next morning around 7 AM

Sanyukta was sleeping peacefully.

Randhir was already up.

He was tensed.

"How Am I gonna tell her?" "She'll be broken" He thought.

He saw her baby like sleeping face and he got more worried.

"But I need to tell her" He mumbled.

He went near her.

He had no guts to wake her up from her sleep. Cause once she gets up it will be so hard for her to accept it.

Gathering lot of courage he tap her shoulder lightly

"Sanyukta..."

But she was in deep slumber.

"Sanyukta...wake up"

"Umm..." She stirred in sleep.

"Sanyukta wake up..." He was little loud this time.

She started rubbing her eyes.

Randhir found her cute doing that.

"Hmmm..." She opened her eyes with great difficulty

"Wake Up..." He smiled

"What's the time?" She asked siting straight on bed

"Its 7..." He replied

"Hmm..."

She got up from bed wearing her slippers.

"Sanyukta..." He held her wrist.

She turned back.

"Come with me..." He moved ahead holding her hand

"Where are you taking me Randhir?" She asked

"Don't ask me anything Sanyukta...just come with me" He said

"Okay but let me freshen up first..." She was blabbering but he took her out of their room.

"Randhirr...but"

She tried to stop him

He brought her down

Sanyukta was completely unaware of motive behind his action.

Sanyukta rolled her eyes and the scene kept her rooted in place.

She was shocked.

She was trembling.

Tears started rolling from her eyes.

Her vision got blurred due to tears.

"Dadu..."

Was the only word she was able to utter.

She failed react.

"Sanyukta..." Randhir held her hand and pressed it lightly

She broke down.

"Dadu...You can't leave me like this..." She cried

Renuka went to her and hug her.

She was weeping badly

Randhir had tears in his eyes too.

He wanted to soothe her.

He wanted to calm her.

Raghuvir was in pool of tears. He lost his best friend.

Pradhyuman passed away early in the morning.

Sanyukta sat down on floor near Pradhyuman's body.

"Dadu...wake up" She said

Renuka cried more on seeing her condition.

"Dadu...utho...subah hogayi"

She tried speaking in Hindi this time in a hope.

"Dadu...get up" Sanyukta cried more

"Please...Dadu...wake up...you can't go like this...please..." She pleaded

"Dadu...please..."

Randhir couldn't see her vulnerable condition.

He ran to her and took her into side hug.

"Randhir tell him to wake up...Randhir...please...bring him back" She begged

"Antim Sanskaar ka wakt horaha hai...hume chalna chaiye" Harshvardhan said

"No...Dadu get up..." She cried hard

"Dadu..." She shaked his body

"Sanyukta...No...Sanyukta stop..." Randhir held her tightly into his arms

"Maasa...please"

Randhir requested Renuka to handle Sanyukta as he needs to go for funeral

"Sanyukta beta...sambhalo khud ko" Renuka said consoling her

Sanyukta cried in her arms while the gents of the house took Pradhyuman's body with them for funeral.

Sometime later

Renuka took Sanyukta to her room and made her lay on bed.

Her tears didn't stopped for a minute.

Renuka was with her all the time.

"Sanyukta beta stop crying..." She caress her hair

Sanyukta had her head rested on her lap.

"Beta...stop crying..." Renuka consoled her

"Dadu..." Sanyukta uttered

"Beta...it was going to happen one day...and it happened today...You have to be strong...aaise weak nahi pad sakti tum...tum toh meri strong beti ho na" Renuka tried convincing her

Sanyukta sobbed

"Chalo...get up...and freshen up...I'll bring something to eat for you" "Subah se kuch khaya nahi"

Renuka cupped her face

"Maasa..." She cried and hugged her

"No beta...No...stop crying...now..aaise rote nahi...tumhare Dadu tumhe aaise rote hui nahi dekh sakte..you know that...he'll feel bad...he loved you so much...unko hurt mat karo beta" Renuka said breaking the hug

"Okay...You go and freshen I'll bring some fruits and oats for you. Thik hai" Renuka said and left

Sanyukta freshen up.

Her head was spinning.Her vision got blurred and she lost her balance and collapsed on the floor

She was lying unconscious when Renuka entered room with breakfast

"Sanyukta..." she panic

She quickly called the doctor

"What happened doctor?" Renuka asked

"Nothing much...some stress that's it. She'll be fine soon. Dont worry" "Please feed her something once she is conscious" Doctor said

"Thank You doctor"

Doctor left

After sometime Randhir came into the room and saw Sanyukta on bed sleeping

"What happened to her Maasa?" he panicked 

"She is unconscious" "Chakkar aaye usse" Renuka informed

"What?"

"Calm down beta...Doctor said she'll be fine soon" "Stress ki wajah se chakkar aaye usse"

"She'll be alright...dont worry" Renuka said

Randhir caress her forehead

"You be with her now...Hmm..." Saying this Renuka left

Randhir was worried for her. Her condition was miserable. Her drained cheeks. Her puffy eyes. She cried a lot. Randhir's heart broke in million pieces.

He kept on looking at her.

She had little fever too.Randhir covered her properly under duvet and kept on caress her forehead.

Not for a second his eyes moved away from her.

"Randhir have something beta..." Renuka insisted

"No Maasa...bhook nahi hai" He replied

"Thoda sa kha lo..." Renuka said

"Sanyukta ne bhi kuch nahi khaya..." He replied

Renuka smiled slightly on his statement

"But you need to be strong to handle her...If you'll fall weak...she'll be weak" Renuka stated

"But Maasa...look at her" His eyes welled up

"I can't see her like this" Randhir added

"I know beta...but she needs time to settle...and she'll be fine..." Renuka said cupping his face

"Have some juice...You'll feel better" Renuka said

Randhir hugged her

"Everything will be fine...Just be with her...She needs you Randhir" Renuka said

"Hmmm..."

Later at night

Sanyukta slowly opened her eyes

Her hand was in his hand.

Their fingers were wrapped with each other.

Randhir sensed her finger movements.

"Sanyukta..." He whispered caressing her forehead

Her condition was vulnerable and it pained his heart.

He helped her to sit straight on bed.

"How are you feeling now?" Randhir asked

"Better" She replied in low voice

"Here..have this juice..." Randhir hold glass in front of her

"I don't want it" She replied blankly

"Please Sanyukta..." He pleaded

She nodded in No

"Please..." He insisted

Sanyukta could see concern and care in his eyes.

She took the glass and started sipping juice.

Randhir smiled faintly in satisfaction.

"Good..." He chirped as soon as she finished the juice

He was about to to get up but she stop him holding his hand.

He looked at her and found her eyes welled up again.

"Sanyukta..." He got down on bed

She hugged him tightly and started crying in his arms.

He hugged her back as tight as he could.

He could feel her tears touching his skin throught the fabric of his shirt.

He didn't stop her.

It was necessary for her. Only then she would feel better.

He planted a soft kiss on her head.

No exchange of words were needed.

He rubbed her back to sooth her.

Her face was hidden in crook of his neck anf he held her like this for long time.

"I am alone again..." She broke the silence

"No you're not...I am there for you...ALWAYS" He sai

He let her pain come out to him. He absorbed her pain. He hugged her more tightly. She was clinging to him like his second skin.

Hours rolled on and they were still like this.

Neither did Randhir try to break the hug nor did she left him.

Finally she stopped crying.

Randhir could feel that now.

He lightly broke the hug to see her but she was in deep slumber.

She slept in his arms.

Randhir couldn't stop but placed a light peck on her forehead.

He carefully laid her on bed.

He tried to move back but she had clutched his collars tightly.

Her tiny mehndi filled palms holding his collars in sleep.She needs him. She needs only him right now.

Randhir laid down close to her as she was holding his collars.

He couldn't move and slept in the same position.

He kissed her hair and took her in his embrace.

She unknowingly moved close to him and he reduce the distance in their hug.

He could feel her breathes on skin of his throat.

She was sleeping peacefully.

He covered both of them with duvet and called it night.
