" Everything happens for a reason.
And the reason behind my birth was you."
Jia's POV
Though I was devasted seeing him in that state, still I tried to compose myself and left from there in search for Laal Chandramani, not before I had treated his deep bruise.
I was running here and there, not knowing where to go and where not to. But still, I had to find it to save My Ishaan.
"Will you just keep running?" Laila smirked at me. I just rushed to her and begged her to help me in finding the whereabouts of the Laal Chandramani.
She looked at me for a minute or so, and then, pointed towards the west of where I was standing. As I hadn't unexpected her to find it out, I looked at her suspiciously to know if she was misguiding me.
She looked at me and shrugged, "Now go, I told you just a tiny bit of the whole journey, rest part is for you to find out."
She merged in the air like a thin sheet of paper, before I could even blink my eye and see. I followed the same path directed by her, still unknown to the upcoming challenges yet to come on the way. I wandered as long my legs supported and then, sat under the shade of a tree, feeling exhausted. As soon as my eyes closed, the visuals of Ishaan being injured made my eyes teary.
The moment my tear crashed on the crust, someone swiftly stood infront of me. I gasped and kept staring at her.
"Krishyanshi, get up. Stop showing yourself as a weakling ?" Her words just added fuel to my anger.
" Seriously? " I shrieked.
" I have been running around, still I haven't got a single clue. What would I do? Tell me, how will I find it?" I weeped defeated, the tears of helplessness clouding my senses.
" Krishyanshi, That's for you to find out, dear. I can't help you as it will be considered as breaking the universal laws." She sighed.
" Then, why are here? Just go away."
" I just wanted to remind you that, don't repeat the mistakes of the bygone days again and think wisely, before pulling any stunt. Krishyanshi, the one who stays in our heart always lies near us, somewhere near us but we just need to find them." She smiled at me and I was still processing her words.
When I registered everything, my face was glowing like a bulb. She disappeared in a blink and I had the courage, I was seeking for. Pulling up my skirt a bit, I ran here and there. My legs were unstoppable. Suddenly, My leg slipped and I flew down a mountain. I closed my eyes tight and prepared myself to kiss the ground soon.
A minute passed, then another passed, still I was alive. I opened one of my eyes to see the depth of this endless mountain. I was startled to see that I was flying in the air, my back was adorned with peacock wings and I was fluttering in the sky.
My eyes traced a widespread clearing that was emitting red lights. I landed over there and there I saw a stone, laal Chandramani. I was beyond happy that I found Ujwal Nagari.
I approached the holy stone. The more I approached, the farther it seemed. Travelling ahead, I was standing infront of a golden door mounted with rubies and sapphires. The atmosphere was too brumous. There appeared bizzaire man, having a blue body, and a mermaid tail, wearing a red cap.
Jinny.
" Krishyanshi, Are you ready for the test ? The challenge for you is already here. Go find your Ishaan." The golden door creaked open to show an opening on a wall. I rushed into it, she ran to every nook and corner. The sky has started to change into orange, and purple has started to leave its effect on the the sky. I sat on the ground after continuously running haphazardly, the view of the saffron shadow of the full moon was creating a vibrant scenery in the sea. Soon, came dusk. I still had the courage to save my Ishaan.
As soon as I dashed into a secluded corner, there I found Ishaan standing. I hugged him but as I turned back I saw another Ishaan standing there. I looked at both of them shocked, they were simlar in every way.
"Who are you?" I asked the Ishaan, who came later.
" I am your Ishaan, Krishyanshi." He voiced out. Now, I was sure, he can't be my Ishaan, as he never called me by this name.
" He is lying. Don't believe him. You know very well that, I am your Ishaan." said the other one.
I backed few steps to move backward. As I spotted a knife and grabbed it. I looked at both of them to see them already looking at me. Contemplating a few times, I kept my hand on my heart to calm it. Giving both of them a final look, I sliced my wrist with that knife, and saw it starting to bleed profusely. Because, I know that Ishaan can never withstand seeing me in pain.
It indeed happened, one of them came forward, pulled out a cloth and tied it around my wrist. I hugged him tightly. As we were indulged in our sweet moment, the other Ishaan unveiled himself to be Jinny.
That was where, started our foremost duty to achieve Laal chandramani . We both looked at Jinny to lead us to the next step. He smiled and said, "Paarthiv and Krishyanshi, You both have successfully passed these tests, but the last one is the most difficult step. You need to activate your dormant powers and pass it on to someone to be the heir of the realms." He concluded.
" How?" We asked.
" Nirvikalpa Samadhi " He stated and flew away, leaving them in a daze.
Both of us were binded by sacred Prajapatya Vivah, the witness being Naintara. We had to then slip into Nirvikalpa Samadhi standing on the deepest point of the ocean, immersed in water till our neck.
(Prajapatya marriage - a couple agrees to be married by exchanging some Sanskrit mantras or vows to each other.
Nirvikalpa samādhi, on the other hand, absorption without self-consciousness, is a mergence of the mental activity (cittavṛtti) in the Self, to such a degree, or in such a way, that the distinction (vikalpa) of knower, act of knowing, and object known becomes dissolved - as waves vanish in water, and as foam vanishes into the sea.)
Their bodies were on fire, with an illuminated aura surrounding their body outline. Gradually, their eyes flashed open and a greenish-blue coloured sparks radiated from their heart, forming a ball of fire. When the fire sphere dropped down the ocean, a lotus flower handled it on its lap. Soon, the raged ball transformed into a young woman with eyes like lotus petals, brown hair adorned with flowers and a crown stood proud on her small bun.
" Kripa" Ishaan breathed. His eyes were moist with so many emotions crossing his mind. He was stunned to see the magic before him. He turned to see me, as I was mirroring his visage.
" Our Kripa." I exclaimed wiping her happy tears.
" Daata" {Creator} Kripalini chirped and threw her arms on us.
"I will also come with you ?" She asked.
" You will come with us." We assured.
" No, she can't. She belongs to here." A voice interrupted their moment. Nalini interrupted us angrily.
" Why can't we take her with us?" Ishaan intervened.
"Her birth is to protect the Laal Chandramani. How can she go with you ?" She asked humbly.
I was on the verge of crying at that time. In the meanwhile, Naintara entered. She had an endless smile on her visage. We stooped before her and she bestowed us with her blessings.
"I am so happy for both of you." She exclaimed.
"But, Nalini is right. You can't take Kripa with you because she has special powers. You know, you can't live on the mortal world with celestial powers. So, let her be here to replace you." She said.
" Now you both have to be crown, Kripa as the guardian of the crimson diamond." She addressed.
With a huge crowd of fairies and semi-gods, we crowned Kripa as the riana of the celestial empire with a gorgeous crown of peacock feathers and a dangling golden chain with ruby stones. She looked ethereal with that crimson crown resting on her head and the laal Chandramani on her neckpiece. We were eyeing her proudly as her creators.
After a teary farewell, we returned to the mortal world and the ceased time was re-started. We both were standing in front of the office chamber. Ishaan and I drove back home, but he didn't speak to me. Soon, we were standing infront of our house door.
"Calm down." Ishaan was trying to console me as I was hyperventilating due to my shooting up anxeity.
As soon as we opened the door, we were rounded by our mad family members.
" We thought you both eloped and married." Vyom bhai said and the house started shaking with laughter.
" Where were you last night?" Urmilla aunty asked raising one eye at our anxious figure.
"In the office." He spoke, but that sounded like a slight whisper.
" Why are you both standing like you just got married and came back home ?" Vyom bhai asked us while laughing at our expense. We both were having an adrenaline rush inside us.
After contemplating about what to say and what not to say, I told them about the office incident. They understood and went to their respective works.
After releasing a sigh, Ishaan and me both freshened up and started our car journey towards my house.
" So ?" He asked as we entered my room after a good half an hour of lecture from both of our parents.
" I can't believe, we are really married." I smiled lightly, saying what I wanted to say.
My eyes averted towards my engagement ring. It was a beautiful crown ring with a diamond attached in the mid-section. I caressed the ring, thinking of what happened a day earlier. I was irked by his silence. Since, we returned he was giving mono-syllabic answers.
He was about to leave, I held his arm. I was approaching him, when all of a sudden I slipped and we both landed on the sofa. He was above me. His muscles were tensed but, he tried to free himself from me. That was rude, man.
'I don't understand what he thinks of himself, Is he Zayn Malik that I will go all gaga over him. ' I thought.
" But still your stupid heart looks at him like a lost puppy" My stupid inner voice mocked.
Ten days passed in a hurry with all the ongoing wedding preparations.
Today being my haldi ceremony. I am sitting midst of two dozens of aunties, who are constantly chattering and laughing on god-knows-what. I was dressed on a long yellow suit, that was complimenting my body tightly. The flower accessories on me, made my look, look even more gracious.I have always longed for a sibling, as I didn't have one. To diminish my sadness, came my bestie, Mishka with her cute boy Romi. He is totally on team Ronnie, he has inherited his hair and eye colour and his cute nose with that, Mish's cheeks. He is such a cute fella.I was just scrolling on my phone. That was the time, when I was startled to see the people whom I didn't expect to come. Our whole gang. Vyom Bhai, Sona Bhabhi, Rohit, Zara, Kshiraj with another girl.
"OMG! You all are here for haldi." I squealed.
"Don't you think we are eligible to come here. We thought you would miss us. So, we are here as I thought you think me as your elder brother." Vyom Bhai spoke up.
" No, Bhai. I am so happy that you came. I missed you." I hugged him.
" All means with your would be hubby included, but sadly he couldn't make it. He is also having his marriage too." Rohit started his not-so -funny dramas.
" What? Marriage with whom? Isn't it our haldi ?" I poured, asking my dilemma.
" No, His marriage with his neighbour Nisha." He gave me a are-you-serious look.
I was grinning. Mom took me on the dais and all the aunties, did my Aarti and then betelnut was placed on my either shoulders to crush it by hitting it with a peice of rock, followed by my head. They hovered over me applying scented turmeric paste mixed with beauty oils, rose water, sandalwood and other essentials using mango leaves on my face, neck, shoulders and leg.
{ A/n - This wedding is as per the north eastern states. It is also called 'Mangana' or 'Gaye Holud' .Even if you find some mistakes, do rectify.}
All the unmarried girls were at a little distance, as per the rules. Mish and Sona came forward to apply me haldi. I was looking like a yellow monkey, being clad on haldi from tip to toe. Rohit was smirking at me and I knew what was coming. I ran away. He was faster, he caught me and threw the whole content of the bowl on my face. But to his misfortune, the bowl landed straight on that girl's face, whom I saw a bit earlier, arriving with all of them.
Seeing her, Rohit's whole body stiffened. Some of the aunties, who were smearing me haldi grouped around her. I was eyeing them with 'Are you all seriously crazy' look, but the heck they care.I strolled towards them and inquired them about the matter.
" Jia, we are going to have a gala time with endless marriages lined up. So much of fun !! " Zara was dancing in happiness.
" We both are getting married on the same day but, other than us is there anyone who's going to be hitched soon." I tried hard to remember.
" It is not planned. It's going to be planned soon. You see here. " She told me pointing at that girl, who had just bathed in turmeric.
"Oh sorry, You didn't meet her. She is Ayushi Oberoi, Kshiraj's best friend and sister. And Ayushi, She is Jia ." She introduced us.
" So ? " I was about to tease her, when she pleaded me not to start again with her eyes.
" Ayushi, Don't forget to call me to your wedding." Zara and I burst out laughing.
I was about to move when loads of aunties congratulated her before hand. Kshiraj approached him and held Ayushi's hand lovingly.
" So, You will get a husband in this birthday of yours." He told innocently.
" What the hell ! This birthday, you mean after 4 days. Have you lost your brain while operating that woman's brain today?" She yelled at him.
" It's not impossible for your father. Even, he can take this decision in a single day." Kshiraj shrugged. I was shocked to hear this, how can a father impose his decisions on his child forcefully.
"What do you mean ?" She asked in difficulty as her whole body was trembling. She seemed as if she would break down any moment. He showed her his phone, that had a text.
" I am coming back in some days to discuss about Ayushi's alliance with you." > Dev Oberoi.
" We are there for you." I tried to console her and in the meantime, Vyom, Sona and others joined us. I was about to move out, when my eyes crashed with those of Rohit, which had undecipherable emotions captured within them. His eyes were adamant not to stare at Ayushi, but they still stared at her in a rhythm.
Mom dragged me towards the dais again. There she made me sit and a bucket of milk was poured on me, followed by water. Everyone went one by one. My friends too dispersed afterwards to join my would- be- hubby's haldi.
I wonder how would be my hubby looking in dhoti and vest. I am sure, Rohit isn't going to leave his handsome face untouched today.
My phone beeped indicating the incoming messages. The messages were from Vyom Bhai, Sona Bhabhi, Zara, Rohit and Kshiraj. There were some pictures, one from each. Guess what, All of them shared the same picture to me individually.
I replied everyone 'Thank you. I am so lucky to get such friends, who give me everything before I ask.'
I was going to lay on my bed, my phone constantly ringed. I saw there were 14 messages from an unknown number. Ishaan's pictures.
Then, I saw a text ' Hey, It's Ayushi. Keep staring at your sweetheart. You are so lucky to get your love.'
I replied her back, ' There must be some one waiting for you in any corner of this world. I believe, you will gain whom you love.'
After a multiple minutes, She replied, 'Thank you. Sleep now and dream of your lovey dovey moments."
I reciprocated her text with a 'You too." along with that a wink. I slipped under my duvet but my mind drifted back to that view.
I failed to decipher what I sighted. What were they both doing together?
