Tender
March - Before
You took off your mask
And showed me the truth.
You made me see
The person in the booth.
Hidden behind shadows,
No light to be found.
But somehow you lit up
And gave me some light.
You came out of your shell,
Showed me the pearl.
Why do you trust me?
Why was it me?
One day at a time
Your puzzle was made.
The pieces were lost,
At least that's what I thought.
But little by little
I put you together.
One beautiful piece,
Standing in front of me.
You say that you're ugly,
You say that you're fat.
Oh my sweet boy,
Do you know that you're not?
Your hair is a mess,
Brown all over your face.
Your face so sweet,
Soft as can be.
Eyes so nice,
They make my heart deice.
Heart so tender,
I'm scared it'll break.
It's already broken,
The pieces, scattered.
Somehow it's still working,
Somehow you still love.
You think love is for suckers,
That it doesn't exist.
Sometimes I believe you,
For I've never been kissed.
But trust me when I tell you,
It's alive and it's there.
Not many people love you,
That I will say.
But the people who do,
Love you so much.
I'm suprised you don't see it
It's very quite clear.
You took off your mask,
And showed me who you are.
You're afraid I'll leave
And believe me, I've tried.
But you don't scare me.
The contrary honey,
I wan't to stay here.
