guess who's back

Molly was busying herself with making as much food as possible as she basically forced food down Draco's throat. This exact same thing had happened when Harry originally came to the burrow. Somehow Harry had become her favourite. By the looks of it, she had a new favourite. At least that's what it looked like to Ron.

Swiftly he made his way to his sister's room.

Ginny was one of the two Weasley children still living at the burrow. The house had seemed much less of what it used to be; lively. Now it had become a reminder of who had temporarily and permanantly left their lives. The only reason Ron hadn't moved in with Hermione yet was because he was worried about his parents. Hermione had the idea of moving into the burrow herself, but Ron had convinced her not to.

"Guess who showed up through the floo in only a towel and a sweater that looked like it was Harry's?" Ron shot out the moment the door was open.

Ginny answered bitterly, "some bimbo Harry saved from an emergency."

Opening his mouth to correct her, he shut it again. Then he furrowed his eyebrow while looking up. "Well you're not wrong," Ron spoke with the same tone he would use when there was a difficult question in potions. "He was saved by Harry from what I understand."

This peaked Ginny's interest. Which confused Ron until she asked, "he?"

"Yes he."

Tilting her head, her attention now fully on Ron and not her letters she'd just received. Those could wait. "Who is it, what happened, and where's Harry?"

"Well I'm not totally sure what happened. He just kinda flew out of the fireplace in a huge panic, and shortly after Harry followed looking like he'd been blown up but acting completely fine. Harry said something along the lines of Karkaroff put a tracking spell on him, and he would get it figured out," Ron summarized what he knew.

Ginny was sitting up straight. "You still haven't answered my other two questions you bloody twit. Where's Harry and who did he save?"

"I dunno, probably at the ministry getting the tracker off. If not then probably the hospital," he finished.

Ginny looked expectingly at Ron for a couple moments before sighing and raising her voice. "Ron you really can't answer two questions at once can you? Who did Harry save this time?"

Not surprised by his sister's outbreak of mild anger, he responded, "you'd never believe it if it weren't for the fact that he came through the floo, and mum forced him into a bath with all your soaps, and he's being fed by mu-," he was interrupted mid word.

"Get to the point Ronald!"

Glaring before continuing, "It was Draco."

Ginny's mouth dropped open. That was when Ron remembered she'd been away for a couple weeks for tryouts with a couple quidditch teams, and trying to get her name out there. It would have most likely been best to explain it from the start.

Surrounded by three healers, Harry lay defeated. Occasionally he'd feel one of the healers penetrate him with magic he was now familiar with. Each "Uncomfortable but necessary," as so many healers had told him in the past.

The setting was the same as always. The room they had saved for him. They'd found it best to always put him in here when he awoke in a different room and nearly injured two people in a panic. There was another occasion like this when he'd had a panic attack in a separate room and the entire room had went on fire.

Familiarity was necessary for Harry Potter. The healers may have realized this, but Harry had not. At this point they had twelve healers who were assigned to Potter if he came in. It was twelve because some days they needed days off, and often there was an emergency holding up one of the others. This way there was an average of two or three able to help him each time.

It was the same as always. Even when the door swung open, and an angry person stormed in. That wasn't new either

This time the angry person was Ginny. She got held back by a wide eyed Ron after she slammed the door open.

She was saying things like "Let me get at 'em!" and "I'll give that boy a piece of my mind!" This was among swears of course.

Harry just stared blankly while Ron pulled Ginny from the room.

Once the door was closed, a healer gave a flick of her wrist and Harry heard the door click. What had he done to upset Ginny this time?

Draco was covered in what he used to refer to as Weasley's miserable wardrobe. Finding it comfier than he liked to admit, and actually kept him warm unlike his own clothing. It may not have been high quality either, but Mrs. Weasley's kindness definitely made him care less about what he was wearing.

After years of hatred between the Malfoys and the Weasleys, this made the treatment he was receiving out of the ordinary. It already was out of the ordinary for Draco. The last time he had a hug from his mother was after the war. He had a faint memory of years ago when he received another. That really was a long time ago.

Mrs. Weasley, who was insisting upon being called Molly, had been doing everything in her power to help Draco feel welcomed. She didn't care about the rivalry between their families. A boy who needed her popped out of the fire place and help she will.

Although she was slightly worried about one of her own at the moment as well. When Ginny had stormed out, she had not looked happy. The only reason Molly didn't go after her daughter who looked set on murder was because her youngest son raced shortly behind. This time Ron could handle it. That gave Molly the ability to continue her attempt at cheering up the young Malfoy that had gotten a change of clothing.

The white haired boy in front of her had changed. He'd been thanking her, and attempting to be kind back. Last time she met the boy he had a large superiority complex and was rather rude. If Draco had received help from Molly then, he more than likely would have been insulted, not grateful. The poor boy's eyes had changed as well. His eyes had become more hollow in a way, yet also full of something else. It was hard to place, but it seemed to be a mixture of grief, confusion, hopelessness, and sadness. The entire atmosphere around the boy had changed. Molly didn't know if she liked it.

Tending to every possible need the boy in front of her may have, she didn't realize that he'd been working up the courage to ask a question. A quiet voice spoke up behind her, "Why are you helping me?"

Not even thinking of the answer, she spoke, "Because you need it."

This only left Draco more baffled than before.

Finally Ron had gotten Ginny to calm down. It was rather good timing too, because that was when the healer allowed them in with the exception that they wouldn't hurt, "Mr. Potter," as she'd said.

By some miracle Ginny had calmed down and agreed to listen to Harry's explanation. Having no idea how he did it, he was looking back at his actions for the next time. Merlin knows there will be. He'd brought her out of the room and waited until she'd become less aggressive. Then as she'd slightly calmed, he said that Harry had a perfectly good explanation if she would just quit her banshee hollering and listen. Maybe it was the insult? Either way that wasn't important right now. Keeping Harry safe from the monster half of her sister was.

As they entered, Ginny had her arms crossed. That already wasn't a good sign.

"Explain Harry," she demanded.

Looking up at Ron for help, Harry was trying to figure out what Ginny wanted explained to her.

Loudly she sighed before she rephrased, "Explain why Malfoy was half naked and suddenly appeared at our floo."

Harry's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Well he was having a bath, and Karkaroff used the tracking spell he recently put on me to find me and managed to break through grimauld pla-" He was cut off.

"No, I want to know why Malfoy was there. In your bathtub." Her voice was as sharp as the dagger he had held not long ago.

"Well he's been living with me, and he needs to be clean," Harry attempted to explain.

Ginny sat staring in disbelief. The calm before the storm. If Harry didn't watch out, he could receive worse than Ginny's famous bat bogey charm.

"Did you really move on from me that fast? It hasn't even been a month yet, and suddenly you like guys and Malfoy moves in? I found out when he shows up at our house half naked and wearing your sweater! Is this to spite me or something?" Ginny spat out with rage in her eyes.

Harry's eyes widened and he suddenly understood. He really was daft. After their heartfelt breakup that they'd both agreed was for the best, they'd agreed they had both simply changed too much. They had agreed to remain friends. That was a little over a month ago. This made it seem as if he'd been cheating on Ginny during the war with Draco. No wonder Ginny was seeing red, and it wasn't just her hair.

"No, no its not like that!" Harry exclaimed. "Let me explain!"

Glaring, Ginny raised an eyebrow. "That's why Ron let me back in here."

"He just kind of ended up staying at my house through his trial?" Harry attempted.

Sighing, Ron intervened, "Malfoy was either going to Azkaban or somone had to take him in for a year. Nobody stepped forward and Harry's saviour complex jumped in right as the dunderhead was being led to Azkaban."

Ginny nodded. She sat quietly for a while looking anywhere but Harry. In the end she spoke sharply, "Alright. I'm not sure what to think about this, but I'll try to get used to the idea. You should've at least told me Harry. We agreed to stay friends and keep in contact." Ginny stood and went to leave. She'd opened the door before she swiftly turned back. Not looking up she muttered, "I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions, but you really should've told me. Bye Harry."

With a soft click, she was gone.

"Blimey Harry, you escaped death again and got an apology!"

Harry snorted and lay back in the bed.
