on different places”, Gray folded his arms.

“When I came here, I saw some areas corroding little by little. I saw a lot of Silent Reaper members around so I wasn’t able to meet up with you guys earlier. They saw me and well…you know the rest”, Levy was blushing as she explains what happened.

“We have to take them back to Magnolia”, Lucy said.

“How are they?”,Charle asked.

“They need some treatment. They must have inhaled some infectious gas from the mist”, Lucy told them after looking at them.

“We have to hurry. It’s already past sundown and Laxus said that the Council is firing Etherion after sunset. If they stick to the plan we should have been fired at right at this moment”, Gajeel warned.

“Stick to the plan? They have other options?”, Erza asked.

“The Master and the First Master thought of another way to buy us some time. I already told you, Fairy Tail is on the rebel against the Council because of this incident. If the plan worked out well, we still have an hour before we become an open target and die here”, Gajeel replied.

“No, we have fifty minutes left”, Levy corrected as she looks at a clock. “Warren, call the Master, tell them we stopped the mist and everything’s settled. The Council doesn’t have to fire Etherion anymore”, Levy said.

“Do you really think the Council will believe us?”, Gray asked.

“Juvia agrees. The Council won’t believe us with words alone”, Juvia said.

“Ummm”, Kyouka mumbled softly. She’s just using the last of her energy to stay awake. “If you need some help, I can do it”

“How can you possibly…”, Erza’s eyes widened with realization. “This might actually work. Warren, call the Master!”, she ordered.

“Alright”, Warren made himself busy.

“In any case, are you sure that will hold?”, Lily asked Levy.

“Yeah, I made three layers of Rune barriers just in case”, Levy said.

“Thanks a lot Levy. You really saved our butts today”, Natsu grinned.

“We should probably go to the City Hall. The others might regain their consciousness”, Gray said.

“Head out!”, Erza ordered.
