The dinner date (side ship galore)
Outer. P.O.V
Swap walks out of the room with puffy eyes.
"Swap what's wrong? Are you okay?" I ask, running over to hug him. He looks up at me and smiles.
"I'll live. Don't worry." He said, walking out. I begin to make my way to the cell of Fell, knowing he had something to do with it. I eventually find him, him being alone in a corner. I look through the window and see him crying on the bed, muttering something like sorry to himself on repeat. I feel sympathy well up in my throat, deciding to get out of there. I begin to close up my station and prepared to go on my date later. My neighbor asked me out and I accepted, hoping it might get me over Sci. He obviously doesn't like me and I've been trying to move on. I can't though, he just so... perfect. I could never deserve him. I sigh, fixing the collar of my button-up shirt. I'm wearing a suit with a galaxy tie. I rest the closed sign on the window, standing up to get my coat. I wrap it around my body, getting ready to go outside. I hear a familiar voice behind me.
"Wow Outer you look really nice. Do you have something going on?" I finish packing my stuff up.
"Hey Sci, and yeah I have a date with my neighbor. What about yoooouuuu." I trail off, seeing Sci in a black tux and a white shirt, a black tie around his neck. I blush like crazy, stunned at how handsome he is. He doesn't really notice the stutter or blush, picking some stuff off the ground. I shake my head, trying to get myself to stop staring. He looks at me, a look of sadness lacing his face.
"You're going on a date?" I nod my head, a little afraid to talk. I swallow, scared that he's also going on a date. Why else would he be dressed so nice?
"Yes. Where are you going?" I ask. He chuckles to himself.
"I have a family reunion that I don't really want to go to." I look at him confused.
"Why are you dressed so sexy NICE j-just t-to g-go t-to a-a-a family r-reunion?" I question stuttering constantly. I can't believe I asked why he was sexy. I mean he is, but he doesn't need to know that! I yell in my head. He's blushing, making my blush deeper. I probably look like the galaxy right now. He looks at me, chuckling. He walks over to me, tilting my chin up slightly.
"You have the most adorable blush I've ever seen." I gaze into his eyes, losing myself in them. I want to kiss him so badly, to feel him pressed up against me. I say this as I'm about to leave for a date with someone else. I'm the worst being ever. He let's go of my chin.
"And to answer your question, my family is going to a really high-end restaurant because it's my uncle's birthday and he wanted to. It's stupid, however, considering we're the awkward family who will just act completely insane. Last year we started a fight that was newsworthy." I nod my head. My face then lights up, realization hitting me like a truck.
"Your family was the family that was on DFG?" Sci laughs.
"I said it was newsworthy. They asked to interview me and I refused. Every other drunk there jumped at the shot. The reporter said that I was quote in quote 'A sane in a group of asylum escapees.' He was right, but now we're going to a fancy restaurant. What could go wrong?" He asks sarcastically, making me smile. I look at the time and realized I have twenty minutes and the restaurant is ten minutes away. I run out the door, taking my stuff with me.
"I have to go. See you tomorrow!" I shout, behind me. He nods, smiling sadly.
"Have fun on your date. I hope you like him!" I nod, going out the door. I get into a taxi and begin to drive to my destination. Why do I feel like I'm betraying him? I shake my head, getting the thought out. After a few minutes, I arrive at Williams. The fanciest restaurant in all the land. I pay the driver and get out. I walk up to the cashier.
"Hello sir, do you have a reservation?"
"Yes, it's Jonathon Campbell." He looks through his books, finding the reservation.
"Ah yes. Right, this way sir." He leads me past crowded tables and I end up at a window seat right next to a large group of tables. I look at my clock, realizing that I have three minutes. The waiter comes and I order an appetizer and a drink. After twenty minutes, the table next to me is full. They appear to be arguing about something along the lines of E equals M C squared. I look at my watch, realizing he's almost a half an hour late. I sigh. If he doesn't show up in ten minutes, I'm leaving. I hear someone walk up next to me.
"Now what is a good looking astronaut like you doing here alone?" I look up, seeing Sci smile down on me. My face lights up, lifting my spirit. I stand up, hugging him.
"Hey Sci what are you doing here."
"Like I said before, family reunion." I look to the large group of people, overhearing bits of the conversation.
"No that's not how it works." Someone says. From the looks of it, he appears to be Sci's dad, having the same eyes and face. He's wearing a suit like the rest of them. The main thing I find interesting is the two scars on his face, one going up for his left eye, and one going down his right. On his left is an empty seat and his right sits another man. He's in a blue vest and gray accents. He also has a white shirt underneath and a chess piece mark on his cheek. Next to him is a cute little skeleton with a band-aid on his face. He has a cream-colored suit on that's sleeves fall of his hands. He also has a white shirt. The boy in blue has an arm draped around the cream kid, cream kid blushing. The rest of the people are just random people that I don't pay attention to. The conversation continues.
"You just said that's how it works, so my question still remains. What happened before Galileo Newton made the law E equals M C squared. What law did it follow before that was created, or did they not follow a law?" One of the people asked. Sci's father slammed his head on the table, giving up with life. Sci looks at me.
"Would you like to sit with us, or are you waiting for your date." I look at my wrist.
"He's forty minutes late," I mumble to myself. I look back at Sci.
"I would love to sit with you... If that's okay of course. I don't want to be an inconvenience that you just feel bad for." Sci chuckles.
"I feel bad that you just agreed to sit at a table with a bunch of insane idiots. Come on, you'll remember my family for years to come." I chuckle, smiling happily. I get up and follow Sci, him placing a chair by the empty one. He walks over and begins to introduce me to everybody.
"Everyone this is my friend Outer. Outer this is everyone." Everyone waves hi as I shyly wave back.
"Is that the best introduction you going to give me to my soon-to-be son in law?" Sci's dad asked. We begin to blush out of embarrassment, and then Sci just smiles.
"Dad, you already know Asy." The one in cream blushes, burying his head and the man in blue's shoulder. He just laughs, holding him close.
"Anyways, Outer this is my dad Gaster, and my brother Chess along with his 'friend' Asy (I ship it. deal with it)." Chess looks at him.
"Why did you put air quotes around friend. He is my friend." Gaster and Sci give him a were scientists, not idiots look. I chuckle to myself. I've actually never seen this side of Sci and I like it. It's really sweet. Chess rolls his eyes.
"Whatever. Are you going to sit your boyfriend down, or is he gonna watch us eat?" Chess asks, making me blush. Sci pulls out the empty chair next to his father, allowing me to sit down. I blush more.
"Thank you." I quietly say. Sci sits down as Gaster stares at me.
"Do you blush galaxy?" He asked, making me nervous. I nod my head.
"Yes, sir." Gaster smiles.
"Wow interesting and polite. How did my son end up with someone like you?" I smile and Sci blushes.
"DAD!" Gaster smiles as a guy from across the table speaks up
"Maybe you can settle the dispute. If it's pronounced twenty-two, thirty-three, seventy-seven and so on, then why isn't eleven onety-one?" A different guy speaks up.
"Is it because Shakespeare said it sounded stupid even though Steve Rogers wanted it?"
"Or because Luke Vader couldn't change the name and save Marilyn Monroe at the same time?" Another guy says. I look at everyone else
"I don't know?" I say shyly. An argument erupted between the two groups as I look at Sci.
"Don't worry, you didn't cause it." I sigh. Soon the waiter comes and takes our orders. The rest of the evening was filled with laughter, joy, and the most fun I've had in awhile. It was something that I could only dream of, my family is very disconnected. They were, as Sci said, and interesting group of souls. We were constantly being looked at, everyone acting stupid in such a high-end restaurant. After a while, everyone started to filter out. I looked at the time, realizing it was almost nine.
"Oh no. It's late and I want to finish some forms for work." I get up, grabbing my coat. Sci looks at me.
"Do you have a ride?" Sci asks. I think for a moment. Johnny was supposed to be my ride, but he didn't show up.
"No, but I can walk. Physical activity never killed anyone." Sci looks at me worried.
"No, but physical activity in the dark has. That's when most crimes happen."
"I'll keep an eye out."
"As someone who inspects dead bodies for a living, I have a right to say gun violence is a very real thing. They could shoot you before you notice them. That's why I'll walk you home." He says, getting up and grabbing his coat.
"You really don't have to, I'm sure I'll be fine." He grabs his wallet, sliding it into his pocket.
"Okay, then I'm doing it to get steps in and just so happen to pass by your house on the rout. Would you like to come?" I smile and walk with him out the door.
"I had a blast tonight. It was the most fun I've had in far too long." I say. Sci chuckles.
"Yeah, my family is special... Did you feel that?" I look at him, curious. I then feel a drop on my head.
"You've gotta be kidding me. We're not even halfway there." The rain begins to fall steadily as I look at Sci.
"Then we'd better hurry." He grabs my hand as we begin to run. The rain starts coming down hard, blurring our vision I trip falling into Sci's shoulder. He picks me up like a bride and continues to run, me blushing like mad.
"Where even is your house?" He asks. I look at him.
"You don't even know where my house is? We're gonna get lost in the rain." I say. He looks down at me, smiling. I smile back up at him, wanting to kiss him so badly. I look at the street, trying to get my train of thought back.
"It's a left up here, 3rd house on the right." He takes a left as the rain continues to come down hard, lightning flashing in the night. We get there and he sets me down. I feel around my pockets, finally finding the keys I pick it up and it slips from my hand, landing in a puddle beneath us. Sci looks at me.
"Did you just drop your keys?" He asks, smirking. I look away.
"Shut up and help me find them." We begin to look around as I see a flash of metal heading towards the drain. I and Sci look at each other.
"Oh no." We say in unison. We begin to run towards it, thankfully grabbing it before it goes down the sewer. I run, unlocking the door. I and Sci rush in, slamming the door behind us. We look at each other, then break out laughing. After a few minutes, I finally calm down enough to get towels. I head into the kitchen to get two towels. I always hated that towels were in the kitchen, but this is a really old home and that's the only place for them.
"I'm not going to let the key drop thing go. We almost got locked out of your house due to your clumsiness." I hear him say from the living room. I see a tub of cool whip sitting on the counter and get an idea. I grab it and go back to the living room, handing him a towel in the process. I open the cool whip, slapping a handful on Sci's face.
"Don't tease me," I say. He looks at me stunned.
"Did you just put whip cream on my face?"
"Technically it's cool whip, but yeah. Don't tease me and I won't... Sci!" I scream, wiping the cool whip off my face. Sci took some off of his cheek to put some on mine. I grab another handful, throwing it at him. It hits his suit as he looks at me.
"Now you've done it." He smiles. I look at him before running across the room. He chucks it at me, hitting me right in the chest. After a few minutes, the cool whip was across the room as an all-out war breaks out. I stand in front of the couch, successfully dodging another attack. Sci runs up and tackles me, us landing on the couch. We both take deep breaths, trying to recover. I realize the position we're in and blush. He's pinning me to the couch, our face centimeters apart.
"S-Sci, could y-you m-move?" I ask, stuttering deeply. Sci wipes off some cool whip on my cheek as I look at him. I get lost in his eyes, both of us just staring at each other. For a few minutes, the rest of the world didn't exist. All that mattered was the perfect figure looming over me, jacket still damp and dripping on me. His hand was still on my cheek and I didn't want him to take it off. Eventually, he leaned into me, our lips crashing in a perfect kiss. I jumped at first but soon melted into the kiss. I wrap my arms around his neck.
"I love you Outer. I love you so much." He says between kisses. I smile and kiss harder.
"I love you too Sci." After a while, we break the kiss and I look at him, his eyes glazed with lust. I want him so badly to press against me, to feel him inside. He leans down to my non-existent ear.
"What do you say we get you out of these clothes?" He asks seductively in my ear. I smile, placing my hands above my head.
"Make me warm daddy." He smirks, leaning down once more to place our lips together.
(Well that escalated quickly. Next chapter will be the lemon. If you don't want to read said lemon, then don't have to. There is no major plot in the chapter or information. If you don't want to read it, then you won't be losing anything. The next chapter will make complete sense and you won't skip a beat. For the people who do want it, it will be uploaded in a few days.)
