I wish I could tell you

The feelings I harbor.

The feelings that haunt

Late in the night,

The feelings that keep me

From living my life.

It would be easier

if we were mere strangers.

All I'd have to do

Is say it no more,

Then I wouldn't have to see you,

Not now, not ever.

But I know it's not as easy,

As I wish that it were.

Everything would be ruined,

Our friendship destroyed.

This is a choice

I will make for myself

Yet I can't seem to do it,

Not now, not ever.

If you ever see this poem,

Though I doubt you'll be the only,

I really hope you know

The truth I've been hiding.

These feelings are for you,

Not anyone else.

I bare you my soul,

Yet it's still not enough.

Look at me one time,

Just one, no more.

Look me in the eye

And I'll you the truth.

My love is for you

Not anybody else.

I don't care who sees this,

To me it's only you.

I hope you understand

The meaning in my words.

They mean no harm,

For all they do is talk.

They talk about about the future,

They talk about our lives.

But my words are different,

They don't talk on what they want.

My words seem so simple,

So short, so kind.

But do you still not realize,

These words are just for you?
