Common Cylus behaviors

Addendum 2 of lore, common Cy behaviors!

This one will be more structured.

This is the name of the behavior
Example of what behavior is
What does it mean?

Alrighty, with that let's get started!

Nuzzling:
When Cy rubs his head, specifically cheeks, nose, or horn nubs, into things.
This is a sign of contentment and possibly excitement. It usually means that he's happy where he is and getting comfortable.
However, it can also mean he's being possessive. There are scent glands under his jawbone that he will rub on his mate as a warning: this man belongs to me, you need to back off.

Ear-flicks
When Cy will use the muscles on his ears to twitch or "flick" (move rapidly back to front, much like a horse) as a subtle form of body language.
These usually mean Cylus is listening to you, and is trying to get rid of his focus on background noise

Marking
When Cy will give his mate a hickey (temporary) or bite down on various spots on the body (permanent) to state his claim over a mate
Cylus by nature is a very possessive man. The marks show off that the mate is claimed, but also serve another purpose.
When both sets of marks are placed, (at least) one on the mate's and one on Cy's bodies, a connection will be established. The two will feel a physical pull to be together and there is a chance telepathic communication will open shortly after a permanent mark.

Wing fluffs
When Cy will puff out the feathers on his primary set of wings
This behavior can mean two things.
1: he's getting comfortable, as these wings are used as blankets
2: he's being teased/is mildly offended and trying to make himself seem bigger to make it stop

Tail wags
When Cy will move his tail in patterns other than the natural low sweep that occurs when walking
There are three general wags.
1: low and slow at the ground: he's watching something/waiting to see if there's danger
2: perked; the tail is held in a loose curl where the tip is level with his but and moving slow. He's interested in something
3: HELICOPTER: When Cy, in true ridiculous demon fashion, swings that big ass tail around in circles to show his absolute joy.

Stomps
When Cy uses his hooves to express emotion
There are two types of stomps.
1: pawing at the ground/stomping hard; this is outright aggression.
2: air kicks; if Cy is laying down and gets a particularly amazing scratch, he kicks the air. Can occasionally happen while standing but will result in tiny impacts to the ground of him tapping his feets.

Now onto nest/cycle
specific behaviors:

Nesting:
When Cylus uses soft materials, titanium silk, and a lot of effort to construct a safe place for him and his mate to sleep
This is usually done if he does not already have a nest, and is heightened when expecting pups. Nest materials usually include stolen laundry, soft blankets, feathers, and fur.

Kneading
When Cy is using the pads and claws on his hands to knead something like cats do
This means he feels secure and is trying to get comfortable. He does this with laps, laundry, and nests most commonly.

Cycle specific behavior
When Cy is on the brink or already inside his mating season, he becomes VERY warm. Everything around him feels hot.
Some common signs of season starting:
1: overheating and only being cooled by mate's touch
2: aggressive nesting/ sudden urge to improve nest
3: a toxically sweet scent
4: need to be marked
5: submissive behavior, such as baring his neck when approached by his mate

That's about it for now! I'll update this chapter as I think of more
