Ryan's POV

I was only three when I met my cousin, Ella. She was four at the time, almost exactly a year older than I was.  She and I were really close, and she would always be a bit rude and stubborn, but loving.

I grew up around parents who really didn't care for me much and spent more time with my aunt and uncle and Ella.

When I was about 11, I was visiting Ella for the summer. She seemed a bit worried about things... 

"Come on Ryan," She said, dragging me to her room. I looked around and saw she had decorated most of her things in pink, purple, and blue. "Nice choice of colors," I said casually. "Ryan, is this a good way to come out?" Ella asked. I looked at her questioningly. "Huh?" I asked. "Ryan I'm bisexual!" Ella exclaimed. "What does that mean?" I asked her. Ella sighed exasperatedly and explained everything she knew about LGBTQ+ and the differences. 

"Oh..." I said after her explanation. She waited for my reaction. I thought for a while. "So... your opinions?" Ella asked me. "If that's really how things work... I think i'm gay," I said. Ella smiled and pulled me into a hug. "You're awesome, Ryan," Ella said, beaming. I smiled and hugged her back.
