"Korra."
A short-haired brunette turned as she heard her name. It was spoken with the voice of angels, by a beautiful being of safety. Korra smiled at Asami, her girlfriend. "Hey, what's up?"
"Korra, when's the last time you've taken a bath?" Asami asked, crossing her arms over her chest. "Oh spirits, you're covered in blood again!"
Korra looked down at herself, humming. She was, indeed, covered in blood. Over her brown shirt and pants, blood did indeed cover the leather and skin of Korra. "If it makes you feel any better, very little of it is mine," Korra said, grinning and stepping towards Asami.
Asami huffed, stepping back. "You know the rules. No hugs or anything unless you bathe after a hunt," she said, watching as Korra frowned. "Don't give me that. Go take a bath," she said, pointing to the nearest pond. It was small, but large enough for a few bodies.
Korra groaned and padded over to the pond, stepping into it and washing off of her body.
Asami watched Korra, smiling to herself. Their friend, Mako, stepped up next to Asami, raising a brow. "All of that from one hunt?" He asked, looking to Asami.
Asami nodded, smiling to herself. "Apparently she was out for most of the day. Brought dinner for the next few," she said.
"Asami, your girlfriend is insane," Mako said, shaking his head with a small chuckle.
"Yes...." Asami hummed, seeming to thing, "but she is cute," she said with a sly grin, to which Mako shook his head, laughed, and retreated back to the cave.
Soon, Korra emerged, wet, but bloodless. She smiled a bit as she walked to Asami, who finally kissed her on the forehead.
"Good girl. Go inside, I'll be there in a moment," she said, hugging Korra tightly before letting her enter a cave that was covered in moss and vines.
Mako and Bolin turned to Korra as she walked inside, ducking under vines. "It's almost time to sleep," Korra said. "Where's Clan Mother?"
An older woman stepped forwards, donning white hair and a blue coat.
"Katara," Korra said softly, stepping towards her, bowing her head respectively.
"Korra, gather up Asami," Katara said with a soft smile. "It's time for sleep," she said, to which Korra nodded.
"When will the attack happen?"
"Not tonight, and that's all that matters," Katara said.
Korra nodded and walked out of the cave, up to Asami, and eventually behind her. Korra wrapped her arms around her girlfriends waist, resting her chin on Asami's shoulder.
"It's beautiful," Asami hummed, looking at the sunset.
"It is."
