The world lay before me , asleep and under covers of a wool- like veil of mist. There was a peaceful silence and I knew that in order to keep it this way, I had to complete the mission, no matter what the cost ...

I pulled my jacket closer to give warmth to my shivering body. The cold I felt was not only caused by the chilly weather , but also as I was dreading the upcoming events. I heaved a deep sigh to calm myself down which resulted in a puff of smoke forming in front of me.

I turned around away from the city and faced towards the unknown.

There was nothing to be seen for miles ahead except for the blurry mist. I started my journey.

The trees on my either sides cast eerie shadows across the ground. Not a sound was to be heard except for the occasional scuttering of small animals.

I suddenly halted. Some places further ahead a white form seemed to be moving around. My heartbeat raced faster in anticipation.

Was it something threatening?

I pulled out the silver dagger from my waistband in case I needed to defend myself. I slowly moved closer but my feet betrayed me by stepping upon a dry leaf and thus making a loud crunch which cut through the still air.

Immediately I turned around and I took in a sharp breath. It was just a harmless rabbit.

I let out the breath I had been holding in and continued on the journey.

After some time I noticed my surroundings changing which meant my destination was close.

The trees were getting thicker and the ground became steeper.

I was panting and could hear my loud heartbeat increasing by each heavy step my boots took.

I reached a clearing in the middle of which the radiant moonlight fell , making the place bright and magical .

Taking off my hood , I let my hair fall down from the bun it was previously in.

The mist on my right side parted slightly to reveal a tall boy with pale skin. His hood fell slightly in front , covering his eyes and thus cast an eerie shadow across the lower half of his face. He removed the hood from over his head , revealing his snow- white hair which seemed to be sparkling under the moonlight. It seemed as if tiny snowflakes were scattered all over his head . I stared at his piercing icy blue eyes and we nodded our heads in acknowledgement but otherwise kept quiet.

A sudden gust of wind from my left caused our heads to turn in that direction.

A wolf came running and suddenly materialized into a human boy with messy, black hair falling over his forehead. I slowly looked up and my green eyes met his smoky,electric grey eyes. He gave a short nod towards both of us.

Unknown POV-

Time seemed to stand still . Sparks flew through the air , detecting the three powerful forces standing in the circle.

One representative from the vampire coven.

One from the wolf pack.

One from the ancient sorcerers'.

You could feel the magic in the air.

The trio waited in silence, dreading their fight . Even though they didn't want this war, their ancestors' prophecy binds and forces them to do this. This was going to go down as one of the biggest wars in History.

At the first break of dawn the battle would begin and all hell would break loose...
