My Boing

"You guys are good to go."

Maya gave her best friend a smile as Riley made sure they were both perfectly in frame. "You ready," she asked, looking over at her husband.

He gave a small nod and reassuring smile before leaning in and giving Maya a quick peck before they both turned to face the camera and Maya began.

"Hey everybody welcome back to my channel or if you are new here welcome to my channel. My name is Maya and I record vlogs, beauty and fashion videos and I also share my passion for art on here and an occasional amsr because for some odd reason you guys like them. As you can see I am still not alone today if you guys saw my last video it was with this guy about the crazy past couple of months we had but if don't know already who this is let me introduce you to my Boing, my handsome husband, Josh, and we are here to do a Q&A., but first we have an announcement," Maya told the camera before looking over at her husband, lovingly.

"Do we?" Josh teased, grinning.

"Mmhhmm," Maya nodded, her smile growing as she continue looking at her husband before finally breaking her eye contact. "We. Are-"

"Daily vlogging-"

"No!" Maya laughed, pushed down Josh's arms. "Don't do that," she told him, her eyes back on her husband. "We are NOT daily vlogging," she address the camera, emphasizing a certain word. "But we are," she began looking at her husband before looking back at the camera. "Having a baby!" she smiled, singing the last word. "I know this isn't some huge special way to announce it to YouTube. We did just post a picture on Instagram announcing our baby before posting this and we know you guys will have all kind of question so we are going to answer all the baby questions I could think of you would ask then go into the Q&A questions and to save time I'll screen shot everyone's questions we are answering so you'll see who it comes from because it will pop up somewhere on the screen. I know one of the first questions is going to be when are we due?" she turned her attention to back to Josh.

"Soon-ish, but not too soon."

Maya nodded. "Yeah, when I say I'm pregnant. I am PREGNANT," she said, standing up to show and spreading her shirt out against her stomach to show her small bump. "I am twenty-one weeks. We are not going to say our exact due date but we are already more than half way there."

Josh nodded, placed a quick kiss on her forehead before placing his hand on Maya's stomach when she sat back down.

"I know another big question you guys are going to want to know is if it is a girl or boy, and we don't know," Maya revealed.

"Nope," Josh confirmed.

"Another big one is what are we hoping it is? Maya asked, looking over at her husband.

"Well," Josh tossed his hands up. "I mean," he said, pointing to himself like the answer is obvious. "I want a boy."

Maya nodded. "Yeah, I think we both would like a boy but we will just as happy with a girl."

"But we are thinking positive."

Both Maya and Riley chuckled at his words.

"Okay, what was our reactions to finding out we were pregnant?" Maya asked, pressing her lips together.

"Shocked," Josh answered.

"Yeah," Maya agreed, nodding.

"We weren't trying to get pregnant so it was a shocked but now we are excited for him to get here-"

"By him he means the baby because we don't know if the baby is a girl or boy-"

"Yeah but we're thinking positive," Josh said, causing Maya to smile, shaking her head.

"And we will be happy if the baby is a girl or boy."

Josh nodded, "True. I'm just thinking positive."

Both Riley and Maya laughed again.

"Why are you so against having a girl?" Riley asked from her spot behind the camera.

"Because I'm a guy and if I have a daughter who looks like her mother I don't want any guy thinking about my daughter the way I think about her mom."

"And how is that?" Maya asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Well your pregnant," he pointed out. "And-"

"That's all we need to hear about that," Riley interrupted, causing the couple to laugh. "Next question."

Maya looked back her list to see where they left off, "Names?"

Josh shook his head, shrugging.

"We have no names picked out."

"And he probably won't have a name until the day he gets here-"

"The baby," Maya corrected, knowing people were going to point out he keeps saying boy. "Baby boy or girl."

"Still thinking positive," Josh said, making Maya shake her head.

"We probably won't have a name until we are force to give him one because we don't agree on any name."

"Yep," Josh agreed.

"Another question I know you guy are wondering about is if we will put our baby on YouTube and our social medias? And the answer is..."

"Yes and no."

Maya nodded, 'Yeah, we are going to show you our baby but we don't know how much we will."

"We understand we share our lives especially Maya so you guys are interested and want to see our baby so you'll see the baby but we have to protect our baby so we haven't decide how much or how little we are going to share the baby. We don't know if it is going to be weekly or monthly. We just don't know yet and probably won't know until we have the baby."

"But we do know you guys will see the baby."

"Yeah," Josh agreed.

"I think that answers most of the big baby questions I think you guys will ask. We answered if it was a boy or girl, due date and names. I think those are the big three. We can answer more in the future."

Josh nodded.

"Let's get into the Q&A questions you guys asked. The first question is how long have we known each other? We've answered some of these questions before but we got a lot of new subscribers so we are going to answer them again."

Josh took in a deep breath, thinking about how long. "Well," he began, breathing out. "The first time we met was when she was like six and I was nine, and then we didn't see each other until she was thirteen and I was sixteen so really I would say ten year-ish if you don't include when we were kids. We've been close for eight-nine years."

"Yeah," Maya agreed. "When I like fifteen almost sixteen is when we became really close. Do I get along with your friends?"

Josh nodded. "Yeah,"

"Mhmm," Maya agreed as she adjusted herself on the bed.

"Yeah, you get along with all my friends."

"Yeah," Maya agreed. "Josh is very sociable and has lots of friends here in New York and in Philly even though a lot of you think I'm more of the social butterfly, I'm not, and he is actually the social butterfly."

Josh nodded.

"What are you majoring in?"

"I am following my sister-in-law steps and I'm studying to become a lawyer."

"Yep," Maya said, looking through questions on her phone. "How do you handle it if Riley and I have a disagreement?"

"I try to stay out it as much as I can," Josh answered right away causing Maya to nod. "But luckily we haven't really had any problems."

"When Josh and I first got together the three of us had conversation when I'm talking about the other one I'm not talking to them about their niece or their uncle. It' my best friend or my husband or boyfriend. I know both Josh and Riley have been in tough spots if I have a fight with Josh, Riley is or if I have a fight with Riley, Josh is and for me I would try not put them in the middle."

Josh nodded, 'Yeah, given the situation I think both Riley and I can agree if something was happening and she needed to open up we would have to be opened minded and be there for her and I'm not scare to say whomever is wrong if they are wrong and if she is venting about me then I probably deserved it."

"Here is a question that some will feel is a juicy question, how do my parents feel about you?"

"They like me."

Maya nodded, laughing, "Yeah, they love Josh-"

"But we have had rocky times."

Maya nodded.

"I think before we got married they liked me-"

"They did," Maya confirmed.

"But right after we got married was kind of tough."

"Yea," Maya sighed, agreeing.

"Which was expected. We got married and didn't tell anyone."

Maya nodded, "It changed things."

"Yeah," Josh agreed. "It changed things majorly. You moved out sooner than planned and in with me instead of a dorm, then the holidays we split them up between here and Philly so it was tough on both set of parents made it through and we are all in a good place."

"We are," Maya smiled, even though she knew it wasn't entirely true at least not lately when it came to her and his mother but she knew soon they would hopefully have that all cleared up. "Speaking of parents, have either of our parents ever caught us or have we ever had a close call with one of them?" she laughed causing Josh to laugh and shake his head at the question.

"What is with some of these questions?" he asked in disbelief, remembering some of the questions Maya skipped through.

"People are curious," she said, shrugging her shoulder before talking to the camera. "Mom and Dad put your hands over your ears. Josh?"

Josh nodded, "We've had a close call from both sets of our parent but we've never been caught in the act," he answered, shaking his head, not believing he is admitting some of these things to thousands of people.

"Yeah, we had some close call. One being, Josh," she began laughing when her husband looked over at her wondering what she was about to tell. "Had to hide under my bed after-"

"And that's all the details you are going to get," Riley cut off.

"Thank you niece."

"Okay, fine, party poopers" Maya laughed. "Here is a fun question, did you have a love of tacos before you married me?"

Josh laughed, "I've always loved tacos but never a much a her."

Maya nodded, smiling as she looked through questions. "Here is kind of a serious one, do we regret putting our relationship on the internet?"

"Hmm," Josh began, pondering the question. "At times...yes because I think about my career and if clients and potential clients will see it but then no because this is your channel and your life and I'm apart of your life."

"How did you know you wanted to get married young?"

"Hmm," Josh took in a deep breath before letting out. " I can't explain it and I know people hate that answer but it's the truth. Once Maya and I got  together and got real serious things changed for me. I never planned on getting married as young as we did get married. I thought I would finish college and Maya would be at least close to finishing college but life throws you curves balls and she brought up the idea of getting married sooner than later and I wanted it too. I know a lot of people believe because we got married so young we missed out and I disagree. I've gotten to do everything I've ever wanted to do and I got to do it with my best friend at my side and with her support. I knew I would never love anyone the way I love her so why wait another minute?"

Maya smiled as she stared lovingly at her husband as he answered the question. "I love you, babe."

"I love you too," he said back, placing a quick peck on her lips.

"You two are so in love it's gross."

Josh laughed, "Hey, I can't help it look at her."

Riley rolled her eyes. "I think Maya being pregnant has made the two of you more in love."

Josh shook his head looking at Riley as if she was crazy, "No."

"Really?" Riley asked, surprised as Maya looked at Josh nervously.

"Yeah, I hate when people act as if a child makes someone love someone more," Josh admitted. "Just think about it there are couples out there who never have children for multiple different reasons whether they can't have one or choose not to, but just because they don't have a child together doesn't makes their love for each other less than a couple who has a child together. I used to hate when people would tell me wait until you have a child with Maya you'll love her even more like I didn't love Maya as much as they loved their significant other because we didn't have a child yet. Maya already had my full heart before she got pregnant. I love her more than I love anything. I think Maya being pregnant has put us on a new journey together and we are stronger in different areas in our relationship than before and we are now connected together forever because we are bringing a child into the world together and maybe I'm wrong. Maybe after seeing Maya give birth and our child is here I will feel different but I hate people assuming because you have a child makes you love your partner more. A lot of people get married and have kids and are miserabl-" he began but stopped when he realized what he was about to say in front of his niece. "Sorry, Riley-"

"No," Riley brushed him off. "It's the truth. A lot of people who have children can't make a marriage work."

Maya looked over at her best friend and could see the heartbreak. She looked back over to her husband, "Ummm, how about we wrap this up?" she asked Josh who gave a slight nod. Maya looked back the camera, "That's all the time we have but don't worry we will do another Q&A soon and don't forget to give this a thumbs up, subscribe if you haven't already and I'll see you in the next video."

Maya finished wrapping up the video before looking back over at her best friend worried, "Are you okay?"

Riley looked down before shaking her head. "No. No, I'm not okay."
