Agalya's POV

It was none other than my own brother. What is he doing here at this time? I turned to look at the clock and it read 1.50 AM, has he gone mad or what?

"What happened?" I whisper yelled sitting in indian posture.

He signed me to keep finger on my mouth and involuntarily I did it. "Actually minion..." He dragged. "Are you gonna tell now or should I call mom and dad and admit you in a metal asylum?" I asked.

"No no, don't call mom. That one..... Yazhu wants to eat icecream with me it seems so I need to sneak out of the house. Will you help me?" He spoke everything like a superfast train.

"Wait what? Why is she craving for icecream at 1.50 AM? Have you guys lost it?" I asked furiously, like who does this except for those idiotic innocent film heroines 😒

"Ok I'll tell you a secret. She has a bucket list of things which she wants to do before the wedding. As we've planned the wedding in a short notice, we're doing things hurriedly.

And one of that is 'sneak out of the house and eat icecream with your loved one'. Satisfied? Will you help me now?" He asked.

I nodded and said," I've such wierd bestie and brother but okay I'll help, what should I do? Don't tell me you're gonna use my hair as a rope like Flynn Rider 😲"

"As if you've that long hair. Jokes apart, I'm gonna sneak out through the main door only, the only help I want you to do is open the door for me when I call you. Ok?" He said to which I nodded with my eyebrows furrowed as he teased my hair length. I've good hair length only, atleast more than Yazhu.

"Kindly please don't sleep and put me in trouble" he told and sneaked out of the house. I came back to my room, put on the headphones and started watching a movie. I was so engrossed in th movie that I moved only once to bring some interval snacks.

The movie ended after nearly 2 hours and I opened my phone to scroll through Insta but I already recieved 5 missed calls from Aki, than god it was only 5 minutes ago.

Thank god I saw it soon, I went downstairs and opened the door for him. He came inside glaring at me while I gave an awkward smile. While walking he accidentally hit his leg on the dining table and groaned in pain. Oh shit, mom and dad would hear.

"What happened Kanna? Should I come?" Mom shouted sleepily from her room. "Oh no no no mom, I just came to drink water" he shouted back. Thank god he came up with an excuse.

We both tip toed upstairs and he retarded to his room while I went to mine not without teasing him," had fun haan?" and he chuckled shyly, no one would ever believe that this arrogant beast was shy.

The next whole week went in a blur with my college life approaching it's end and Aki's wedding shopping n stuff.

I thought it would be better if we and some time for the wedding but the stupid astrologer said that they need to get married in a month or someone from our family will die soon. As if he'll come and kill if someone doesn't die 🙄

My diary which was sleeping for years when he was in India now gets it's pages filled everyday. He was really supportive during shopping time, I get bored and hungry easily so he often takes me out silently when others are busy shopping.

Our bond has been building well but I have a feeling that he sees and treats me like a sister but the fact is that I fell for him long ago. He isn't perfect but I love his imperfections.

Aarav's POV

We both are gelling well especially we both sneak out when people are shopping and go to any restaurant nearby. In this week's time, I came to know that I'm not being like a brother to her, at the least I should be a friend to her.

Today's the engagement at their house, the lawn decoration was taken care by us both i.e you guys know it.

We organised everything until 4 in the morning and I'm pretty sure the outcome is beautiful.

The engagement was to be held only at 10 AM so we all went to rest for awhile and get ready too. Aki and Yazhini went to sleep at 10 PM itself as they need to look "fresh" for the photos.

I for few minutes and Aki woke me up. He wanted me to help him in "grooming" himself. My eyes were literally dropping. I helped him and was about to sleep again when my alarm ringed indicating that it's time for me to get ready.

Ooff I went and got ready in a tuxedo. I stood in front of the mirror thinking 'you're a prince charming Aarav'. The guests started arriving and I was organising everybody there.

Aki too looked good even if not as much as I'm 😜. The girls weren't ready yet so Maytri aunty (Agalya's mom) asked me to call them.

I went inside the house and was about to climb the stairs while the fairy was descending down the stairs. Ask her to be a little less gorgeous for heaven's sake.

She's like your sister Aarav, you should treat her as your sister, don't develop feelings for her or you'll be in great trouble my mind was repeating. I averted my eyes and went back to the lawn, just to divert my mind.

Aki and Yazhini both got on the stage with a toothy grin pasted to their faces. Tbh they made a really good pair.

I was watching everything standing far away while aunty asked me to co e to the stage and stand next to Aki.

I went and stood there capturing occasional glances of my gorgeous Kuttu. Did I tell my? Just forget it.

To my surprise, she too stole few glances of me but it maybe thinking why I'm looking this weird.

Finally they both exchanged their rings and the marriage date was announced as decided. The marriage was to be held in 10 days which is a really short term to pull over a South Indian wedding.

Their families were leaving to India the next day after the engagement as they had a lot of things to do.

I'm leaving a day later as I've an important surgery scheduled tomorrow and I'll be availing leave after that. I'll have to fly alone which is a really boring thing.

I was speaking with Aki about it while I got an exciting news, seems like I'm not gonna fly alone 😉
