"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the tall pine for a clan meeting" Kinkstar called

She scrambled out of her mother's grasp and ran over to where her sister Spotkit and her father Birchdapple sat

"Cloudkit come forward" Kinkstar called

And she got up and walked forward

"Cloudkit you have reached the age of six moon's and it's time for you to be apprenticed Spotkit from this moment forward until you earn your warrior name you will be known as Cloudpaw your mentor will be Acornfall I hope Acornfall will pass down all she knows on to you" Kinkstar said

"Acornfall come forward" Kinkstar called

"Acornfall you are ready to take on an apprentice Acornfall you had received excellent training from Wolfshine and you have shown yourself to be a loyal and brave warrior of Pineclan are going to be the mentor of Cloudpaw I hope you well pass down all you know on to Cloudpaw" Kinkstar said

"Cloudpaw! Cloudpaw! Cloudpaw! Cloudpaw!" The clan cheerd

"Spotkit come forward" Kinkstar called

And her sister ran forward

I'm a apprentice now and soon I well become a warrior Cloudpaw thought

"Come on I'll show you the territory" Duskmoon said

"Yes yes yes" Couldpaw replied

And the two of them walked out of camp

"Wow the territory is sooo big" Cloudpaw said

"I know" Duskmoon replied

"Now can you teach me some Hunting techniques please" Cloudpaw asked

"Sure" Duskmoon answered

And they walked into a clearing Spotpaw and Acornfall were training

"Hi Cloudpaw" Spotpaw said

"Spotpaw you can't keep getting distracted or you'll never become a warrior" Acornfall said

"Has she already gotten distracted that much" Duskmoon asked

"Yes" Acornfall answered

"Alright Cloudpaw today we are practicing the hunters crouch" Duskmoon said

"But I learned that moon's ago" Cloudpaw protested

"And that's why we are Practicing it. So you can get better at it" Acornfall replied

"Arguing with your mentor well get you nowhere" Duskmoon said

"Duskmoon is right it won't get you anywhere" Acornfall said

And they practiced in the clearing for a while

"Can we hunt yet" Cloudpaw asked

"Do you even know how to catch prey" Acornfall asked

They had just been practicing battle moves

"I find prey I sneak up and jump I kill the prey I say thanks to Starclan" Cloudpaw replied

"You need to be light on your paws" Acornfall replied

"But we can go hunting now" Acornfall said

And they went out into the pine forest

She spotted a lizard and started to sneak up on it

But she cracked a stick and the lizard ran and Cloudpaw gave chase and caught it in a tumble

She bit down giving a killing bite to the lizard

Thank you starclan for this prey she thought

And she carried her lizard back to Acornfall

"Did you say your thanks to Starclan?" Acornfall asked

She nodded in answer

"Good" Acornfall replied

She dropped her lizard "can we do more hunting?"

"No I think this is good for now. We don't want you to exhaust yourself on your first day as a apprentice" Acornfall answered and smiled

So they walked back to camp

She dropped her lizard on the fresh-kill pile

"Did you catch that yourself?" Skydawn asked

"Yes! I did!" Cloudpaw answered

"That's amazing" Skydawn replied

"I know and I'll become the best hunter in all the clans" Cloudpaw said

"If you try hard enough" Birchdapple said

"Why are you just standing around the fresh-kill pile other cats want to eat" Blazepelt said

Blazepelt was the moodyst cat in Pineclan and he was more of a loner then a clan-mate but he was Skydawn's brother

"Who made dirt in your nest" Skydawn asked

He only growled and pushed by

Grabbing the lizard that Cloudpaw had caught

And walked away

And Spotpaw and Duskmoon walked into camp

She ran over to her sister

"Did you go hunting?" Cloudpaw asked

"Not yet" Spotpaw answered

So out of the two of us I'm the only one who went hunting she thought

"Remember you two Leaf-fall is coming soon and it well make prey harder to catch" Duskmoon said

And then the Pineclan deputy walked away

Spotpaw watched her mentor walk away

"So did you learn any cool battle moves?" Cloudpaw asked

Her sister would get worried over things that would happen far in the future so she decided to distract her sister from worrying

"No we only practiced defense. And I'm not very good" Spotpaw answered

"Then practice with me" Cloudpaw suggested

"Alright" Spotpaw aggred

They would both be leaning from it

And they began to practice the moves together both of them failed the moves a fair amount of times but they improved as they practiced and had fun well doing it so that was what mattered

And it ended when they crashed into each other well practicing

"That was fun to do with you" Spotpaw said

"It's because I come up with awesome ideas" Cloudpaw replied

"Sometimes your ideas got us in trouble" Spotpaw said and smiled
