1 week later,

Agalya's pov

I tried waking up to the alarm but my body was aching badly. I dismissed the alarm and drifted into sleep again.

After few minutes, I heard my mom shouting at me asking me to wake up.

I told," Amma, I'm feeling really tired" in a sleepy voice.

"Agalya, are you gonna wake up now or do you want me to pour water on you" mom came to the room saying this.

She touched my forehead and said," OMG you're having fever kanna" (Kanna is a term of endearment)

" Do I have fever?" I said and sat up on the bed. A plan popped up in my mind.

Aki is out of town so... I'll use this as a chance and meet my him.

"Amma did you read yesterday's newspaper?" I asked mom dramatically as a part of my plan.

"No kanna, why? Was there something important?" She asked worriedly.

"Seems like some flu is spreading all over the city. So I'll first go to doctor and get me checked amma" I told and went into the restroom. I read that some flu is spreading all over the city but the symptoms were worser.

"Ok da kanna. I'm worried. I'll avail leave for you. Wait, let me make kashayam for you" she said and walked out of the room. (Kashayam is a home remedy for fever or cold which tastes awful)

I took bath and informed yazhu about it, she panicked and offered to accompany me to the hospital.

I thought it was better to take her than mom so I asked her to come to my house.

I switched on my mobile which was switched off since yesterday evening to see 56 missed calls and 23 messages. I sighed and switched it off again.

We both booked a cab and reached the hospital. I went to the receptionist and asked for Dr. Aarav Aacharya. She smiled warmly and led me to his room after all the formalities were done.

There were general doctors but I went to the cardiologist.

I was the last patient and had nearly 30 people before me. He's a really busy person indeed.

After waiting for hours, finally my turn came. I went inside and he stood up as soon as he saw me.

He was looking really handsome with the white coat and stethoscope around his neck.

"What happened Kuttu? Why are you here? " He asked me worriedly.

"First take your seat. Now tell, what's the problem?" He added.

"Nothing much Bobby. I'm having fever since morning, I was worried whether it was the flu that is spreading in the city so I came to check" I said in a calming tone.

"Oh ok kuttu. First lemme check you. Don't worry" he said and asked the nurse to keep the thermometer on my ear.

His face fell after seeing the temperature reading on the thermometer.

He checked pulse on my wrist. I shivered a little when his warm hand touched my cold one.

After checking everything, he said," you don't have that flu Kuttu. It's just a common fever . There's no need to worry. You better take a shot of the vaccine Kuttu, just to be on the safer side" he said smiling little bit.

I thanked him and came out. The nurse came near me and asked," are you both lovers or something sister? Please pardon me if I asked something personal. It's just that he's really caring about you, I've never seen him panic like this before".

I felt some 100 butterflies around me. I smiled widely at her and nodded my head as no. She apologized and took me to the room.

I took the vaccine and was about to head outside while I remembered I left my switched off phone in his room itself. I asked Yazhu to wait and headed to his room.

I knocked the door and he said come in. He was doing something in his phone, he jerked a little when he saw me. I went in and said that I forgot my phone.

I took my phone and was about to turn while I saw black grains at the corner of my eyes.

My mind said," are we gonna faint in front of him Agalya? It's gonna be really embarassing right"

"Yes I guess my dear" I said and that's all I remember.

I woke up and saw a pink colour sky over me. Just then, a butterfly flew over. I stood up to see myself in between a scenery with pink heart shaped flowers, cute little bunnies playing, ducks swimming in a nearby pool and unicorns striding.

I walked forward and saw a beautiful cherry blossom tree, when I tried touch but it vanished.

"Is this heaven Agalya?" My mind asked.

"Most probably yes. I've been a good girl my whole life so I'll be sent to heaven only. Except for a few things like eating Horlicks without mom's permission, eating non veg sneakily during purataasi but God would've forgiven me for that I suppose" (purataasi is a month in tamil calender during which eating of non vegetarian food is strictly prohibited)

"Yes, Yes" my mind agreed. " But did you just die for taking a shot of vaccine? " It questioned.

"Sadly yes I guess" I said sighing.

Suddenly, it started drizzling in heaven.

"Wake up kuttu, wake up" I heard a faint voice.

Someone slapped hard on my face making me jerk. The good scenery in front of me vanished and I saw a bright light.

I blinked few times to get a clear view and realised that it was a hospital ceiling.

I turned my face and saw Aarav, Yazhu and the nurse standing beside the bed.

I realised everything was a dream and I was still alive.

"Are you okay Kuttu?" Aarav asked worriedly.

I nodded my head in agreement and tried to sit straight.

He held my arm to help me while I flinched.

"What happened to me?" I asked him.

"Nothing dangerous Kuttu. You fainted cause maybe you're allergic to the vaccine" he told giving a small smile.

I smiled awkwardly and got down the bed.

I thanked him again and rushed outside grabbing Yazhu too.

Then, we both reached home and I calmed my mom saying all the things that happened except my fainting story, cause she would faint.

I headed straight to my room, updated my diary and tried drifting into sleep but an annoying personality didn't let me sleep in peace.
